I am a newbie here in forum but I already knew cryptocurrency since 2018. But all I know is to invest and trade my money only.
I started my trading journey in 2019 and it did not bring a lot of profits.
I did not learn from my past mistakes and yet, I was still aggressive. I lose more than 1000 dollars because of my ignorance.

One would think that something can be learned over the years, but you yourself admit that this is not the case. The world of cryptocurrencies is mostly made up of illusions and scams, the sooner you realize that, the more money you will have left in your pocket.

Now, I discovered the different forums in cryptocurrency as well as this forum. Hoping to learn more about cryptocurrency and how it really works. I will not stop until I can invest in a right project and contribute a lot in this forum.

Right project? Do you think that everyone on this forum is honest and with good intentions, and that the projects you will find here are exactly what you are looking for? Maybe it will surprise you, but the scams on this forum are not even moderated, and if you continue to be naive, that $1000 will at some point seem like a very small amount.

So for the newbies like me, why did you join bitcointalk.org?

I heard that Satoshi Nakamoto will appear one day and send all active members at least 1 BTC, so I said why not be here when that happens Wink Just kidding of course

Why I am here? Honestly, a friend of mine told me this forum he is an investor in a crypto world but when I heard about this forum I don't have any interested about this until he thought me that this is his alma mater which is he learn a lot of knowledge about investing and that the reason why he try to invest. So without further a do ill grab that opportunity to be part of this community and I am not regreting that I am here cause my knowledge will grow about crypto. cause before I enter here I don't have any knowledge about crypto and also don't know what is bitcoin and what is crypto currencies.

The reason I am here sometimes feels as if fate has led me because any person that is serious about bitcoin will eventually end up here I believe.

I was one of those people who were interested in making money online and especially with trading/ crypto etc. but every time I would learn a certain way, I would want to hold off from starting and really think through or try to find a person that is really making a living off of that thing. You know, and the more research I did, the more I realized, I should keep learning and studying all the while staying away from all those self-claimed gurus that want to teach you how to make a big amount fast.

I also somehow found out that the real people who are making money or making such big amounts would never ever advertize it or try to teach it to other people in return to a couple of thousand dollars. I am not saying a couple of thousand dollars is not a big money, it is, in fact, it is a huge money where I am, but imagine you are the person that is making so much in one hour, would you go teaching people how to do that and bring more competition ?

So, this is really against normal logic, and the people who actually make that much, possess more than just normal logic. I belive.

Thus, with all this understanding, and realization, I am here to learn more and make an educated decision when the time comes!

Coming to bitcointalk is most likely related to making having an urge to make enquiry about bitcoin and after several attempts and sites visited then you either concluded on coming here and landed here coincidentally but there must actually be a thing you're after to learn or seek attention for with you getting introduced to bitcoin, now here on the forum now depends how you also find it helpful and supportive, and this comes in with seeing members coming to stay while some left immediately they are attended to but it's such a community one will always love to interact and share ideas about bitcoin.

Truly sorry for your losses. Menhh you must have gone through a lot emotionally and mentally but i hope you discovering this forum will help you alot in your journey in the cryptospace.
I joined this forum due to the interest i developed for bitcoin but i was guided by a friend who is familiar with the forum. The news of how bitcoin has been so good in my locality was the current trend everywhere, although bitcoin was banned in my country as an illegal currency but that didn't stop people from trading through peer to peer transaction all around. I was confused about bitcoin at first, but since i joined i have been able to understand alot and i have also turned an investor in bitcoin by purchasing some reasonable amount of bitcoin and hodling it for a long term investment. I never believed i would even be the telling people about bitcoin now and all that is because of the forum and the knowledge i have gotten from the forum.

Sorry for your losses and I believe you learn from your mistake this time.
Newbies don't heard to advice unless they are victim of it. Any pay one and get two scheme is a scam. No one is willing to give you a stranger butter. Be wise.

~snip~Also, for me, the forum still has some historical value - it was from this that the development of crypto and crypto currencies began, it was here that the founding fathers communicated, which adds its own special flavor.
This forum does have a lot of history related to bitcoin. the origin of this forum is also because bitcoin inventors want more intense discussion about bitcoin and bitcoin enthusiasts to get together to exchange their thoughts for the development of bitcoin.

Here, not all conversations revolve around making money on cryptocurrencies, not only about ways to save your savings, but also on many other topics. But the main attraction of the forum is that the community is very active. Some events are constantly taking place, contests and raffles are held, in general, life is seething here. Almost everyone can find here interesting directions for themselves, of course, on the topic of crypto currencies or contiguous areas.

This forum is a major source of knowledge for cryptocurrencies especially bitcoin. but when we talk about making money from this forum, it seems more and more interesting and more people start coming. even though it's not just about money people join this forum.

I came here to find like minded people who were interested in bitcoin. I had some questions about full nodes, bitcoin wallets and some other things and people here had the knowledge that I needed.
While being here I found out you could make money posting and I won't hide that this was one of the reasons why I spent so much time here. To this day this is the only online forum that I use and I still like it. I thought it would get boring after a few years but it's still good to be here.

why did you join bitcointalk.org?
I developed an interest in bitcoins and stumbled on this forum. I didn't have complete access to all the information in all the boards because I was not a member so I had to sign up and join. The reason I'm still here is because nobody has asked me to invest like some other websites that have bitcoins in their name do (obvious scams). I enjoy contributing my own perspectives to discussions as a matter of fact I look forward to it daily as it has become a part of my lifestyle. I love bitcointalk and I'll be here giving my own little contributions for a long time.

As I remember, I came to learn more about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency through the recommendation of a friend. I had limited knowledge of the concept, so I was looking for sources of information that I could trust. Bitcointalk.org is a good resource for learning about the technical details of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, as well as staying up-to-date with the latest developments in the industry. The forum is a place where users can ask questions, share their thoughts and ideas, and engage with other users who are interested in Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. This can be a great way for newbies to learn more about the topic and get answers to their questions. This can also be a great opportunity to connect with other like-minded individuals and potentially even collaborate on projects or business ventures.

You have really passed through a tough time and I hope this time you are going to be fortunate. Well cryptocurrency is diverse and having this kind of knowledge would give you an edge to understand fully how the market works and since you have had these kind of opportunity, I hope you will take a better decisions. I think you are in the right place to be and you will have to ask questions on where you don't understand so that you can have an adequate knowledge. My experience was not as similar to this and I hope you will do better this time.

Honestly, I was at first here to get money because I saw my friends are very successful in getting money from cryptocurrency, one of them is by earning money from this forum.
After being here and doing many tasks, I was aware that earning money here is not as easy as I see. And moreover, the condition has been different in the past. This was hard. However, I didn't know exactly what to do. But, experiences told me much. Experiences from myself and also from many members here really taught me many things that to earn much money, to get worthier, I must learn more and more. And never expect to be rich because of those forums. However, I didn't know many things. Additionally, this is not enough, crypto is complex. I also started to get money from ding airdrop and also future trading. And these failed because I was really a newbie and didn't know anything, but only following any signal. Well, this is a worthy lesson.

And please, for everyone who is new here, you need to set first what you want here. This is not the forum where you will need extra money easily because it is not as easy as you may think. Try to learn more before expecting, so you can consider at what level you are and what to do to reach a higher level.

Investing in crypto is a high risk, never believe someone who promises you big profits easily by investing in shit tokens, I had this bad experience, shit tokens will only make those people who really know the ways to utilize pump and dump, only for the developer teams that earn money from victims, but for newbies, this is harmful and high risk because you are on their traps.

I have shared my journey here in Bitcointalk and why I joined this forum. On 2018, I was taught by someone I know personally and guided me what he knows about this forum and what I can do in this forum. During that year, ranking up an account doesn't require merit in order to rank up. Days later after I joined the forum where the merit is implemented which is the additional new rank requirement to rank up. Before the merit implementation, my goal is to increase my rank through posting where as I have explained that ranking up doesn't require merit. The reason for that is because of bounty campaigns that I can participate and also earn money. To make it short, I joined forum to earn money which is what I was taught before when I know about Bitcoin and Bitcointalk forum. Anyways, that was before and all those time I spent in this forum is what made me know the things I know about cryptocurrency until now.

When I first joined this forum it was to learn about wallets and exchanges. I wanted to buy bitcoin and hold it as a store of value and inflation hedge and I knew that we were in a bear market, so the time was right. It have me exactly what I wanted. I've learned so much here about the importance of self-custody and hodling. Thanks to this community I managed to avoid all exchange collapses and cloud mining scams and I still have coins that I bought back in 2015 and 2016.

My message to all the newbies who think they're too late for the party: people who were joining in 2013 thought the same! Then came 2014 and people thought it was all over and every single year people register here and abandon their accounts thinking they came too late.

Quoting for visibility of the photo for others.

Well it'd be like that sometimes, OP.

I hope you are doing well now these days though. I am not familiar with that MYER thing, but surely if I hear investing to a third party crypto miner, I am pretty sure that it is a scam.
Since you are already here, just telling ya that you might not need other project to invest to, maybe just call it to Bitcoin and leave it. Considering how common crypto is mentioned now these days in addition of random NFTs everywhere, I would not be surprised that a lot are scams now these days.

Invest in Bitcoin to put an end to all fraudulent projects. Any other projects besides Bitcoin are vulnerable to fraud because they are overseen by a group of people who own shares in the project or the CEO of that particular project; as a result, when a problem arises, they simply sell their shares or abandon ship, putting an end to the projects.
