The fixed upward limit on the supply despite being so simple is one of the most innovative aspects of bitcoin as not even gold has that limit, this makes bitcoin the hardest form of money ever created, and when we consider all the other characteristics of bitcoin it becomes obvious why is so expensive.

And as the years go by and bitcoin keeps getting more expensive while fiat keeps losing value it becomes more difficult for governments to convince their citizens to not invest in bitcoin when the benefits of doing so are so obvious.

Ordinary people just have no option of real saving of their savings: economy is inflationary, property is taxed and sometimes can seized, trading is hard and risky, deposits have low or even negative percentage. So when we got a deflationaty asset it become one of the most easiest ways for saving.

And governments will try to find a way to tax it and make it not so beneficial. They always do so. Grin

First off, welcome to the Bitcoin world and to this forum. Glad that you choose the right place and the right coin because you know, almost newbie do only got involved in crypto because of those new crypto trends. Not only that they follow the wrong coin but they too follow the wrong people so as a result, they only lose their money and get disappointed about cryptos.

If you ask why I am interested in Bitcoin, well to be honest because of its amazing properties which its value can grow over time. Back in time, I was also looking for ways to make money online and that made me discover Bitcoin eventually and this forum because of their signature campaign but im glad that I learned a lot other than the earnings that I get.

A lot of people are Investing on Bitcoin today and I don't want to be left behind.
I don't expect someone invests in Bitcoin because of following others, without any clear reason.
Investing in Bitcoin is a high risk, you may just waste your money on Bitcoin if you have no good fundamentals. Make sure you learn the basic things about Bitcoin investment, understand how the market works, and know well its volatility. If you think you have enough knowledge, then you can start to invest in Bitcoin.

My main reason is that in my country (Nigeria) I don't think fisical cash will be more valuable than Bitcoin in time to come.
Bitcoin isn't the same as physical money.
Its value is increasing, while physical money tends to lose its value (especially fiats).
You are right that Bitcoin future is much better than physical money.

Its decentralized nature, as well as the ability to have complete control over funds stored in an offline wallet. Bitcoin will remain bitcoin regardless of how long it takes to recover against the dollar in the market. It is a dependable investment from which one can profit greatly after thoroughly understanding the market.

Bitcoin builds values and stripped naked all centralised entities power, that's why I am so into the digital currency, also I never liked how the government treats people in my country and Bitcoin feels like the perfect fighting tool against the control of the government, if the government can control my Fiat in the bank there is at least something they have no power over, that is Bitcoin.

I remember a scene where the youths of the country are fighting for their rights, the government seized all access to big amount of transfer within that period of time and guess what? People start sending Bitcoin from all around the world to support the youths, it was a great experience.

Bitcoin has certainly disrupted the traditional financial system and provided a new way for individuals to transact and store value without relying on central authority. Its decentralized nature makes it resistant to censorship and allows for cross-border transactions without intermediaries.

It's inspiring to hear about how Bitcoin has been used to support activism and social causes. However, it's important to note that using Bitcoin does come with risks, including potential for theft and price volatility. Additionally, in some countries, the use of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies may be restricted or even illegal.

Regardless, the potential for Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies to promote financial freedom and disrupt traditional power structures is an exciting development, and it will be interesting to see how it continues to evolve in the future.

Profit and I just want to have an experience to this new currency that can change the shape of how financial system is right now in the world.

I mean don't be stupid and we know that we are interested in Bitcoin because of the profit potential that we can get right? Who doesn't like to invest into a cryptocurrency that can make your money x5 or x10 in just a span of a few years. No other asset can give that profit aside from Bitcoin.

I also believe that Bitcoin will be a game changer. It might not be now, but in the next decades, our financial system might change and that's because of Bitcoin and the whole cryptocurrency.

OP, first of all.... you do not "invest" in Bitcoin... you simply buy bitcoins to use it.... BUT you can (like you do with Forex trading) ..buy & sell bitcoins to trade with it. People have these wild ideas that Bitcoin was developed as a "Commodity" ...but it is actually supposed to be an alternative currency to Fiat currencies.

The problem are that governments are protecting their local Fiat currencies, so they do not want to allow Bitcoin to be used as a currency, so they define it as a "Commodity"  Roll Eyes

If you use bitcoin to trade like forex, your goal is not much different from others, the end result is that you are looking for profit.

If I were the government, I would never accept bitcoin as a currency, if they accept a volatile asset like bitcoin as currency, they are destroying the national economy. I hope they're not that stupid.

I am interested in Bitcoin primarily because millions of people want it and have it for whatever reasons.  It's always puzzled me why there is so much demand for something so superficial which has no tangible value (like gold or oil or jewels).  But the fact that millions of people around the world have somehow justified their ownership of it, adds some magical attraction that can't be explained.  Personally, I own some as a store of future value.  Since my bank was only paying 2% interest on my savings account, I figured I would buy some Bitcoin with those funds the next time the price dropped.  I was lucky to buy some last year in December 2022 after Bitcoin prices had dropped, and seemed to be stabilized.  Since them, due to the price volatility of Bitcoin, its value has increased 42% just in under 2 months.  To me, that is much better return than from my bank savings account.  I expect to just hold my Bitcoin stash for the next 10 years.  No matter how the price fluctuates, if I manage to get more than 2% APY out of it, over 10 years, then my funds will have grown much more than if I kept them in the bank.  The way I see it, the only risk will be that Bitcoins will disappear in 10 years, and my holdings will be 0.  Therefore, I'm betting that Bitcoins will continue to survive for a long duration.

I want to ask you guys. Why are you interested in investing in bitcoin?
Bitcoin is the most profitable investment. No other investments offer the potential of significant profits as in Bitcoin. That's the main reason why I choose Bitcoin as my investment. I think most people have the same reason as me, we choose Bitcoin because of its potential profits. Other reasons are investing in Bitcoin easily and don't need to have big money. We can invest in Bitcoin at any time and with any amount of money we have. Even if we only have $10, we can buy Bitcoin. It is very different if you invest in land or gold, you must have sufficient money to buy them.

In addition, this bitcoin can also be saving for your future, the beauty of this is that the value you sell for bitcoin can be 10x or 100x depending on what happens, then you can also apply it to a business if you already have a business, and you can send 24/7 even anywhere in the world via money transfer.
We put money in Bitcoin isn't for saving. Our purpose is to get profits, we multiply the money.
It is quite different between saving and investing! People are saving for reserved money, but people are investing for earning profits.

If we are looking at it from investment point of view then we can have profits from it when the price rises so this is what many investors are looking for but the second thing is decentralisation concept giving you full control of your funds without intervention of any third party making global payments with normal fees. The more you understand about btc the more interested you become in it.

But the biggest concern is still profit, I think bitcoin will still be used if it's no longer profitable but it won't get as big of interest as it is today. Honestly, I'm not too interested in using it for global payments because I don't buy goods from abroad, I care about privacy and control of my assets, but what I care most about is profit.  If bitcoin becomes stable, I probably won't care about it anymore because I wouldn't trade the risk just to get my privacy.

I have experienced with many kinds investment and I think Bitcoin most interested investment assets depend with other, increasing up and down drastically and having potential earn profit trough Bitcoin investment more higher than other. I leave all investment kinds after knowing with Bitcoin although several time having bad experience with price drop.

Comparison with other investment I earn much profit in shorth time in Bitcoin and this reason why I so interested with Bitcoin right now, there are not enough reason how explore with advantage investing in Bitcoin than other investment kinds right now with potential profit earn under 10% until 30% in one years.

Simply because of it's volatility. When there's no volatility, holding Bitcoin will not benefit you. This is the main reason for everyone why they hold some Bitcoins in the first place. Because of volatility, the price can be doubled, tripled or more in just a short period of time. You can do anything you want in your life and wait until you can afford sell the price. Unlike holding fiat in the bank, 1-3% annual interest. So this is why I'm interested in investing Bitcoin.

Since we are in this year, my reason for investing in bitcoin is to make more profits and I believe those profits will surely be huge. You can also invest in bitcoins if you want and start buying bitcoins now and hold on until the price goes above the last ATH and sell your bitcoins at that time. But before you start investing in bitcoin, you have to understand the risks first and find out how to deal with the risks so that you don't panic if you see bitcoin price changes too frequently. Many people out there don't want to learn to deal with risks, so that makes them panic and immediately sell their bitcoins to avoid losses, but they already lose when they sell their bitcoins.
