Bill gates is a busy man he has a lot of business and have to deal with it everyday, I don't think he still have time to think another investment he is focus with his existing business. But if he wants to invest in bitcoin then why not if he will announce it then more people will use bitcoin since Bill Gates is very influential man.

Indeed he has a lot of things to do and thinking of other investment like bitcoins is not on his to do list.  Though for sure he knew about bitcoins since he is into technology.  Maybe he bought some of it for the fun of having it or the feels.  But he is certainly too busy to do such things.  He will be a good fit if he will advertise bitcoin.

Hello,
I just want to know why Bill Gates do not invest some money in Bitcoin, he will be a very big contributor to the crypto world, and will also be very respected, he will also be able to become more rich (or less).
But what is the reason why he do not invest funds in cryptocurrencies?
Bill Gates is counted among the most rich people in the world, his riches is so much that cannot be outdated (as in him, his family and his linage) for more and more years to come, to me I think he is so satisfied with his riches and daily income to start looking into crypto-currencies too

The reason is that why he need to invest in bitcoin? He has already much more money, and Microsoft accepting bitcoin if I am right.
Maybe he is using bitcoin for personal use , and don't want to explore that

I think Bill Gates doesn't want to invest due to the amount of money he already has. Why would he need it at all?

I think maybe this time Bill Gates looking for some peace and want to take a break from such affairs, you know he is very rich, he has everything and maybe he is confused to use his money.  Grin
He is now a philanthropist and not interested to gain money anymore because he had most of the money of the world and maybe too old to venture out on crypto. Maybe young generation billionaire will adopt btc just like mark Zuckerberg.

Business that he mastered is for the world of fiat, the world will be uproar when the owner of microsoft windows play bitcoin. But we need to know that bill gates is an active contributor to the development of bitcoin and blockchain, it proves that he cares and chooses to play just as personal.

We cannot know whether he invest in cryptocurrency or not. I think he invested in bitcoin a lot just for fun.

Well if not mistaken he do know about this technology and he also quotes some positive things about bitcoin and cyptocurrency. So he would have invested for sure considering the positive side of bitcoin and its usefulness it provide to individuals and organizations. If he comes openly and say anything good about this will help to surge bitcoin prices.  Smiley

I am sure he is an anonymous investor. Bill Gates always makes me surprised in the cryptocurrency. He can even regulate the Bitcoin market in minutes. I think Bil Gates owns a lot of assets in cryptocurrency

I also think so that Bill Gates is into the crypto world. Actually it didn't matter if he will announce that he invested here because he wants somehow a little privacy. He's already in the lime light and don't bother to make noise.

First, he has become the number one richest man in the world, and secondly, he also has a good attitude in business, and the third he is not greedy.

The reason he didn't invest yet is due to politics. Bitcoin is a deeply anti-establishment currency. He has to uphold an image that he is part of the establishment. Microsoft has to continuously lobby high-ranking decision makers which mean going too deep into cryptocurrency would probably hurt their chances.
It's all about politics I think.

Bill Gates is part of the elite establishment, and likely, until very recently, the elite establishment have attempted to ignore Bitcoin, or scoff at it entirely. This is becoming increasingly difficult as time goes on and Bitcoin continues to assert itself.

I don't know but when it comes to investment the billionaire that will always come up in mind is Warren Buffet in which is known for investment techniques in a variety of way from stocks to real estate he knows it all. Right now I don't see any news of Warren Buffet related to Bitcoin, or at least him voicing out his idea on it. Bill Gates on the other hand is totally invested in his company which is Microsoft in which he is currently focus on getting some market share away from Apple's Mac for his Surface Book Laptops.
In short they arent have any interest on diving in on bitcoin and how the heck they would like to join in since they do have lots of money considering on their overall assets? I cant think that they would still able to join in though. It would be a good thing but their interest is on something else and also even Bill gates wont join in bitcoin doesnt matter at all since he do have the money can sustain his own entire life without the need on other investments.

Bill Gates stated that bitcoin is better than currency:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e6KRp91YAw8

I'm sure he owns bitcoin.

I think -- maybe -- he does have some, probably for study, because of his interest in securing future financial transactions using blockchain tech.

He may be thinking about it as some sort of investment like maybe creating one which is regulated -- based on his stance via interviews, and his involvement in the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance.

Based on his interview, he does like the idea of a technology that allows users to make relatively inexpensive and fast transactions but has some reservations with bitcoin in terms of pseudonymity concerns. Hence, his involvement in developing private blockchains on the ethereum platform ( https://www.entrepreneur.com/article/238103 and http://fortune.com/2017/02/28/ethereum-jpmorgan-microsoft-alliance/ )
