State may prohibit the use of bitcoin. But the state cannot ban bitcoin itself.  And it's impossible to stop development of the blockchain technology.
Therefore, bitcoin will exist for a very long time

Bitcoin has very high security and anonymity so it is difficult to prevent Bitcoin. In fact, since it was created, Bitcoin has been banned by many countries but still cannot stop Bitcoin from developing. The cryptocurrency market in general and Bitcoin in particular are the global trend so its strong development in the future is inevitable.
Agree that the prevention of bitcoin is clearly going to be difficult to do, right you say even though many countries forbid bitcoin, it is very certain that there will be obstacles that will occur. because as long as technology advances will make it more difficult for the ban. bitcoin will become more an investment alternative because of this convenience.

Bitcoin's community is too big to let governments to ban it.
Maybe, because the government would listen to the people since the purpose of the government is to govern people.
They would not ban it, it's not a threat to them or to the people, bitcoin just needs to be regulated by them and I think they can find ways to do it.

There are in some countries that still prohibit the existence of bitcoin, one of which is Taiwan. Their government is afraid that bitcoin is used for money laundering and another reason is fear that digital currencies will be used as financing for terrorism. From all over the world few have banned, and in some other countries have developed bitcoin, because the more support from the public, the bitcoin will not be prohibited or deleted as the value of the digital currency.

Also they facing the pressure from China Mainland. With the high power of China. They are securing their transaction. But if you use bitcoin there will be no record of that.As you said they are fear those digital currencies should for those things.

Baning digital currency is very hard, you know why? Cos its been done through the comfort of your house. Nobody knows what you're doing unless you tell someone about it. The whole world is going digital and it's accepted by all. Bitcoin is now the digital currency we all know and use to run our transaction without government or bank involvement

I think that the author of that article should speak with the Chinese Government since they are now banning bitcoin. We all know that once the Chinese Government moves it's for real. Too bad for Chinese people who use bitcoin and other cryptos, lucky for us since our government thinks the same as the author of this article.
I don't know why China always ban bitcoin. This is not the only event that China banned bitcoin. I have seen many articles referring to the banning of bitcoin in China. I don't know their real intentions but I do think that it is just a warn for their citizen to keep out in this industry. Well, we could not blame them after all.

I would like to take up the points of an article published on Bitcoinist. (Even if some will say that this media is Pro-Bitcoin the points are the most important.)

Quote
1. Laws Can’t Be Written Against Bits and Bites
2. You Can’t Ban Open-Source Distributed Software
3. Bitcoin Can Be Broadcasted via Satellite
4. You can Send Bitcoin Via SMS
5. You Can’t Shut Down the Power Grid

Any regulation can't prevent us from using Bitcoin. Despite their attempt to keep an eye on the system, it is simply impossible for them to ban people using it. So why giving a fuck to "I'm afraid my country will ban Bitcoin!"
They have nothing to fully stop the ecosystem that is currently emerging.

That is actually a good list and there might be some addition to that list. We can say that as long as there is Internet then Bitcoin can still exist. As long as there are Data usable then Bitcoin will still be usable for those who can access it. Some Countries might limit the use of it but Banning it sounds impossible. Having some regulations to avoid abusement might be helpful and teaching Cryptocurrency and Blockchain to those who have few knowledge about it might change their minds.

You should be afraid because even if you can still use Bitcoin you are still getting apprehended if your government caught you, So we should still give a fuck about it unless you are some sort of geeks who's all purchases are untraceable. Fighting for bitcoin to be legalize is still much better than keeping your ass out because you can still manage to use it in any other ways.

At some part I realized that OP has a big point here. We can easily send bitcoin thru sms, we can also use VPNs not to detect and not to use current IP address. We can still patronize and use bitcoin in different ways. But still, the government has still great power. People is still under centralized system under government and the truth is people are afraid in punishments and imprisonment.

It can't be banned because no one can control bitcoin even the creator of bitcoin no one knows who really is and also bitcoin is getting more popular each day and it has many supporters.

You don't need a person to be in control to ban it. A ban can be imposed by the government and it doesn't matter if there is or is not a person to blame. You can even ban an act of doing something like drinking in public. If they decide to ban it they will and all you'll be able to do about it is protest or leave the country.

They can ban it but it doesn't mean they will. It's a good invention and many countries see it and welcome the profits people are generating.

To ban Bitcoin, governments will have to ban all communications.
“Bitcoin is just a list of accounts and their balances, and when you send bitcoins to someone, you send a message in a language understandable to your computer that money was transferred from account A to account B.
In the same way, someone can meet someone in person or make a phone call saying: “Here. Write down these coordinates, I sent you bitcoin. ” For the effectiveness of the ban, it is necessary to ban all forms of communication and language, which is impossible. ”

Well, despite existing for over a decade, bitcoin is still in its infancy stage. No one knows where it will go from here, not even the government, which is why governments are not sure how this currency should be regulated.

Also, bitcoin works in a peer-to-peer fashion, and it is quite challenging to block, such as a system. Even if cryptocurrencies become illegal, there will still be people using it because of its peer-to-peer aspect.

Another reason I think why bitcoin can’t be banned is that it is now a part of the budding economic system. The community of startups, miners, exchanges, etc. is growing more and more every day. If bitcoin is made illegal, many legitimate applications of bitcoin will be destroyed.

Of course, bitcoins cannot disappear, because nobody controls it.  But if we are talking about using Bitcoin, then each country has its own laws and rules.  But I think that the prohibition of Bitcoin in any case is not justified.

Bitcoin cannot be banned because there would be a lot of supporters that will oppose the banning. I like when people does not want bitcoin it just give us the means to fight what is right for bitcoin.

I'm sorry but I'll disagree

If they consider illegal to transaction BTC or to buy/sell, you can send or receive some P2P transactions, but would you risk being arrested to buy/sell in your country?
The exchanges need to inform government about their business

As I said, you'll continue to use P2P but you'll never change for cash again

Bitcoin can actually be banned and those dealing in it prosecuted by law. Except you already own bitcoin and carry out all your transactions peer to peer but if you use an exchanged, government can flag your bank account when you receive or transfer funds.

For many people, bitcoin has become a symbol of freedom. States may try to ban bitcoin. But the state does not control bitcoin. And people will find ways to circumvent these prohibitions.

The fact here is that banning bitcoin use is possible but stopping the use is impossible. Sounds similarly but truly different as practically, the use can only be discouraged but can hardly be stopped
I agree with you. Why is it impossible to ban bitcoin? Government can say that this currency isn't safe for them and they have to ban it, this proposal and everything is done. But there are a lot of things banned, there are a lot of things illegal, there are jails for them but did it prevent anything? No, it just reduced number of customers and made it even harder for governments to stop. So if they ban bitcoin, it still will be available anyway but with difficult and more time consuming ways.

Strongly agree with what you say, that the use of bitcoin is difficult to emphasize, indeed because of developments in technology that have been unavoidable.
even though it is possible in some developing countries it is still considered illegal, but development will not be able to stop at a time.
In some cases that banning is lifted for they know that it gives benefits to the people and making money from this. Bitcoin has a role in the community and people appreciated it the same thing that authorities realize it and there is no reason why we should have lock it down.
