Is this what Satoshi had envisioned?

The answer is "no."

You are uninformed.  Do some research.

Uh... care to explain why? This is just an ad hominem attack, meaning it is pointless.

Satoshi envisioned bitcoin to be money used by all. While this clearly turned out not to be the case (Dogecoin is closer to reaching this goal), BCH will put even more power in the hands of the wealthy.

But the debate is over now. BCH lost. Sorry another one of your bitcoin spinoff pumps failed. How much money did you lose this time?

OK, so the bitcoin blockchain currently stands at over 140 GB in size. This already makes it extremely hard for the average user to run their own node.

Granted BCH blocks aren't very big right now (because nobody is using it for anything except speculation), but let's just say people actually _do_ send it back and forth to each other and eventually begin using it for things other than speculation. How long will it take the BCH blockchain to surpass that of BTC's in size? 2, 3 years tops?

This means that only the extremely wealthy or with access to top-notch computers will be able to run full BCH nodes, putting BCH squarely in the palms of the 1%.

Is this what Satoshi had envisioned?

The answer is "no."

So please, for the love of all that is decent, please, I beg you, STOP pretending they are the same thing when clearly they are not.

I mean, BCH stole BTC's logo, but the similarities end there.

The cults of BCH have been here in the forum lurking around and simply posting about Bitcoin Cash that it was the real bitcoin and not the bitcoin founded by satoshi, what a bunch of dorks. Roll Eyes

But i is the real BTC, BTC should have been the one that changed it's name not the other way around. you need to read more, you got brainwashed by the media inspired propaganda from a few determined individuals to deceive the community and fork there own coin using the original BTC name. And they got away with it too.

You have some valid points raised there, mate. I am still on the side of Bitcoin. But I am trying to look at the situation objectively. Because as I see it now, Bitcoin Cash has gained the momentum already and some additional trust. I think the future is going to be exciting. Bitcoin Cash is offering very little transaction fee as compared to Bitcoin. The confirmation time is much quicker also as compared to Bitcoin transactions.

bitcoin = BTC
Bitcoin Cash = BCH

THAT'S THE DIFFERENCE, YA DINGUS!

Bitcoin is bitcoin while Bitcoin Cash is simply another altcoin that is trying to cash in on the good name of bitcoin.

Let's stop trying to pretend they're the same thing. Its an absolute travesty that whoever runs bitcoin.com would publish an article stupid enough trying to say they are the same thing, when they most clearly ARE NOT.

Here's a couple other reasons:

Was Bitcoin Cash founded by Satoshi Nakamoto? NO.
Do _any_ merchants that you can think of off the top of your head actually accept BCH? NO.
Will merchants be more likely to accept BCH in the future, now that they've just barely wrapped their heads around the concept of bitcoin and begun to integrate payment acceptance mechanisms for it? NO!

This is by far the biggest and most sinister pump job of an altcoin I've ever seen. If you're gonna make your own coin, at least come up with your own damn name! BCH reeks of unoriginality and is greed at its worst. This kind of behavior is what turns off the general public from wanting to get involved in crypto in the first place.

Critics what say ye? I'm all ears.

Sorry mate, I read your post and I read no solid argument whatsoever to demonstrate that BCC is a bad coin that has no future.
No mention of block size, no mention of speed of transactions, no mention of fee. Your post is just air.
Please try again.
Thanks.

It´s just stating the obvious, but we have to consider something that was wisely expressed by some specialist at the time of the fork. The strength of the bitcoin reside in his network, but also might be his weakness. As we see, the moment that bitcoin did not want to advance in what is becoming its bottleneck the size of the block bitcoin Cash soared, the reason is simple, the crypto world needs fast transactions and the small block size only benefit a few number of miners that become greedier when the price increases and they choose only the most profitable transactions over the smaller fees. BCash with a bigger block can accommodate a much higher number of transactions and can become more attractive to miners then when a lot of miners may start to transfer their power of mining to Bcash and increase its strength. True prophecy, let´s see how long bitcoin will insist on not evolving.

I agree with you! BCH is merely just using their name to gain recognition in the community. For those of us who have been around a while, we can see through it. It's an altcoin and we know it!

Bitcoin Cash will never be Bitcoin because of a ticker symbol?    That's your best argument?

When Bitcoin Cash has the most accumulated work, I think it will be the only real bitcoin in every sense.

LOL! why dont you take 2 seconds to read and actually stay informed bitmain currently ONLY takes BCH lol, so not only a vendor that takes it but takes it OVER BTC

". Only BCH(Bitcoin Cash) payment method is accepted in this batch, please use the exact amount mentioned in your order and complete the payment within one hour. After one hour, the order will expire and your payment may not be detected by the system automatically. Payment must be in BCH. We cannot accept payment in BTC. If you send BTC to the BCH wallet the coins may be lost. If the payment is submitted but the receipt is delayed, we will make your payment "Valid" manually. "

BCH is simply the biggest, most well-funded altcoin pump ever. If you buy into it, you're simply loading the pockets of the already tremendously rich.

Again, please, somebody name ONE vendor who currently accepts Bitcoin Cash? Just one? Anybody? Bueller? Bueller?

Guess what the logo for BCH looks like? I'll give you a hint: its the EXACT same logo as BTC!

RipoffCoin is by far a more honest attempt at making a novel cryptocurrency than BCH.

I agree with your opinion. Bitcoin Cahs is nothing like Bitcoin, only thing that they have in common is Bitcoin. From my poin of view that is just ripoff of name, and try go get fame on Bitcoin. Probably most of new people that come into cryptocurrency are confused, and don't know what is the difference between them. I guess that same is happening now with Bitcoin Gold. That also I don't support. There is only one Bitcoin.

The irony is that the PO is a newbie. I guess the opposite is true as well. Do you think he got the account just to bash Bitcoin cash? I am always fascinated by how people who bash Bitcoin Cash are always posting about bitcoin cash.

Don't worry, I've been around, despite what it says under my name.

I'm mainly trying to promote a Crypto Resource Website (Coin Clarity) which I handle social media management for. I gotta say, its one of the best jobs I've ever had. They are one of the most altruistic bitcoin-related websites I've ever worked for, because their main emphasis is education and not moneymaking or "get rich quick" schemes.

Of course we all want to make money using crypto, or at least _save_ money by using crypto. But BCH is a thinly-veiled ploy to steal from the successes of bitcoin. If they truly thought they had such a great, novel idea, why did they have to incorporate the name of the #1 crypto into their own altcoin? They're simply trying to rip off the good name of bitcoin. It's not really a matter of opinion.

Absolutely right! BCH will never be BTC, and I'm glad! From day of its creation BCH has always been superior. faster transaction at a fraction of the price is just the beginning. Do you honestly think the future of crypto is going to a coffee shop and waiting 30 min and paying 8 $ in fees to  buy a coffee? BCH is better in every way, the only thing they lack is the brand. In time people will stop being stubborn and realize a quality coin is more important then what its called.  The only reason it angers you so much is cause they are superior in every way and you are fearful that you are backing the wrong horse.

Look at that BCH graph!!! So much better than anything we've ever seen!  Grin

 Cheesy

It always is odd to me the number of newbie posters that come out of nowhere to support BCH. It is as if they got an account just simply to support it.

The irony is that the PO is a newbie. I guess the opposite is true as well. Do you think he got the account just to bash Bitcoin cash? I am always fascinated by how people who bash Bitcoin Cash are always posting about bitcoin cash.

logically, BCH is present to upgrade the btc that has exceeded the transaction limit. Bitcoin Cash has raised the block size limit to 8 MB. Transaction capacity sufficient for transactions globally.

Transaction costs are lower and network confirmation is faster and more stable. This is certainly a positive impact for all users Bitcoin, so it will be more comfortable doing business other digital currency.

so, BCH will remain BCH, coin born from the result of network development.

Bitcoin cash existed from the main chain and even if the chain becomes more valuable it might gain the market capital if majority of the exchanges switch to bitcoin cash. Same won't happen anymore as the bitcoin main chain keeps growing with large acceptance from large scale firms.
