I dont think bitcoin has power nowadays since it isnt recognize by government but it does really give impact on some businesses and payment systems. Bitcoin is still on its earliest stage and we could able to see the potential thing that would made on upcoming future.
Bitcoin has become a new power in the world of money as we all know that all sides deal with it so it has to survive until it become the powerful source of life . So what it is difference between bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies? and why Bitcoin has become powerful among other currencies and cryptocurrencies ?
Firstly ,let us define bitcoin by defining cryptocurrency briefly then pass to make a contrasts between Bitcoin ,Dogecoin and litecoin .
We hear always that bitcoin is the money of the future .this expectation can be taken seriousely when we see bitcoin nowadays and how much transactions executed per day which is surprising . we can say that bitcoin is a cryptocurrency and cryptocurrency is a money which is not traditional rather it is digital or numerical which works electronically ; the most common cryptocurrencies are Bitcoin , Dogecoin and litecoin and bitcoin has something special in contrast to others and this specialty is represented by the number of transcations made per day and its volume, so bitcoin and litecoin and dogecoin differ in their volumes which will interpret to us that bitcoin has power nowadays.
In fact bitcoin is increasing exponentially in volume and numbers of transactions which will get us to the hell of thinking that bitcoin may take the lead of other cryptocurrencies if we don't say that it will take the lead of traditional currencies.because it has power which can fortify its presence in today world.

I think the main reason why Bitcoin is the most successful cryptocurrency is because it is the first. It has a big advantage since it is recognized worldwide. For another coin to become more popular, it needs to separate itself from the flood of other coins that have come after Bitcoin.

I do not think bitcoin suddenly got power in recent days. Bitcoin has its own potential and we do not found that much adoption in past years. However, you have found many adoption in these last 6 months in online stores and business people such Apple, Dell and Amazon via purse.io.

Like who? I might not be that active when it comes to TV shows but I browse the internet a lot and I haven't found famous people preaching bitcoins around. I don't think the media even talked about it except for some social media pages that gives out posts about bitcoin. Most of the posts are negative, though, because of the popularity of bitcoin being used in the dark Net.I don't think "everyone" thinks that bitcoin is the best investment right now since not everyone knows about bitcoin. Mostly just people that stays on the internet for a couple of hours every single day knows about bitcoin.
I have not seen famous people using Bitcoins too, but I agree the volatility of Bitcoin makes many people have interest in buying it to start making profit. BTC is powerful now because it offers new opportunities to earn money on the internet, partially anonymously. Some people use it to practive illegal things, anothers use BTCs to have a higher quality life.
I particularly never saw before something so good to earn money online. It's totally different from anything from the past, like the PTC sites, Ponzi schemes and another unprofitable things. Who doesn't know about BTCs yet is losing time and money.

Bitcoin is slowly gaining adopters around the world and it is difficult to know the exact number of those that use bitcoin but we are nowhere near of having half the population of the world as users of bitcoin at best we are 1.5 million.Bitcoin has power now a days because it stronger than before and it even more stable than before. Bitcoins not the first one to be invented . If I remember it correctly, I think its bit-gold and b-money, They both use hashcash as their pow algo which is now used for bitcoin mining.
So the reason is not because it is first invented but because it is the first who stood out or become successful rather . But the path that it takes before getting here is no easy cause the price fluctuates greatly
