You have said it all, it's superior because its the first and still the best cryptocurency out there. It control other altcoin. Its the father of blockchain, other are just trying to compete but it far a ahead of them interms of everything.
Because Bitcoin is first coin in this market so It introduced to us about blockchain and these stuffs. Also a lot of people used to bitcoin for some reasons in the world like in China, Venezuela.
Bitcoin managed to become a side currency in a lot of countries with economic crisis like Venezuela, a lot of people try to hold their money in crypto, so their earnings don't devaluate over time.
I think it's just because it was the first one, if ETH had been the first coin, it would be taking its place and maybe the market would be less speculative, we will never know, but we can trust that ETH and bitcoin are excellent currencies in their own environment and each one performs quite well, so any investment in either will be quite rewarding.

It is mainly due to the fact that bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency that was put in the market, it has had a lot of time to grow and evolve along with the demands of the investor. Given that and the fact that bitcoin has the highest number of investors which makes sure that the coin always has value, it will always be superior to all of the other coins.
