Now almost 80% of bounty campaigns and ICO require KYC verification. If you want to make money, you have to pass it. Here everyone makes his choice.
you are right, now almost all of the campaigns that require KYC verification from the participants. there are some who have delivered from the beginning, some have just delivered when the distribution is taking place. this is actually not a problem, I think many bounty hunters here now understand and are aware of the need for KYC verification.

It's just that sometimes the procedure of the KYC  announced at the end of the company and a bounty hunters wasn't counting on it. Also, sometimes the amount of remuneration is very small and they do not consider it necessary because of this to send their personal data to such a project. But in fact, this is a pretty good way to deal with bots and multi accounts. So I think that in this procedure there is nothing terrible.

Your personal information can be sold on the darkweb to criminals so it is no wonder that people are hesitant to do KYC.  Even if you trust the service you are using their database can still be breached and the information stolen.  Identity fraud can ruin your life and can it can be a real pain to undo all the damage it causes.

why do you say bounty hunters hate KYC? I never hate KYC and I think it's normal to know the identity of the campaign participants and it's not a scary thing because I'm sure each team will store our data safely.

Bounty hunters are also people who wants privacy just as how it was long time ago, KYC were never required. I happen to send my ID to a team but got tons of emails after it, surprisingly those emails knew completely my whole name and where my address is. But its also true that bounty hunters are using alts to collect more tokens, they'd be busted when it happen.

What i know,  KYC means Know Your Customer ! Bounty hunters are there to Support ICO Project to spread the word about the project .. BUT as soon as the Project manager mention KYC then many  Hunter run away  ! Why? Is it  because  people  don't want review their identity  for security  reason  or people  are joining campaign  with bot software ..
Why would I want to do kyc for bounty? Even some exchange will allow you to sign in and do some level of trade with out kyc and that even involve cash so why would I now want to do kyc on me helping you to promote your project and you giving me what I work for. Kyc is a serious issue, you are practically giving out all personal information and this days people are not to be trusted, they can do anything with your information.

I don’t like KYC either, so I’m avoiding it in projects that I don’t trust. To participate in the Huobi Russia bounty, I also need to be verified, but this is a branch of a very secure exchange, so I don’t worry that my data will be used.

I would say KYC is a good thing to take out scammers from the system. Haters are mostly those people who joined campaigns with fake details or with multiple accounts and they know very well they can't provide the details of its every Ac that's why they hate on the other hand very fewer bounty hunters do not want to share his/her identity they want to remain anonymous.

Do you want to submit your personal basic information to unknown project and uncertain security reason? Do you want to  exchange your identity for just unreasonable value and unregulated ICO?
I wish every one is honest to maintain others personal information secure because if it is counterfeit the person identity is vulnerable to use.
I'm not saying all projects who ask KYC are the same but just few are reliable.
We all know scam is rampant even the identity of well know crypto person used in scam scheme.

it's simple, they don't want to sell their identity,if many big companies can't get their customer private identity from being leaked or hacked? why the bounty hunter must trust the newer company to do so?

This is why the bounty hunters hate the KYC because we consider that KYC is only for the customers, bounty hunters are not the customers, they are part of the team to promote and develop the community about the projects. But, if there must be a KYC, just fulfill it in order to get the right rewards.

The motive of some ICOs collecting bounty hunters identities is suspicious at times revealing your identity to them might result in those fraudulent ICOs using people stolen identities in form of KYC to perpetuate crime that is why its not advisable to give out one's identity to a faceless organizations in the name of bounty hunting.

In my opinion, one of the reasons bounty hunters hate KYC is because they don't want their real identities to be known by other people they don't know.

Honest bounty hunters care about KYC because they are afraid of identity theft.
And those who are cheating (multi-accounters) are afraid that they will not receive all "earned" tokens.

I suppose bounty hunters don't like to pass KYC since many devs do not warn us about this in advance, besides, confidential and personal data can be used for other purposes, including illegal purposes.
