basically anything... with the exception of firearms, pornography and the likes.
The main investor got cold feet so now I am continuing the project out of my own pocket, if all goes to plan. The site will have full escrow, plus users will have full control of their own private key, which should reduce the hacks and hopefully inspire confidence in the site.

So you want to make a new SR?

I run a small time site and am in the process of setting up a large market that will accept Bitcoin. I thought it was time to register as I will be hiring a coder or two and pentesting experts before the site is released to the masses.
What are you intending to sell? Any details?

Don't forget that making your own coin is a good way to get your friends to understand what mining is and how everything works without feeling like they are blowing their life savings

I came to this site because most links on google for stuff I was searching for took me here.  Might as well stick with the best right?  I mostly mine LTC and FTC at this time as they are the two I have traded easily for btc.

Cheers!

I really like the idea where these currencies are going, hope they take over fiat someday!

I doubt, you always need something physical if internet/electricity goes down.
Bitcoin future is only as internet payment system

Nope there is such thing as cold wallets You can put bitcoins on wallets that aren't on the internet and trade them by hand

A lot of my friends are talking about bitcoin lately.

Also I start seeing more and more news about bitcoins and alternate cryptocurrencies.

I really like the idea where these currencies are going, hope they take over fiat someday!

I've been on BitcoinTalk before, more of just a lurker. Main Premise of coming to BitcoinTalk would be to join in with the community. I have Bitcoin, and have what I believe to be some knowledge within it. Hopefully, I can help others with my current knowledge and learn more from others.

Came here because the google searches I was doing for crypto related questions I had kept pointing here . So good job on the SEO and happy to become part of the community.

LIttle bit about me,

I have been trading futures and "real" currencies for 5 years now. This space has a lot of room for "edge" since it is relatively new. Big currency traders had haydays back in the 80's when it was still new to the general public. SO here I am looking to eek out a piece of the pie, mining small time with two 7870's and hopefully trading btc or ltc if i can find a good working exchange with relatively good spreads , fees ect. Might take a little while longer till that is in place???

Regards
z

I joined to get latest information about Bitcoins here and it works.
The only thing I dont understand is why some feel the need to discuss Altcoins in other sections than Alternate Cryptocurrencies, or their home forums... This is BitcoinTalk forum, see the url in your browser

Bitcointalk is where altcoins were born lol

True, without Bitcointalk there would be no altcoins, but outside Bitcointalk these altcoins doesnt exist as well. The only problem is the altcoins spam some sections, making it harder to read Bitcoin related news

They just need to expand the altcoin section the only reason the altcoin section even exists is because so many altcoins were being made so now that there are so many people coming to altcoin I bet they will think of a solution to this new problem

I registered because I wanted to have some way of getting support for Middlecoin's pool.  Since Cryptsy is taking a dump right now I've supposedly got .01+ unpaid BTC from just over a day of mining with a 7870.  Hope that's not an error, but the way the unexchanged BTC graph has been shooting up has me worried.
