Why is it that the moment BTC starts to sway, the other coins follow suit. It would be hard for everyone to sell that much at the same time. It seems beyond just panic selling. They seemed to be directly linked. Inf-fact, BTC going down should increase and encourage altoins as they raise in value compared to BTC as it falls so why this uniform sell off? Something seems weird about that to me. Any real theories, or explanations?

that is what's going on and what I've additionally observed to date, the ascent and fall of bitcoin took after by different altcoins, why that can happen, while when bitcoin has diminished in value, it's another altcoin chance to raise its cost and to demonstrate that altcoin it has the potential and its own particular objective to have the capacity to raise the cost and influence individuals to will be intrigued can put resources into it.

As according to my point of view the reason behind to follow the BTC by altcoins is that the BTC is the first cryptocurrency which comes into the existence.
And the holders have more trust on it as compared to the Altcoins and BTC is the market holder it has the power to fluctuates the market.
Bitcoin is actually the back bone of crypto market and it makes a perception in the market which his not just limited to a single cryptocurrency but to all the crypto market. When we see improvement is the market of single currency we have a good perception about the crypto market and that is why success of any cryptocurrency generally is a growth for the market.

when bitcoin rises then altcoin prices will also rise but when bitcoin prices fall, altcoin will also decrease as altcoin does not have the courage to do very much increase while rising bitcoin prices and i think altcoin many follow bitcoin price movements because altcoin price exchange depends on the bitcoin price
that's what's happening and what I've also seen to date, the rise and fall of bitcoin followed by other altcoins, why that can happen, whereas when bitcoin has decreased in price, it's another altcoin opportunity to raise its price and to prove that altcoin it has the potential and its own goal to be able to raise the price and make people will be interested can invest in it.

Bitcoin is like an indicator of overall market health, and when it goes wheter it be up, or down - it means that market in general is feelig like that, and so all the prices are following it.

This is because all altcoin prices are based on their Bitcoin exchange rate, not their USD exchange rate. They don't always move together though. Sometimes you see Bitcoin drop when the altcoins rise.

I think there is no reason for altcoin to follow bitcoin, although bitcoin is a leader and can be considered as a generation before altcoin but bitcoin and altcoin are always independent and they can work independently.

Another reason is that we compare bitcoin prices and altcoin prices in terms of dollars. So if bitcoin goes up, we see altcoin chart prices also rises, but in reality the satoshi value of altcoin may decline or remain the same but we see upwards charts because it is compared in terms of dollars.

Basically everything in crypto is paired with Bitcoin. The analogy earlier that crypto is like a tree where Bitcoin is the trunk, Ethereum and other top 9 coins are like the branches, then the rest of the alts are twigs and leaves is very appropriate.
If the tree trunk is not healthy, the entire tree is not healthy.

Just watch the volume on BTC chart and you'll know where the market is heading.
Actually alts move with movement of bitcoins. If bitcoin goes up, the prices of alts also go up and in case of vise versa, both bitcoins and altcoins prices are down. If bitcoin moves very fast up, then also alts move down because people shift their money from alts into bitcoins to enjoy the bitcoin ride.

In my opinion, altcoins rise in line with bitcoin because once the trading altcoins mostly depends on bitcoin trade too. The day traders I believe use bitcoin or their altcoin trade and once the trade volume of bitcoin rises, those altcoins rise too.

why altcoin follows bitcoin, when the btc value goes down then automatically altcoin value also goes down, it all happens because actually bitcoin is the parent of altcoin, altcoin is created as an alternative for many people who want to invest, if child always follow parent then it is the same with bitcoin and altcoin

Might be people consider to sell the coins when the bitcoin price falls because that the whole crypto market is manipulated by whales, who holds the high amount of coins, they might sell the coins in bulk which causes the huge fall on the prices, i personally feels that as bitcoins is the first coin, all the other altcoins follow the same trend.
I can't tell why we saying this that altcoin follows the value of bitcon. Well of course maybe bitcoin is the root of all altcoins price reduction is somewhat can be found in high
Intensive price correction and let's see and site what other information can be derived in a world of currency.  But in myself I couldn't exprain it briefly

Many people curious about altcoins that their price status will likely follows on what price status of bitcoin, that when bitcoin price growing up, altcoins price also will growing up as what bitcoin doing, maybe it is only a normal reality system of cryptocurrency that sometimes it has a synchronize of prices movement.

Bitcoins price movement generally affects altcoin prices, the relationship is not always predictable,  bitcoin is the center of the crypto economy and many ways and with btc trading pairs on every exchange, the gravity of bitcoin is hard to escape.

Crypto in my Blood

This question also is mine. But if we see the exchange then we will most of the altcoin trading by BTC. so if there have a value in BTC when you are trading another time when you are trading same value in BTC but if you see in USD then you could see different value in USD according to BTC vs USD value. One more easy answer as my opinion, No one Cottage can't go without Engine and so imagine that altcoin is Cottage and the Bitcoin is Engine.  Wink Wink

Personally i also do not understand why all crypto now move going up and down by the same times. Just like the price controlled by one group. A few years ago actually price action of each crypto is much different,  but now they move bullish and bearish at the same times.
You can see that when bitcoin prices fluctuate and adjust altcoin prices are adjusted accordingly, only a small fluctuation of bitcoin prices also cause the price of altcoin greatly reduced. Therefore, when trading altcoin we always have to observe and monitor bitcoin prices to be able to handle in time and avoid damage.

of course they follow bitcoin because bitcoin is the king of cryptocurrency and bitcoin has a potential in future that's why they want to follow the steps of bitcoin for their success also.
It's not about of being top coins in the market but the reason is that,  altcoins are still depending on bitcoin's market trend. Everything will be change when bitcoins market volume change,  thus all prices may varies on the current bitcoin price. We are just hoping that someday altcoins will become an independent and could have a stabilize trend.

Altcoins follow bitcoin most likely because of the behavioral factor of people. I think this is the main reason.
