In my country, during the World Cup or major football competition, many establishments create conditions for watching matches with whole companies. Placing huge plasma screens and allocating additional space contributes to a comfortable time spent with friends.
You just flashed my memories back to late 90s and early 2000 when I was growing up,  usually during the world cup and nations cup events as called then, we used to see this kind of atmosphere when my country team were doing so well in football competitions compared to their performance today, especially during our match with Argentina ,it usually attract a lot of viewers to come.

watching ftotball in public places such as beer shops or watching together does have many advantages, although it is actually not as exciting as what we see in the stadium live, a crowded atmosphere can make the viewing experience more fun and thrilling, in addition,  we being able to share moments with fellow fans and feel together while supporting your favorite team is a very valuable thing for a football fans,  but watching alone at home also has its own advantages, because you can focus more on the game without distractions and if you have a television with good picture quality of course the more real viewing experience can be very satisfying to our eyes, watching live or at home of course gives us its own satisfaction.
Watching football is so much fun when you are watching it with friends and strangers alike, it bonds people together during the match and it is an exciting atmosphere when discussing the match as it's ongoing. People form temporary alliances with other people that they don't even know that supports the same team, it's very interesting. I have a TV in my home but if I want to watch a crucial match I will call some friends to know where they want to watch the match, sometimes a friend can also call me. We either meet up where we'll have some drinks and enjoy the match or we can watch it together in one of the friend's house, it's so much enjoyable that way. Although there are times when you will feel like watching football alone in your house, but if it's a finals, I wouldn't watch it alone.

gambling and sports are enterteinments designed for the masses and not for people that are spending time at home.
I think it's something "natural" choose to have these activities on group (or at least with some friends). I think that people trying to get a profit must always use software/tools that requires a bit of relax and calm...
If I have a bet that can be traded/cashed out I can't spend my time just "wacthing" the event.

It feels boring to watch football alone, the excitement will be very limited but still I would rather watch the game with my son or wife instead, I don't like watching football with people even though this is the best way to be entertained, but the safety part is lacking, I've seen fight burst out of football centres and it got very ugly, the kind of stuff you won't like, for safety reasons I prefer to watch the match in my home with family.

Although some people don't like to watch football alone, that's why they usually go out to viewing centers where they can watch and argue with other football lovers too. From my observation, a large percentage of people who watch football at viewing centers doesn't have a subscription for the channels that will allow them view the match in their house. It's possible that they have television in their homes but they don't have subscription.
If subscription is the only problem as to why most go to viewing centres to watch football, then I think all the viewing centres will be less populated on match days compared to the way they usually are.

Even if someone doesn't have a subscription to their TV, they also have smartphones that don't always lack data; they can stream it online, and if the television they have at home is a smart TV, they can connect their mobile phone to the TV for a wider screen.

Let's also say subscription is the problem. If you calculate the cost some people spend on just watching football, you will know that renewing their subscription is nothing compared to that, as some buy drinks, carry friends around, and pay for transportation just to visit their favourite viewing centre.

I know it will be difficult for you to believe but although it depends on the country your are based, but I know that in my place, if you go to watch football in a viewing centre, you are only required to pay not more than $0.4 to $0.6 or you purchase a bottle of beer which could be less than a dollar. Which you want to do a one month DSTV subscription for all the football channels, the charge is about $20 which a high percentage of people you see in viewing centers can not risk that huge amount for subscription.

They prefer to pay $0.4 to watch a match than pay a $20 one month subscription for their TV.

Yes, many of them have smart phones to stream the match online but I still want you to understand that a very large popular of football lovers doesn't like to watch football on a tiny screen, they prefer a big screen like TV or monitor. Secondly, some of them have tried streaming platforms but they probably don't know the right one because about 80% of platforms that claims to host live match all sucks.

Another thing to consider is the stability of power supply, some of them doesn't usually enjoy steady power supply, therefore they go to a viewing center where they will not have issues with power supply. Some of them you see there don't also want disturbance and distractions from their siblings or family at home.

Quote
I will say there is more fun they derive from watching with others compared to when they are home alone, while some people use that as an excuse to leave home.

No doubt but believe it or leave it, many people you see there are there because of the issues I have stated in my first comment and also the few point I also outlined above.

So which one do you prefer,

Watching football alone or watching in a beer parlor/view center?

There is no peace or joy in watching a football game alone, the most joy is hidden in the screams of people entering the gallery and the shouts of the players. This pleasure can only be experienced by entering the gallery, although the TV cannot see everything inside, only what is in the camera's focus.
But in reality if you get into the colors you can experience everything, which is why I think football games are usually the only most enjoyable way to actually go to the gallery. Although we have to watch the Premier Leagues on TV screens because we can never leave our country, there is more joy in watching them in real life than watching them on television.

Glory To Ukraine! Glory to the heroes!
Aside going to the stadium to watch life matches, I have seen this often happen, including me going outside to watch football games, whereas they have television set and subscription intact, yet they prefer going outside to watch football matches.

Here is my reason, for some games I don't normally enjoy watching it alone, especially when it comes to final games, Champions League, El Clásico and any clash of rival teams. Secondly, I used to enjoy that shout … Goal.....by viewers and supporters watching that comes immediately when a goal has been scored, so to me, it's boring watching football matches alone.

So which one do you prefer,

Watching football alone or watching in a beer parlor/view center?

It depends on the players, some like to watch the match in the company of fans who react very violently to every event in the game, and some like to watch the match alone at home, in front of a big screen and for them it is enough. Each of the methods contains a certain atmosphere and I am more inclined to the second option. Sometimes I can even watch the match from a smartphone if the circumstances require it.

So it's natural. A person has a desire to be involved, to be in some kind of community. In this case, a community of the same fans united by a common interest. Common interests are a powerful incentive for socialization. Well, attributes such as communication, a sense of community, just fun, etc. are invariably added to this.

I would want to be with people who have the same team as me. Imagine you are within the people that you want to be with, I think that's already a win for itself, don't you think? It's not that common near my place, but there are a lot of people who would be in that place, and I would just follow them and have fun. It's also fun while you're semi-drunk. It makes it more fun, IMO.

I personally prefer watching at a beer bar or a live match arena, where I think watching with friends or relatives is more fun than watching at home, where it feels more like when a goal is scored, there will be screams that can come out freely, which is different from watching at home.

Watching football matches alone will not be comparable to the emotions when you are rooting together. Spending time in a company with the same interests further unites male friendships and complements the beauty of football.

At first I thought about the fun involved, the shout, quarreling but personally I don’t enjoy when fans quarrel over their favorite team making the hall noisy and unpleasant for viewers. Sometimes you have no option rather just laugh throughout the whole issue, for example today match between Manchester United and Chelsea knowing fully well they both have a large fan base I see no valid point visiting a viewing center besides I watched the match alone and I had fun because the match was so tough. Exactly what op said when the match is boring the viewing center can cheer up things a little especially when watching fans shout and sing while their favorite team play.

Most fans will choose to watch the match in public places where they will interact with old friends and even make new ones. But others might choose to stay at home because of some reasons. Recently we heard about a fan killing another fan in a public place. Some fans are fanatics and could become violent. So to avoid such individuals it will be better to watch games alone. Other areas experience high criminal activities, police arrests, and racism. Criminals use these mediums to attack fans especially when the match ends late at night. In some areas, corrupt police officers use the opportunity to exploit innocent citizens by placing false allegations on them. I wouldn't be free to be in a public place where I might be a subject or victim of a racist attack.

Watching football alone or watching in a beer parlor/view center?

Alone or watching together is fine for me, but the sensation of being in the middle of a crowd definitely has its plus points, especially if we place small bets to make it more lively. If it's a big match like the Final, I prefer watching together, just imagine the people in the stadium enjoying every second with lots of fans, so at least we want to enjoy t he match in the middle of a crowd but on a smaller scale.

It all depends on the personality of the player. If they are introverts and extroverts. Some like to sit alone and meditate, thinking about something of their own, watching the match on the Internet. Some definitely need company. But in general, it is always better to watch important games, such as playoff games, in company. You know, it is a separate entertainment - to watch the emotions of other people. Especially those people who are not particularly emotional in everyday life. And if these people bet on a match, their emotions often increase many times over. It is always interesting to watch this. I would even say more: sometimes I think what is more entertainment - to watch the players or the emotions of the fans.

This is based on some of my personal experiences, so I will express it according to my experience why I prefer to watch at a pub / cafe / view corner.
1. Why not in the stadium?
- Because it will cost more money to buy tickets
- because the distance between the house and the stadium is very far and I have to work the next day, it is not possible to take leave and others

2. Why not at home?
- Not fun, because I am the only one watching, no friends to chat with or friends to shout
- Can't shout loudly when there is a certain moment to express feelings. Just imagine I have to close my mouth as hard as possible when a goal is scored, because if I shout, my little children will immediately wake up, and that's the end of my watching.
- I also can't turn up the sound on my TV, so, like only with a volume below 5 is allowed.

That's why, being in the pub / café / watching center, will be much more fun and free to express all feelings and get more talks to others. moreover if that is with 1 similar club supporter.
Its does have its pros and cons but in thinking overall that expenses would be there if you do really want to have more fun or having that ambiance specially on hearing out real or live crowd noises on which this is something that will really be giving out that kind of chill and making out that kind of entertainment on which it cant be bought by money, but if you are someone whose really that having the money and searching out for some entertainment then this would really be your least consideration and would really be spending up some funds depending into your interest and preference.
Cant really be denied that watching in together with your friends or other bettors or even going into the event or stadium itself is really that giving out that entertainment that you cant be able to get
when you are just simply seeing the game in the front of your computer.

If you are planning to watch it live then you do need to spend and thats understandable, if you are saving up and going practical since results would really be just that the same then you would really be that sticking
into watching online or having that choosing on being practical and spending your money in something else on which it isnt really that bad either.

It's nice to be in a bar to watch sports.

Why? Company. Everyone there understands you. You escape home where you cannot watch freely and shout your lungs out. The beers are a bonus. Also, if this becomes a traditional thing to a person or it becomes a habit that one usually goes to a place where many supporters are, I think it will be stuck for a long time until you make friends who are on the same POV as you.
Sports can definitely bring people together and I think it's a good thing. It reminds us that it is done for peace and being a sport win or lose.
