such scenario i believe won't happen in our lifetime, or we won't see it in this aspect of life of human beings. the magic of gambling is different when the gambler himself is already too attached to this activity. the truth is, the population of gamblers who are into this habit who have the goal of winning is very large as compared to those responsible/occasional gamblers.

this is why a lot of gamblers are becoming degens who are wasting their lives on this addictive activity. lucky for us, who can still think straight and know the boundaries. but for most, not only themselves are having troubles but their immediate family as well.


so is Chikito an addict?    that question, he is the only one who can answer.

but chasing losses is already a normal response of most gamblers. as long as you know your max limit, you can say, you can contain your gambling habits.

I agree with you, they gamble continuously even though they always lose because their thoughts encourage them to continue carrying out this impulsive action, and before that I think they have won, and the previous victory they got made them believe they could win. again in the future. also those who continue to gamble even though they always lose because there are many things that motivate them.

That's right, those who are addicted to gambling are unlikely to think about stopping gambling, what is on their mind may just be wanting to recover their losses or wanting to chase a big win. That way they will feel satisfied with what they get, but sometimes when they get a big win they still don't feel satisfied and they still continue gambling, which is very risky.
also by the factor of how close we are to the gambling it may be. because maybe if someone is not too close to gambling they can still restrain themselves from gambling.

Because there's more to gambling than just "winning and earning lots of money". Especially for those like me who gamble responsibly and for entertainment only, we only ever gamble because the fun factor doesn't come from the money that you could potentially get from the ordeal but from the experience itself. When you gamble and start your journey from a place of lacking (you wishing you would win more prizes), you fixate on stuff and when you can't get it, frustration ensues. Us responsible gamblers have let go of any attachments (just like buddha lol) and managed to just get and squeeze as much fun as possible in every game that we play regardless if we win the game or not.

I think every gambler, even those who are really good at what they do, should take a few things out of what we know and do. We already have a massive surplus of people who have gone on the deep end after becoming addicted to gambling. I think it's due time that we finally turn the world upside down and actually usher in a new generation of gamblers that are competent and smart enough to figure out their limits and capacities.

Gambling is something when you continue to bet and maybe you experience lost or you gain, and sometimes anyone who have gambled before will continue to gamble since it has made a profit or win some certain time, do you know that what keeps or makes people to be addicted in gambling is due to they want to win more money and that is why anyone who is gambler will strictly gamble to win and it will not have any remorse in gambling, so therefore it's obvious that anyone that have gambling at heart will not hesitate to gamble even though it doesnt have money it will ensure that has use his last money to deposit.

You are the worst friend honestly. Instead of cheering them up while slowly giving them advice to minimize gambling for the meantime as they are losing, do you think they are stupid? To the question of where these people get money in gambling, it's none of our business anymore unless it's part of your concerned persons.

They keep doing this as they are driven by thinking that they will soon be lucky and win the jackpot prize. This usually happens to lotteries, even a year without winning, we still see these people keep on buying tickets. I don't say it was a stupid decision but that is a wrong idea. However, as long as that person never complains about his losses, it is okay. Besides, this is gambling, a person who is caught in addiction will never think about stopping but rather about the chance of their losses and the aim of winning big.

The fact that we all have differences in gambling approaches, the more we have different views and perceptions as well. If we can see this is not a good idea, some people have also a good reason for doing this.

Gambling control is required the very moment a person wants to venture into the niche, as it could be too late when he begins to feel he's getting addicted. The way addiction works, it's not easily noted by the gambler. He'd think whatever is his actions are still on a good behavior. that you would really be having that kind of urge or feeling that you would really be needing to cope up those losses and you would be having that kind of mindset that might in next roll or bet

Consistent in trying to win back loses is a good reason for continuous set back in gambling. It is anger of losing that makes a player to switch game but believe it there are lucky days and bad days, so if I feel unlucky on a day then I better back out from it and wait for another day that I will be lucky instead of chasing back loses.

There are two sets of people that will keep on gambling even if they don't win. The first set are people that gamble for fun, even if they don't win frequently, they don't care since they are getting the fun they need from it and they are gambling responsibly. The second set are the once that are addicted to gambling, they will never stop gambling because they believe if they don't give up, they are going to hit a jackpot. They are the once that are desperate to make money from gambling. People like that think if they stop gambling, they won't be winning back all the money they have lost, but if they don't give up, a day will come that will be their lucky day.

What if they don't have much knowledge about sports betting? People do gamble more at the game that they know better. You will find it difficult for people just to jump into gambling. Things might even get worse if they change the kind of game that they are betting on.

To be honest, I believe gambling addiction is far more dangerous than drug addiction. A drug addict can be healed with medicine and proper care, they can take anti-drug supplements and prevent the urge through that, but you can barely find an anti-gambling thing when you are completely addicted to it. It might not be visible physically when you get addicted to gambling unlike drug addicts, but it keeps eating you from the inside, starting from your brain and mind.

That's what I often encounter in our place, where many people are addicted to slot gambling but they still deposit even though they don't have a job, but they only work odd jobs and are not permanent workers so they get only to play slots for instant benefits even though it is very unlikely unless they are lucky.

Op let me start from your first paragraph. A friend of yours told you about his gambling losses and you're saying here the story was stupid? Wow! You can't solve a problem for you friend because he was expecting you to tell him a word of encouragement and also guide him how he will not loss again and that probably tell him to stop gambling so that he will not loss the money which is meant to do another thing. But instead you insulted him, he would not tell you anything another time again. He discussed that with you to find a lasting solution but you turn it down.

And those young guys that plays gamble with job always get money for gambling even though they don't have money for other things. They get money from daily work at building sites, from friends and from begging. And they use it to gamble.

Because even after losing, the day of enjoyment and happiness might probably come once the moment they waited for long surprised them. The losses they are suffering mean it's still not their time. How they will be able to grab those crazy winnings if they do not touch gambling?

As a casual gambler, I'm also hoping for a big win someday in gambling. Right now, more losses compared to winning but not giving up.


For me, experiencing the winning side is more encouraging gamblers not to stop gambling hoping for another shot at that big win.

I agree that sharing will help people to easily let go their painful experiences but it’s different on gambling especially if he is just sharing losses without any plan on stopping it because he probably enjoying the gambling even with losses that makes sharing of story is not a healing process to stop gambling but rather just to simply share the fun he experienced.

Besides, losses is normal in gambling because of its house edge. The experience of gambling is what being paid and count.

Let them share their regrets, this may be his healing process so that he can easily move on from his mistakes. Some people do like sharing their experiences and I think it's a good way to make yourself feel better. I always try to be honest with my partner so that I have someone to share all my regrets and I think your friend is just doing the same. If you think what he is doing is stupid then I doubt you are a real friend to him. If that is what happened to me I will invite that friend of mine for a drink so he can complete his story over beers and some good food.

This is because those set of gamblers think that gambling can give them profit and they will get carried away with their gambling activities because their goal have not been achieved which is to win big.  They forget to know that luck plays a major role in gambling and they think it is your mindset of winning that will bring the win.

This is why all gamblers are always thinking positive that they will win their next game, and it only takes a discipline gambler to know when he should stop playing in other to limit his loss, because gamblers like it or not, we must always lose more than we win.

Who won't be lured and tempted to those shared gambling-related banners showing huge multipliers, huge winnings, and related images associated with big winnings? Every gambler always wants to desire winning big or even hope for a good life-changing reward through playing gambling. They won't continue to spend money in gambling if there's no expected big reward waiting.

They lose mostly at the time but there's no other way to win those big wins unless you gamble in actual. They believed that someday, their big luck would come to them. The only question is, when will that luck come that brings a big reward? Too much money is continously losing while they are waiting on that moment
