Mostly because they are deranged and very stupid, why would anyone kill in the name of religion in the first place, Religions are supposed to bring people together with harmony and peace and if your religions says that it is okay to people then you should really evaluate why you belong to the said religion in the first place.

Why do people kill ever? Because they are insane in the head, thats why. Now whether that is temporary insane or full time insane is determined by the courts. For instance killing people for religion seems inherently wrong

and I would argue they are full time insane. Whereas if you kill because your daughter got violently raped then I would say that is temporary insane and in my eyes is a valid reason to take out frustration. I am not

advocating anybody do any such thing, I am saying that these are the ways I view it.

We are all witness of recent events, war, killings, and terrorism claiming they are doing it for their god. What do you think of this belief?
I do not agree with your opinion, I do not think there is a religion that teaches people to kill other people of different faiths, religion teaches all the goodness of life and affection to fellow human beings.
what happens today is one of the defenses of a religious people in which they must defend their beliefs that have been despised or abused by a particular person or group that does not want peace of the world because the easiest way to pit one group with another and to create war is to blow out religious issues.

It's not a religion worth being involved in. Why would a someone ask another person to kill someone just because they do not align to their beliefs. That's twisted, in my opinion. Religion teaches us how to love humanity despite it being evil. Religion will never ask you to kill another life. It's a practice of extremists and no should ever claim a life of another human.

Yes, religion is aimed at that a person develops spiritually and does not harm others. In the opposite case it will be some kind of wrong religion that leads to numerous murders.

I think people kill people for religion, because it will ease their sense of guilt.

As long as, you say I was ordered to kill someone by God, you do not have to see killing as your own guilt.
You have a great excuse to justify your act, it is "GOD".

So, I think GOD is something human made to ease for governing.
I am sure that not only Islam but also in Jewish, Christians, Buddhist, and many religions have their own extremists.

People are forced to kill not by religion, but by other people who manipulate them in the wake of this religion! So religion does not matter. People in the slavery case are killed by people!

Nobody kills for religion.

People kill in the name of religion, spurred on by their own ideologies, misconstruing the truth, to suit their self agenda.

Like all weak minded people, they are easily manipulated by a mix of scripture, and suggestion.

People kill for religion because they fight for the god. They showed their love for their religion and to respect their selves. I think this is the reason why they kill people and also they have to follwo beliefs and tradition that whatever different people do bad things for them, they will make bad things too. In addition, they killed people for their religion to protect their religion.

For me it was always amazing. If you are not comfortable with this world, people, you can go into the woods, mountains and live an ascetic. Kill people you dislike, because you think they are bad, unworthy, dirty - the highest stupidity. Especially when it is covered up with some special religious canons. Everyone has the right to life, and no one has the right to take it away from you.

Totally ridiculous, absurd and hilarious.  Actually they are just using their religion to validate their bad intentions.  They are quoting quotes from their scripture about legal killing which actually a non-sense.  They are just a bunch of lunatics and will kill to satisfy themselves.
I'm thinking the same thing too. They are just using their "beliefs and religions" to execute their real intentions which is to kill people. They said that what they are doing is right because it is from their God. But the question is what kind of God wanting to kill many people.

Which religion do you refer?
Religion basically teaches good things, to shape people's morale. To limit lust, respect others, etc...
Those who commit crime, insult, slander, even killing others are the one who uses religion as the shield. They keep their misinterpretation about the doctrine and try to influence and persuade others to have the mind like them. So, religion is not bad, the few people who use it to commit crime are the guilty one.

#peace

i am referring to the ISIS and those terrorist in Philippines,Maute, who claiming that what they do is for Allah. They killed christians, those who are not Islam and those cannot pray an Islam prayer they shot them in the head just like that.

Some are nut jobs who have been raised by their fathers to believe the radical/violent form of Islam, some are just pissed at the US for the collateral damage we've caused over the last decade+ (especially with the stories of the US writing off casualties to get a high valued target), and some are people from all across the continent who just want an excuse to be a murderer.

I am one member of Catholicism who have been changed me a lot.But what iam asking to myself is why catholic schools are all have rich kids pupils?they are not inserting poor kids to have enroll for their school.Because poor people are not capable to enroll?Because they can not afford the price or the miscellaneous.

Where I live, there are a few Christian schools. The schools serve multiple purposes for the Christian churches. First, they are able to brainwash the Hindu kids with Christian ideology and convert them to Christianity. Secondly, the schools will provide employment to a lot of Christians (these institutions only employ Christians). And third, the schools sometimes conduct fund rising campaigns for various Christian causes, and most of the money comes from the Hindu students.
