Thank you! As you can see I have studied already. No quote for the OP in this post !!!  Even I think that sometime sthe quote for the OP or previous post is necessary to understand better what the author want to tell. Wink

For example if I want to answer to a post previous the last one that is posted.

You know what grinds my gears?

When someone quotes a huge OP. Or any OP for that matter. There is no need for it.
Maybe someone can help me understand? As far as I know, its a waste of space.

I'm an old member of this forum and have a high rank on it. I made to many posts and read to many others. In some of them (like here) I have read these two words: "OP". Here I see that there is a entire thread destined to these words. Can someone please explain me what is an OP?

Sorry for my ignorance.

Thanks!

Original Post or Original Poster, normally the former. See #4: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=op

Example: The above is the original post of this thread, but please refrain from quoting it.  Roll Eyes

Tomorrow, they'll be a pop-quiz on this forum. MAKE SURE YOU STUDY FOR THE EXAM!

I think they wanted to increase their words count because of signature campaign and I think this should move to Meta.

I can't understand this part?

Hmm,
Who told you that sig campaigns pay more for more words  Huh Roll Eyes

---Snip--

People quote OP because they want to respond to him.
you can always snip the quoted words like i did to save the space and help forum to be Lite.

I think they wanted to increase their words count because of signature campaign and I think this should move to Meta.

There can be issue but i dont think signature campaign count the quoted words if any campaign do let me know...

Quoting is not mere waste it is required to inform when you answering or questioning two people in a single post as i did.
