Bitcoiners are tech geeks, or at least a lot of them are. So geeks like to try out different software and that translates to trying out different wallets. Plus it's always a good idea to spread your money around, since it can get hacked.  I don't use many, and none of them are online wallets.

People want to ensure their security and due to that they are doing this, overall it is a good thing to do but its not something you can easily do.
You also need a list with all these wallets, and that is maybe a risk because if people gets this list you are also in danger.
You are right about that, people want to have more security and they are thinking that its bad too have it all on one wallet.
I agree with them because if you get hacked not everything get than stolen.

Yeah the security itself makes a person to use a lot of bitcoin wallets. But I'm also thinking that they are just using a lot of bitcoin wallets because of curiosity.

They want to compare different bitcoin wallets because there are a lot of it in the market. Coinbase, blockchain, xapo and many more.

Out of curiosity they wanted to try all of it.

* for curiosity you only try the wallets once not use them always.

** for security you only need two, one cold storage and one hot wallet for spending those coins.

*** anything else is extra effort in my opinion.

I was going to use only one wallet but now after reading many posts I change my mind and thinking to use many wallets is much better and safer for every user because its give some better security to user

Even though bitcoin is already anonymous but many are just thinking that they are going to be safer if they are going to use a lot of bitcoin wallets. Since it is free many can just create a lot of bitcoin wallets as they can. But most of the bitcoin wallets doesn't have bitcoins and it tends that it is just making the population of bitcoin grow.

One reason why they are using a lot of btc wallets is that they don't want to be traced. so using just one per transaction is a good practice.
Hard drive wallets by the way give users a pool of btc address for receiving coins.

In my opinion its just the wish of the user, the one whose Interface is attractive gets the user.
No one can force someone to use one wallet.

people may be using different bitcoin wallet because of security measure, people may have a lot of bitcoins that they want to keep them in different wallets so that to minimize the risk to hacking and stealing all the assets.

It's not difficult at all. From your client you can operatie plenty of Bitcoin addresses that you can use for different purposes. No hassle at all. It will be a hassle when you use one wallet file per Bitcoin address. You will then have to wait for the client to scan the blockchain each time you switch from wallet files.

I have just two wallets. is it much? but i use it pretty strange, payments from the campign I am in go to one wallet and after i save some amount there I send it to another wallet and from there I cash out my bitcoins, because on that second wallet the % that I pay for tranzaction is smaller than on another wallet. I think peaople have some wallets because of they don't feel safe. And it is wise. Wallets became a scam or someone hacking it. You can't feel relax with no one of it. So better to hold some part of coins in one, some in other and ect. to be relax and not tear hairs from your head in the case if one wallet fail.

I am convinced that the best option would be to have two purses. One on pc, and the second on her smartphone.

Isn't the idea is to use one wallet, but use it to generate multiple addresses? One desktop wallet is needed with several addresses, and one web wallet for micro transactions such as Xapos since it doesn't have fees.

I think people who are holding higher of coins will surely go for different wallets and will never prefer to keep them at single place as if something goes and if they loose then they will loose everything.
