ICO = Initial Coin Offering is the best way to earn a lot. Because in ICO times the price of Token has so low. If you buy some token on ICO times. So easily you can make a good profit on it. But, some of the ICO is a scam. So you have to find out good ICO and then you can invest on it. Otherwise, you will make a huge loss. So, ICO has advantages and disadvantage too.
Since you said that during initial coin offer the price of token is very low,that wont be the case with all the projects,i have seen many projects in the past well going past their ICO price and tanking at the bottom,so what you have to understand is that only the best projects will have those luxuries ,take for example the recently concluded SONM.

I guess some people invest a lot into the ICO because maybe they have a great chance to be the best in the trading market, with competition involving a team of reliable and professional plans and planned then you benefit but are not able to withstand the money fast. so of course we can plan on a good investment

It is similar reason why people do beloved in Bitcoin and ICO that thing is development. People do believe that having new project is also taking new thing for improvement and progress so if you are going to take risk and support ICO on having a new altcoin in the market you could have its devilment at it most because you can experience how it will start on just merely a project to be a successful ICO in the future.

Most of the ICO are over hyped and only few ICO have potential to grow significantly. Initially when any token will be listed on trading platform there will be huge drop in price and it can even go below ICO price because of weak hands and bounty hunters dumping their holdings. But true investors should wait for more than 6 months to cashout nice profit out of their ICO investments.
The real answer is to expect a great return on the initial investment. I know many are a scam, but some have great potential to become awesome companies in the future!

Profit is reason. All investors who invest in ICOs hope will earn a lot of money because price of ICOs wonted is very cheap

There may have been a couple of decent ICO's early on, but now everyone realized they have an unregulated way to raise immense sums of money simply by making promises.
Contributing to those is just asking to lose your money - if the DEVs are made rich before they even start coding, they have no incentive to complete the project even in the best of circumstances.

I am tired of ICO scam now, and I will not join in any ICO project since I do not want to face high risks. Recently, I am interested in some Dpos projects.
Get some money but mostly I lose some money 
You can earn as much money as you can, and you should keep it in a safe place so that the money is not lost due to being taken by someone who is not responsible.

Before anything else, before investing in an ICO there should be some scrutinizing made. That's very basic. If after careful scrutiny is done and you are finally convinced that the token is going to hit it big after ICO, then investing in an ICO is a great decision. Take time to study the token's actual use aside from being introduced to exchange platforms. The great thing about ICOs is that there are always huge bonuses and discounts.

Its all about money sir. Some investors are saying that they are joining ICO just to support a project but the reason is they want to participate to have profit. Many investors are taking the risk even alot of scams do exist.
If i like a project and if i see a good potential i dont invest all of the money in ico.
I invest half of my money in ico time, and i keep second half for the time it is listed.

The reason why i invest in ICOs because there are chance to getting large, fast profit from ICOs, especially the projects that has real funtion in life and many people who use it on daily life, it will gives maximal profit for the investors because the projects has real products where the peoples can feels, knowing about the products be builded and it is not just an ideas.
It is a positive side, for me if the project is only attracting investors but not applicable in life, then surely the project just wants to develop its altcoin to achieve the best profit. I think the application in life from the ICO project is absolutely impossible
