Market will never sleeps because as long as the money exist and continue circulating global there will be no stoping of market operation.
In my opinion, the phrase "market will never sleeps" is due to the kind of assets it is dealing with. Since the market is dealing with cryptocurrencies which is very volatile, the market is expected to have a constant rise and fall of its market cap.
the market is often referred to as that because many markets enter from various countries visiting the place of exchange that will trade so that the place of exchange will not be able to sleep, the market will sleep for a while when there is maintenance.
people have computers or smart phones they can use all day, so you can buy and sell bitcoin or altcoin at any time of the day, just this I believe that with this facility that technology offers us has no reason to establish an opening time and a closing time for market. I may be wrong but even countries like Japan that have regulated bitcoin have not imposed opening time and closing time for crypto market
Every day there are exchanges taking place in the crypto market. So when the market is moving it means it will never sleep.
I have seen that certain people said that market will never sleep. As I know, like usual market at NASDAQ or NYE Stock Market they usually open their market at 9.30 a.m. to 4 p.m. So why does it call market never sleep? I am curious. I am new to this kind of thing
Bitcoin trading and crypto trading was 24 hours moving, due to it is international trading online industry where all people in the entire world can do trade at anytime they want it to play. Aside from that not all country's are the same day or evening. Like for example when I do the trade in the exchange platform was always night while in the place of nation is not.

It is a completely insane and it's coming a huge pump like last year ... the market always make a pattern that at the end of the year takes a huge volatility which is great because of that you can get a lot of money but of course you have to be awake the 24 hours of the day so ... the market never sleeps hahaha

there are always people who trade at the exchange place. and I think that might happen because the market always has trade users from several countries so that many people in the world will access the place of exchange and finally the volume at the place of exchange always moves and never sleeps
Also since the introduction of leverage trading, even many people wants the bitcoin to go low as they have place short orders. So people are earning in all the ways through the movement of bitcoin prices in either direction. Financial markets will never sleep because transactions and travels are carried out continuously between countries and at different times. You are currently sleeping in your own country but elsewhere you are working and so the market is still active.
The point here is that no matter how low the bitcoin and altcoin prices go, the trading keep going on and people keep taking profit from upward and downward movements of the coins. 
Market will never sleep because every each day, hour, and minute there will always be a transaction and we cannot stop this one. We have different time in our world. Market is the one who gives us money or the growth of economy. It always on the run and never be out of access that is why it was quoted as market will never sleep.

Well people around the world are trading so many tokens at anytime at any moment the market will never be sleep but ofcourse if there is a maintenance it will be. Market is crowded by so many people who trades tokens and coins everytime

And like you mentioned, there is no such thing as market closing for the day as you do have with stocks and bonds or other tightly regulated securities. The cryptoarket never sleeps. Also cryptos are constantly being used in different ecosystems and there are easily swapped even without the use of exchaneges

The saying market will never sleep has to do with the fact that buying and selling never ends. It is happening regardless of what time of the day it is. While you are tired of trading or sleeping, people all over the world are actively trading so the market never sleeps.
I think the current market condition is often said the market will never sleep I think that is because this market must be responsive and must stay online because there are many people from various countries and have different times to trade there so the market must stay online.
