I think some are doing short trade in btc and it is cause of dump because some weak hands are also selling. But dont worry because i smell bull run in a few days or weeks we just be patient and hold strong remember at the end of the dark tunnel there is a light.

I think the reason why the price are down strongly is because of price manipulation by the big whales and the fact that investors are selling their coin rather than holding thereby reducing the demand for the coin.
More like it's awesome and will continue to be at $2k or even less it's a wild speculative investment, most of the get rich quickers that brought us to 20k may be gone and there's nothing wrong accepting that given its current use cases a lower price might be more accurate to reflect it's value and that there's nothing wrong with selling and adjusting your exposure in an obvious bear market.

Not just this two giants mostly all Crypto-Currencies are down and slump. But the good news is the Bitcoin is showing some resistance on $6000 dollars level while Ethereum is the worst performing out of two I think? and if my prediction is right Ethereum will reach $230 dollars in the coming days if there is NO positive news coming in dumping will continue and its not good for Ethereum.

I think the price of bitcoin and altcoins will rise in the end of the year like last year the bitcoin and ethereum is suddenly rise in the month of december.
Some negative news make the market down. Beside that, some people escape from the market. They lose their faith. Sharks use the downtrend to buy more then wait. Everything has its circle: up and down.
I think not the only Bitcoin or Ethereum will be devalued. As I learned in the past few days, the value of most of the Altcoin coins has tended to fall. I do not understand why the market value is so much reduced? I hope that, in the last months of 2018, the value of bitcoin will change more positively.
i fail to see any one reason for these dips except a necessary correction, keeping in mind the sudden interest and furor that crypto created end of last year.
The market of crypto-currency fell due to negative news. If you do not notice the market in most cases is very susceptible to all sorts of news and so it has always been.
Looking at how rapidly the crypto market falls, I doubt that this is the fault of the news. I think there are many different reasons. News can not affect the market so much. It is necessary to wait a bit and the crypto market will grow again.

Many people have said that this is due to large correction but up until now the price has went down with a large margin. This implies that this is not just correction but also a market crisis.
It seems to me that someone specially manipulates the price to make a big purchase. The cost of coins can not fall constantly and greed instinct will work when they realize that their favorite coin have is very small price and they may not have time to buy it at a good price. And then the rest will take the initiative and start a big growth.

You can try to open one of the crypto news site and then try to read their article and you can find a lot of crypto news sites were spreading FUD news regarding crypto and that makes the down trend for bitcoin and this will be automatically give a lot of impact to the another altcoin too because they are all selling their altcoin for bitcoin instantly. 
some people think it's caused by ETF news and I myself don't know the news yet,but usually when crypto receives bad news the price will fall quickly and I'm sure prices will rise again when there is good news,I will wait for prices to reach the lowest point to buy because that is the best opportunity for investment.
Every bad news always makes crypto prices drop. I also don't know the cause of the current decline and hope this won't be long. Hope the price will rise again and recover.
