Agree, besides getting profit from listing fees, exchangers get new customers. A good new project will attract many investors and this will increase the transaction volume on the exchanger. Exchangers in organizing IEO will certainly very careful because it concerns their reputation in the cryptocurrency market, if the project is bad, their reputation will be affected

I think the exchanges are interested in IEO because there are two main reasons:

launch IEO in exchanges platform will give them many benefits.besides listing fee , it could make demand to their native token rise extremely.people will buy their token in order to participate in IEO.and its proven , look at bnc coin or other exchanges coin price.
This hysteria can certainly provide many benefits for the exchange concerned. Investors are increasingly interested in the IEO system because the ICO system has begun to be abandoned, many of which use it as a fraud. While IEO gives great confidence to investors that the tokens/coins already exist in the market. The more investors join the more users of the exchange, mutual symbiosis.
ICO's came, remained successful for some time and then lost their credibility, IEO's came, remained unsuccessful all the time and now they are also gone.
