You're unusually slow today? Outside the universe, it was something made up of cause without internal effect. It caused the universe, as an experiment, to see what effect was like.

Your logic is broken. Causality doesn't work like you're describing, it's a physical concept. You're generalizing the concept, and then not checking the generalization (because you can't). That's just not scientific, whatever you may think.

From what we know, there was just no time as a concept at the start of the universe, so there's no point in trying to talk about causality as we understand it.

Also, you talk about "outside the universe" but that's anti-scientific crap: the universe is the concept of everything from the scientific perspective, so if there was something "outside" the universe, it wouldn't be out but part of the universe.

Anyway, of course you won't understand anything of what I'm saying. It's in your religious interest to reach your preconceived "truth", your archaic belief about a zombie jesus etc.

The exact same things could be said for you and what you believe. The only part that doesn't work for what you believe, is that things in the universe don't happen without causes. So, what is the cause of the universe?

Before the universe existed, whatever there was, caused it. Since cause and effect are universe qualities, we don't have a clue about C&E affecting anything outside the universe, before the universe existed.

The order and organization in the universe shows that whatever caused the universe, had the ability to plan and design. Of course, because such planning and designing ability isn't like planning and designing ability within the universe, we don't know the depths of what that planning was like, and what the Planner was/is like... at least not without being told.

So we see that anyone who thinks that God doesn't exist is tossing out the evidence, and the scientific evidence.

Cool
re:  So, what is the cause of the universe

We don't know.  There was no time so how can you have a cause?

Of course, you can use many other explanations to determine if it even wanted a "why?".

God is loving. You don't have to be so scared of Him that you try to wish Him out of existence like that.

You're like a child that doesn't know yet that santa claus and the three wise men are your parents. You believe in god, but that's just another absurd belief. So I don't need to wish anyone out here, you are wishing god actually existed. You talk to yourself and think you're talking to god. You believe there's something after death and when you get there you'll just get worms into your skull honestly.  You better take full advantage of this life and stop the bullshit because from what we actually know there ain't any other life afterwards.

As you can see, BAD is bad at logic. There's no logic on religion, but he can't see it because he's got his blinders on, which he thinks are sunglasses.

Religion is about faith, not science. It's about belief, not logic. That's why BADecker fails at logic, he's a believer.

That's exactly why much of science is religion. It ignores the logic of God's existence, and tries to make itself and others believe it has the answers.

Being aware of the existence of God, and all the things He has said to us in His Word, the Bible, helps us to easily out-think any or all of those ignorant atheist jokers. That's why they can't even ask the questions that they want, or think well enough to speak the things that they want to speak meaningfully. And when they realize that they flubbed the things that they are saying, they get angry with godly people, and turn to violence. Of course, they only destroy themselves with their violence. After all, killing Christians only gives Christians a secure position in Heaven.

@af_newbie Nevermind BADecker, as you can see from his sunglasses he's just stoned, that's why he can't formulate a single coherent thought.

I did not ask him for Covid-19, did you?  Why did he give it to you?

Well of course you didn't ask Him. You don't believe He exists, right? So, how could you ask Him?

The thing is, He knew you wanted it, but in His love for you He didn't want to upset you by giving it to you, thereby proving to you that He existed... 'cause you don't really want that proof. So, He gave it to me, to pass on to you. Once you get it from me, He will protect me from it, and you will have what you want.

From your article:
“Many visit Redding weekly, hoping that God will touch them. I am happy to report that many leave well and whole,” Johnson writes. “But many others leave in the same condition in which they came. I refuse to blame God for this, as though He has a purpose in their disease. While Jesus did not heal everyone alive in His time, He did heal everyone who came to Him. His is the only standard worth following.”

From a science article:
Coronavirus just caused the American Physical Society to cancel its biggest meeting of the year.

So, what does this have to do with atheism? God does what He wants to do. If you don't like it, tough. He is giving you what you are asking for.

Now I know why baddie always includes the sunglasses emoticon. He's just blind to his religious bs, he's got the blinders on.

My sunglasses are formulated to filter out atheism stupidity. Not that I don't filter out such stupidity anyway, but the sunglasses make it easier.

No, thank you.
But I didn't offer you anything.

You offered your post to anybody in the world who wants to learn enough English so that he can get on the forum and read it.

I think that it is not so important whether a person is religious or not. There is too much deception and other negative manifestations of society in the world. Therefore, it is important to be yourself acting on the basis of good intentions.

When you look at a more complete definition of the word "religion," you will find that all people are religious in one way or another. They don't have to have a formal religion to have their personal, daily religion - https://www.dictionary.com/browse/religion?s=t.

This is one of the things that would make an atheist to be a religious person. A person who happens to be an atheist because he has never considered the idea of God, is probably the closest thing to a real atheists that their is. A formal atheist knows that he is attempting to be an atheist, because he knows that God might exist somewhere.

It's not that a formal atheist DOESN'T believe in atheism. It's that he doesn't believe it as strongly as somebody who never thought about it. And mostly, the formal atheist is one who attempts to hide all the evidences for God in nature, from himself, so that he can focus only on his atheism - atheism religion.

This makes atheism a far greater religion than the formal religions... because it's all about hiding reality from the atheist, right in his own thinking. At least the God-religions have faith in something that there is evidence for.
