After all these advancements humans made in physics over the last 100 years, it seems very hard for me to believe in a higher power such as God. The universe is so large with millions of stars with empty planets. If there was really a God, why create all this without life on it? Would it be much easier to create different life on all planets?
Modern physics is not yet completely developed, scientists keep finding new things every day so we can't actually say we are a planet with living things, there are some proofs exists for the existence of life in the near galaxies but it is millions of light years far so we don't actually have any technology to reach out there and validate. But why we need to believe God created all these things?

Because they are machines. Machines have makers. The maker of a machine as vast as the universe would have to be God.

^^^ Atheism is a wonderful religion, just like the religion of non-religion. Both can make you feel so good, by taking the responsibility for acknowledging the scary things about your life off your shoulders. Just like the ostrich.

When it comes to religion and politics I don’t really pay much attention. I consider religion and politics as topics that shouldn’t be discussed, it’s always cause controversy as everyone have their own opinion. It’s not offensive to tell us about your believe and to be honest I have learnt so much what you practice. I’m open for information and knowledge in all ramifications.

There have lots of criticism about these post but like I said I don’t find these offensive because it’s your believe. Wished I have some sMerit to give to these post because I’m very open to information and have grabbed a lot of real knowledge from these post about atheist.

The only virus that can be seen is a dead one... with an electron microscope... at least until 2011. Nobody has tracked a virus jumping from one person to another. The whole virus thing is full of assumptions that have been turned into a story that may or may not be true, but probably isn't.

Yet the medical has said that the story is absolutely true, even though they know there are many holes in it. The Microsphere Nanoscope is showing us what the truth is. What is the truth? That the whole world of what we know about viruses is way more complex that we can imagine, and that viruses probably don't act as we have thought in the past. There is evidence that viruses are merely exosomes doing their standard job without enough immediate intelligence to understand that some people will be hurt by the job they are doing.

If these are the kinds of advancements that you are talking about, where science plays games with us by assuming all kinds of things, you can have it.

Scientists, when they are broached with the question of how much we know compared with how much is out there to find, still say that we are only scratching the surface. Somebody placed all that technology into nature. And when you consider how advanced natural technology is, the Maker of it must be extremely advanced. The term "God" is about all we can say about Him because of our ignorance.

^^^ This is extremely difficult stuff to think about. Why? We see only cause and effect operating in everything. But we, also, seem to have free will. Does this mean that our free will is controlled by cause and effect, so that it is not really free will at all?

We know so little, because God says that we have free will, even though we don't really know where free will exists within us.

Cool

Not God. People say a lot of things.  No God has ever said anything.  People who claim they hear God are actually hallucinating.

You cannot even define God according to your dogma, God exists outside of spacetime and is therefore undefined unknown.

Ask him to post here. LOL.

Religious people are delusional.  Some are mentally retarded and/or mentally ill.

"God speaks through me, blah, blah...", "I feel him in my heart, blah, blah...", "He must exist because, just because...", "He must exist because the Bible is true", "The Bible is true because it says so in the Bible" etc.

Well, I believe we are all entitled to our own beliefs and judgements, I'm not a deeply religious person but then, here are the few things I believe in

* I believe every power or force has an Origin and that is the God with a capital 'G'
* I believe in living life before life lives you!
* I believe my conscience is the ultimate judge between good and evil
* I believe no one is so right or so wrong, so good or do evil. Being put in the same shoes as the condemned fellow under the same pressure, you might just commit the same thing
* I believe no one or race is superior to the other
* I believe all that exists does so in a delicate balance
* I believe we owe ourselves our well being and
* I believe every knowledge or information we posses at our disposal is gotten form somewhere, someone and somehow which could always be questionable.

For these I say this to everyone, live life, let your conscience be the judge and do the most good you can do because, it takes you to make the earth habitable for you and your neighbor. Hola.

^^^ But there was politics in all of it. I guess that means that politics is just another religion or part thereof.

The topic is nice but to avoid controversy I believe two topics that should not be discussed is politics and religion because every one have their own opinion.

Religion and politics go together. Why? Religion often drives people to have moral and virtuous lives. Don’t have to be religious to lead a moral life, but how did free countries like the US originate — judeo Christian values.

Usually, I simple ignore all comments like yours, since they are irrelevant. But I'm going to open an exception.

According to your "loving" god, I won't be destroyed in hell rather I will "burn" there alive for all eternity (Matthew 25:41; Jude 1:7; Mark 9:43; of course, especially on this issue there are many different

I’m not surprise you got such porous reply that’s made you reacts these way, you should have prepared yourself mentally for such arguments and by so doing you won’t be offended by one ones opinion. To me I would say you have done no harm or offense in telling us about your believe but don’t expect nothing less than criticism from certain people because like a always tell people two topics that shouldn’t be discussed is Politics and Religion because everyone have their own opinion.

I’m not sure where best these post should belong for more views

Anybody who makes it to Hell, it's because God gave them what they asked for. He gave his life through Jesus to keep people out of Hell. What more can He do, but grant them their wish?

All you are doing is talking politically and/or religiously about discussing politics and religion. Grin

This is what the truly religious people are doing... destroying themselves. People don't have to be religious to look at nature and see that God exists by understanding the complexity. People have to be religious to push the reality of God out of their mind and believe the religion atheism.

When people push themselves into believing atheism, they are destroying themselves. How? They are pushing God out of their lives... God, the God of nature, the One who is maintaining the structure of nature... nature, which is keeping atheists alive.

It would be nice to see the religious atheists jump out of their atheism religion into reality. But if they want, let them keep on in their religion, and destroy themselves.

Cool

Lookup equivocation fallacy.

Loads of words in many languages fit equivocation. It's part of the reason why law stuff uses Latin. Latin, being a dead language, cannot be changed to have other meanings. Such is an attempt to get away from ambiguity.

People are religious beings. Why? Because they don't really know any of the future at all. They know that even in little things, they have made mistakes about what is going to happen... like investors, all the time. And everybody knows that people who died in car accidents and airplane crashes would has stayed home if they had known what would happen to them if they traveled that day.

Part of the reason why people have atheism as their religion is, they think that if there is a God, He is going to take their freedom away with His laws. They don't realize that God is giving them freedom with His laws, because the whole universe works according to laws... at every level. God knows the laws because He made them, but people don't. So, out of love He tells them, to keep them from harm.

Why do you always want to focus on such a tiny meaning of a word? Is it that you truly want death?

If there is a quota on deaths, I hope religious people are used first.  Smiley

What kind of miserable life would you have to have to wish death upon an entire group of people because they don't believe what you believe?  How truly sad.  I feel sorry for you Vod.
Who is "religious", but those who are truly religious, are not afraid of death because they are waiting for eternal life

The 'truly religious' people would do us all a favor if they would just kill themselves and join their 'God'.

Why wait here on our miserable planet when you can join your 'God' in heaven right away?

Because it doesn't work like that. Almost all religions have a certain rules by which you need to life by. These rules determine if you are a good or bad person and only the good people will go to heaven. Killing yourself is a sin and you will not be able to go to heaven.

Outsource the killing part.  Problem solved.  You will be in heaven in a New York minute.
