Why in some countries Bitcoin is banned is the accepting of Bitcoin by websites and that are illegal .
When money is illegal, you have to wonder why.
Summary of reasons said so far:
- Transparency of spending funds is what makes the governments afraid
- Bitcoins have excellent privacy system, so no one can even trace your transactions
- because it is too anonym
- potentially being used by criminals and to buy illegal stuff
- It's used for crime, it's used for gambling, porn industries.
- Tax evasion
- They have concerns about bitcoin and probably its hard for them to understand how the cryptocurrency fits into existing system.
- Economic reasons
- We have power hungry, controlling governments & fiat banks that fear bitcoin.
- threat to a country's currency
- they want control
- It poses a threat to the currency issued by the government
- the countries that have explicitly done so also always seem to have very shitty, corrupted governments
It's up to you decide if each argument is true or not.
