Agreed, as an investor of Bitcoin we all know that Bitcoin is volatile and we cannot predict the value ahead, so as of now that the price is always flactuate, invest only an amount which you can afford to lose. And you wonder why other investor are still investing in Bitcoin while some loose it because this is the best time to buy a Bitcoin when price is low and hold then wait for the right time to sell when it is at peak.

they never lose anything as long as the coins remains on their wallets or exchanges because only the value whos changing but the volume of the coins never change until its being sold

Those investors that still investing even losing funds are the people who believes in this technology and they know that in future earning is what would come to them,so they are keep buying and holding untill the price goes enough on what they wanted it to be

For some investor's that had bought btc when it was at $20K price value, definitely if they will sell t now, off course they will surely loss great amount of money. However, people are not that dumb wherein they would sell in the situation where it is a bear market instead they should have to hold it still and perhaps wait until such time, bitcoin could already recover from it's great dip. I personally believe that bitcoin will recover in due time and as to when, I would have to speculate that bitcoin could make a bullish run in the last Q4 of 2018.

it depends on a lot of factors. an investor is not just waking up some day and decides to buy bitcoin and that day price doesn't happen to be at $20k! and it doesn't just fall down in an hour after he bought bitcoin!

an investor (a real one not a newbie throwing his money away) analysis the thing he is buying and when he sees the potential he invests his money. then depending on their strategy they act differently after they bought. some are short term investors trying to make some money in less than a day. they profit from swings. some are long term investors who see the potential and buy stuff to park their worthless money somewhere. for instance a long term investor has been buying bitcoin for over a year and has bitcoin ever since it was $900 and even if he bought above $10k they are still in profit and will be in a much bigger one in long term too. it is like saying those who bought when price was $2 and lost money when price dropped to below $1 are losers!!! no they have bought bitcoin at $2 and now it is ridiculously higher than that price even if it dropped more than half.

People who are still holding despite losing more than half of what they initially invested are those who already written off that investment. And besides, they only loss on paper. They haven’t really lost it unless they decide to sell.

Every investment have that risk. Buy at high and selling at low price. Its happen all the time and can happen to everyone. We never know where market will make movement but what we can do is make analysis and sometimes our analysis not accurate

Market place is help to gather more information. So check the price day by day. Then get more information and ideas. If price will be down don't sell it. Wait some week. Next time it will be increase the price. So price will be increase sell on time don't hold it. Some time it will be down the price. So bitcoin price is not easy to guess. It any time to up and down. So safe to use.

yes, and it is a big mistake, haste to invest in bitcoin without analyzing any market movements will only make them dying, not dead.

so they have to wait longer until they get a profit, and this is why bitcoin still survives till day, as many investors are stuck with their high investment.

Investors don't invest in things which are overvalued and so before investing in any trading asset, they do proper analysis and afterward, they only buy at the right time at right price levels. They will only lose money if they are holding the trades which they have bought prior to $20,000 price levels otherwise they won't end in any kind of loss. Investors are investing here because Bitcoin is still holding that kind of big value here and I think people are really crazy about the bitcoin trading as it is having that kind of big potential to give you big returns.

losing money when investing is a common thing, because the risk when investing is it. but we also have to be careful "again in this matter.
