Hackers can access accounts on all websites if the account has a simple password or have low security. So that recent trading floor of Korea was hacked and steal a lot of tokens by hackers

The wallets that is storing the coins can be also hacked. Even if you have chosen a strong password you are still not safe. This has happened several times.

Is it really that hard to prevent hackers from hacking exchanges, wallets and God knows what other methods they use...
I mean how on earth is crypto supposed to flourish if it's so venerable to hackers?
Every month a huge hack happens and totally destroys the crypto image yet again.
At this rate, bitcoin will go to $1 as it gets hacked every day.
Is it possible to take simple precautions to protect against hackers?
For a so called "unhackable" wallet, private key ect, it seems to be a cake walk for any hacker.
Sorry for the rant, it's just irritating to see crypto slowly dying because of hacks.

I agree with your opinion, I think there must be some measure to combat hackers as today. Hope everyone will have a better solution. Let's pray together
The only solution to avoid hacking is keeping your wallet safe, we often trust people too much and we share our private key but this greedy world is not trust worthy so just keep yourself away from them, hold your bitcoin in your wallet and don’t share about your private key with anyone who ever ask you about it, so I think this way ratio of hacking can be decreased.

Why should this be news in the first place? Banks gets hacked, Hbo was hacked few weeks ago, and alot more hacks. Why should there be a fuss about crypto. It is part of the risk of the business, life itself is a risk. We just hope that there are more preventive measures against hacks in the future

i have proposed a while ago an easy way to repair the damage of hacks systematically, this works however only on plattform token

if for example a token is hacked at moment x

for that moment x there must be a database where it must be possible to check the wallet addresses at moment x and the corresponding amounts

then a new digital asset will be created, (only for token with a central management)

then the distribution of the new token will be done according to the moment x initially before the currency was hacked.

the old token will be publicly declared illegit and a dead ghost asset. the new digital asset becomes the true one.

alone the fact that this then could happen, would prevent large scale hacks

because bitcoin is a digital currency that has a very sophisticated technology that makes the hackers are curious and want to try to penetrate the security of cryptocurrency which can provide a lot of profits because it can steal assets owned by others and will not be traced to where the owner of the hacker wallet that.

Remember one thing, there is a difference between services that use bitcoins and the Bitcoin protocol being hacked. I can have some limited knowledge and then I decide to develop some website where people trade with Crypto currencies and this website might be full of exploits, because I do not know what I am doing. This is what is happening with some of these exchanges.

Some even buy White label exchange scripts to run their sites, without proper knowledge and experience to do this and these scripts might be full of backdoors.  Roll Eyes

yes it's true cryptocurrency has often been hurt by hackers and there should be a more intensive counterattack to hacker attacks not only prevent but there is a kind of crypto police that handles this.

First of all, if you are a hacker, you will definitely launch an attack. Due to huge profits. So I don't think this is caused by hackers. Perhaps this is a war between platforms. May be intentional. I think hackers can only steal data. Can't directly attack the platform.

Hacked such large companies as Facebook. Hackers have interest in crypto currency. But of course the exchangers would have to allocate more money for protection

Its very impossible to hack Bitcoin and cryptocurrency  rather people's wallet get hacked due to their own carelessness, having low security on their wallets or maybe also  clickiing on fishing sites that can get their details  hooked.Wallets get hacked not bitcoin or cryptocurrency.

Crypto is dying not because of hacks but due to constant restrictions imposed on it by governments.
Blockchain itself was born decentralized - it was the attempt of an Ego to escape all the conventions that were drawn up by the traditional financial system.
Yes, it's hard to prevent a massive hack attack, but we should distinguish the vulnerabilities of intermediary agents (exchanges, wallets, ...) and the invincibility of blockchain as it is.

Although bitcoin owners are often anonymous, the number of bitcoins currently stored in their wallets can easily be found through public search engines.

Crypto is always being hacked because it is a quick and easy way to make a large profit for hackers. Since hackers keep on getting better, I guess the only way would be to keep changing your security measures in order to be one step ahead of hackers. However, making these changes could also be risky.

I admit that they (hackers) are intelligent people. Because this is really beyond my thinking, even though we already have secure security, but they are more clever. So we must continue to improve the account security system, and we must remember that hackers are not just in the crypto world. Because my friend is also a victim of social media hackers.

Yes, you're right. So many bitcoins and altcoins accounts has been hacked and one of the reason is the carelessness of the people in sharing of personal information and other relevant information and the second reason is there are no stable and powerful securities that will protect our data and privacy. Maybe, those wallets has higher securities but it is not mean that you are safe. How about the third parties? Did you know or Do you know how they handle your data and shared it to others? So, the best securities for me comes to your own decision  Smiley Hope those hacked accounts has been recovered with no less and damage  Wink

I feel uncomfortable with the hack because it can destroy the value of the crypto.
There have been reports of a hacking exchange that was also hacked out of Myetherwallet last month. Just as we all know that bitcoin itself can not be easily decoded but it can be hacked through hacking site bitcoin digital wallet

Where is my ring of blades...
first of all bitcoin is NOT getting hacked. it is the wallets of the users/services which is getting hacked because of human error.

secondly the more something is being used the more reports like this you will hear. for example when vehicles were invented and the first car was built and when there were only a handful of them around the number of car accidents were non-existent! but today as billions of people use cars there is a lot of car accidents. that is the same with bitcoin usage. when there were only a couple of people using bitcoin when block 1 was mined there were no hacks. but now that millions of people are using bitcoin there are more wallet hack reports.
