Because it made someone a millionaire or have changed their lives in just a span of 15 years and I don't think that there's any investment out there that could've replicated the success of bitcoin and so it's really popular when it comes to the investing market, although I wouldn't say it's popular as we think popular is because it's not yet mainstream where every person that knows about bitcoin already has an idea what bitcoin is, not a lot of them knows a thing or two if you ask them, most of the people that makes bitcoin popular are the people that's on the Internet most of the time, scrolling through stuff that's rotting their brain and then they see bitcoin and other cryptocurrency related stuff.

Bitcoin have remained and will always be the best assets in the market, longterm holders can give out their testimonies about the project. Bitcoin longterm holders will definitely be the available ones to adhered to the differences and also doing the smart moves in the system. Bitcoin is promising and have been in existence over the past decades in the market. The project have survived the heavy bearish season and remained strong enough to adapts to the bullish season and make the long runs available.

Currently, people are showing more interest in digital assets than physical assets, especially if we talk about Bitcoin, then if there is an asset like investing in the world, then Bitcoin must be given first priority. Many are predicting that if the popularity of Bitcoin continues to grow day by day, people will consider investing in Bitcoin more than investing in gold. However, Bitcoin is currently worth more than $1.5 trillion in the capital market, but it is expected that after ten years, Bitcoin will exceed $5 trillion and may even surpass the gold investment.

I agree with what you said. Most people overestimate Bitcoin and think that it is the best investment asset of all that is on the market today, even though it also has disadvantages which make it still weaker compared to other investment instruments, especially gold. I just think that what's the point of comparing Bitcoin with other assets, when each has its own pros and cons - just let Bitcoin be Bitcoin, and other assets like that. Let's just use Bitcoin and empower it, without needing to compare it.

Investing in Bitcoin will give you more benefits than other investments, you can control your money as you invest in Bitcoin, and it will give you a much higher return on long term holding. You can make much more money from Bitcoin than other investments, just make sure you are a long-term holder. After investing in Bitcoin you make sure your coins are safe and hold for a long time. You can certainly achieve something good.

I don't agree with the comparison very much, because it mix too many factors which don't make sense. I think it would be fine to compare Bitcoin to fiat currency taking the scarcity and supply aspects into consideration, but when the author also puts stocks, real estate and gold investments on the samd basket it doesn't make any sense at all...

Gold also has limited supply, it's scarce and pretty rare to be found, so it's definitely a good alternative to store value. Real estate tends to get highly valuable on long run, doesn't being negatively impacted by fiat's devaluation, so it's also one of the best available investments alternatives so far. Stocks really depend, as it's a risky market, but it also tend to be an interesting option for investors in order to diversify funds.

The only bad option there is fiat currency, being totally discouraged to hold large portions of it without any goals in mind on what to do with this money aiming to maintain its value on long term. Personally, I would like to engage in stocks, real estate and continue dealing with BTC futurely. And gold, despite being a stable method to conserve value, isn't on my radar. But who knows, maybe I may change my mind later.

Different conditions will make users accept BTC for different purposes: payment, storage, investment, trading... Each person will find a value of BTC that suits their needs, but all those values exist based on the independent, decentralized and limited supply characteristics of BTC. Everyone can own and move BTC, that BTC will never be frozen by any government, and it is not easy to create more BTC in each block.

To add to this, Bitcoin is the simplest asset that any kind of person can invest in because it is divisible; even a poor person can invest in Bitcoin. Meanwhile,  to invest in real estate, one needs some significant amount of money, and one also needs some significant amount to invest in gold or stock. But with Bitcoin, someone can even buy as little as $1 worth of Bitcoin, but I am sure that no one can buy $1 of a real estate share, gold, or stock. Like you have said, people don't even need a long explanation as to why they must invest in Bitcoin. Anyone who doubts Bitcoin investment should just look at the price it started at in 2009 and the current price it has become. In a few years to come Bitcoin value will still increase more than what it is today.

All those things you mentioned so far those things basically is on the centralize, but I believe that why bitcoin is different from all of them it is because it is a decentralized digital currency, so I believe that Bitcoin it is a decentralized and nobody knows it documentation and the government cannot control it the way they control the list you mentioned above, the reason while more people are embracing bitcoin is because it can not be created but only because of its privacy, the privacy of bitcoin is what makes the people to embrace bitcoin and it's  adoption.

while bitcoin is exceptional is due to it can’t be controlled or regulate by government and among other digital currencies the privacy is higher than others privacy, the investment of Bitcoin may not give a profit a real estate may give because the price of bitcoin is unpredictable and the market can interchange at any given point in time, so that is while it's unique among others..but when you invest in bitcoin  for long-term and you purchase when the price is dip it's when you will be of benefit during the bullrun, so the profit hits like jackpot price and it's reason while it's unpredictable.


the reason while people adopt Bitcoin, is base on individual mentality, because I know very well that decentralization should be one of people invest on Bitcoin, because that decentralized bitcoin is today is what makes it to have a privacy, so the privacy of bitcoin will determine and it's height of profitable when you invest on it is what makes people to like bitcoin..shall different people have different reasons while them involve themselves into cryptocurrency investment mostly bitcoin.

I would still prefer to pay taxes with the cash in my wallet rather than using Bitcoin as a payment option. Even if the government legalizes it, I will still hold Bitcoin and give them fiat money. In times like these, facing the halving governments are paying attention to Bitcoin as a tool to increase revenue, perhaps they are seeing glimpses of it. And with the FOMOs all over the market, I believe new investors are still coming in the market so they can also take advantage while the market is still giving out opportunities to invest and enter the crypto market.

I must say now is not the right time to advise someone to go invest in bitcoin now that bitcoin is at the top level and you want to someone to invest, what if price falls below what they invested or if dip unimaginable what would be your fate after telling them to go invest in bitcoin. At first you should be able to tell them the risk involve before into choosing bitcoin as the best investment, usually during halving we always see drop in bitcoin price whereby making those who invested to nearly regret why holding that coin but after halving getting to the next year we often witness a huge increase in price.

What asset class can double or even triple it's price in just a span of 4 years? Gold can't do it, so does real estate or whatever assets out there. Only Bitcoin has done it that's why many are considering it "the best investment".

It might be the best investment, but it can be the worst investment as well especially when it enters the bear season where Bitcoin most of the time losses around 70% to even 80% of it's peak price which causes investors to lose huge amounts of money. You said "it's value surges", and it's true, but maybe share as well that it's price goes down. Anyway, we are in Bitcointalk and for sure many users here will agree with what you said.

In general and simply, Bitcoin's limits are very limited. And so the value of Bitcoin will easily rise very drastically in the cycle [such as halving being one of them. And this year too, there will be a halving which is definitely what will make Bitcin grow even higher this year.

but the problem is, many people think that Bitcoin is not real and cannot be held. That's why they don't believe in investing in things that don't even exist physically. And this kind of mindset often occurs. yeah, just fix it. The most important thing is that we enjoy what we do and also that we invest. I'm making my comment in response to the title, Re: Why is Bitcoin the best asset for investment currently? My emphasis is on the underlined. We can see Bitcoin as a lucrative investment now that things are looking up and it's majorly due to the recent events surrounding it.amd the expectation of halving in about 10 days today. Wait till the bear season sets in and you find Bitcoin unprofitable once again. ATM, Bitcoin is the darling of the people. On the other hand, I think what gives Bitcoin its value isn't that it's decentralized or because it has a limited supply pegged at 21million max. I think it's because of its committed and trusting community. Bitcoin has got massive support from its community; a community that was out to continually advertise it even when the public was doubtful of it, until it gained traction. That community is what has turned the beam on Bitcoin and its value to get others in.

The decentralized and limited supply nature of Bitcoin makes it so unique. Bitcoin being decentralized makes it very difficult to manipulate. If Bitcoin were a centralized currency, I don't think it would have survived long enough for the cryptocurrency industry to be as big as it is today and if it was a centralized currency, it would have a limited supply because the owners would want to make more money.

Despite all these unique features, the reason I'll take Bitcoin as the best investment is because of how easy it is to get and how you can get it with any little amount you have. You don't have to break the bank to own Bitcoin, and it's relatively easy to liquidate.

The place I bolded, you made it sound like it's an assurance. Just so you know, the price surge is as a result of speculation and not an assurance, don't get nuke and disappointed when you see halving happen tomorrow and Bitcoin price doesn't pump, because nothing is impossible with Bitcoin. However, history has made us believe that surge in price always occur because some how the miners need to be compensated for their security provided for Bitcoin but it's not guaranteed.


At the bolded again, Bitcoin halving is not about increasing the price of.the Bitcoin, is about halving the block reward miners get for every block they find and this happen continuesly every 4 years but it's believe that after halving, Bitcoin do find a new all time high and then settle down at a support and if bad events happens to the crypto markets, it doesn't mean that the price might not crash below previous supports. Just be calculative if you are not a long term holder of Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is indeed the best asset to acquire In the history of man. All the illustrations you've given is actually true expecially the limited in supply of Bitcoin, which is a total of 21m in existence but 19million + in circulation. and remaining will be mines 120+ years from now. And also the halving which will make it more expensive. One of the most important thing I like about Bitcoin is that it is decentralized in nature, which means it is not controlled by any entity but depends on everyone in the blockchain (mode) and all transactions are stored in the blockchain together with the harsh which can not be manipulated, like the way centralised system will manipulate everything. So this is my reason for loving the cryptocurrency (BTC) another thing is that It last for as long as 100years and above, with all information stored in the blockchain but a centralised exchange may lose your information and may not have a proper or accurate information about your data. But Bitcoin transaction is store one the blockchain which can be retrieved by the transaction harsh at any given time.
