For me it is because of the high when you win. You know he feeling when you’re on a losing streak and deciding on a one last bet but suddenly you won, however small, and you get that euphoria, that adrenaline rush, that overwhelming happiness just because of a small win? That, that is why gambling is addicting.
That euphoria thing, That really could make you feel good when you are gambling... The more you could feel it, the more you'll get in to it, however some gamblers are not addicted, they are just always there because they are disillusioned that they could "earn" in gambling which sometimes gives them headache than money...

I bet that you have that personality that you will never accept defeat easily. That is why you keep on playing chasing your losses.
