We have other things that can work as a store of value not just the traditional money. Bitcoin for example. Then there is gold and so on. There are other important things in this world and not just money but money is just too mainstream. It can be because of its form which is more easy to carry and can be found or accepted almost anywhere.

When it comes to global transfers, Bitcoin can work better than this because it is online and then there is no restrictions whatsoever because there are no third parties that are involved here. Governments and banks around the world should consider this type of payment method but I think some of them are already supporting it.

You know there are only two things that can happen, you control the money or you control the money. The choice between the two I mentioned is ours.

     It's true that money is important, but I don't believe that if you don't have money you will die in poverty, it's not like that. There are as many ways as how we can have it.

All we need is to have life plans, goals, targets, and above all dreams. In order for us to have a lot of money, let's imitate the style that businessmen do, but let's not control the money. I hope you got what you want if I point out what I'm saying.

Money can pay for luxuries and whatever else you want, but it won't make your life any longer than it needs to be. This means that there is no eternity in this world, actually we only live to enjoy this world for a while. Even the apocalypse is really will coming, it is a belief. So there's no reason to deify money, it's really just something that's useless after death. But I know you're probably just kidding. LOL

Money is the most valuable thing in the world today because we all use what we can afford to exchange money, how do we do this? Through buying and selling.

If money wasn't valuable in the world today we wouldn't have our impressive belongings like gold, crowd oil, Bitcoin, and all the rest.

As most poverty stricken country in this world just like mine, it would only normal to say that money is the most important resource you need in order to survive.

I have seen a lot, from young to old people who already finished their studies that wanted to find their jobs to build their career but still struggle due to the lack of financial support. As the world nowadays, it'd be hard to make money without money as an initial investment excluding the fact that you can gain money by providing services or selling your skills. If you want to learn or earn, most of the times the requirement is a certain specific condition that also needs money.

Let's hop into the world of priorities such as food. As what I've said above, us living on the poverty stricken country could feel the changes on the economy by experiencing expensive necessities such as food. With inflation leading the prices to skyrocket, we are left to find alternatives just for us to have a good meal on our tables.

That's what you saw, in my own world, women always find someone to help them, more easily than men, if you are female I pray you turn to a man for just 24hours, you will know what I am talking about, men are loved and care for only when they are rich and can provide, even if a man struggles all the days of his life, he is still nobody until he makes it.

On the female side, it is a different story, there is no 'you are a man, so man up' in their world, they get help easily, they find job easily, they are loved easily, even from their parents.

Grow up as a boy, your mother will love you as her child, and you as a child will be saying that you love your mother the most, because she cares, get to 20+,  that's when you will know that the reason why it look like your father never cared was because he has to provide.  At this point onward, you will realize that your father love you all along, and as a man he will tell you some stuffs about women. 

I think I read it here or on reddit somewhere and I talked about it before. I believe that money is like a key and life is filled with doors, the more money you have, the more doors you can open and if you don't have money then you do not have that many doors and you would live a limited life, if you have a lot then you can open all the doors and can decide how you want to live.

My life is very limited because of money, I need at least another 10-20 thousand dollars to just cover the "dreams" that I have which is very small, like see another nation, get another thing for my house and so forth, but considering the situation we are in, I would say that it is not going to happen, and I started to learn to live with that.

The debt experienced by bankrupt countries like Sri Lanka is because the Sri Lankan government cannot take advantage of the country's original resources, most countries are in debt because they want to pursue modern and infrastructure so that when problems occur it will be complicated, it is true that the easiest thing to colonize a country is with money, namely provide loans with high interest.

But if the people didn't give the politicians this power in the first place they won't have seen or have the means to oppressed them. We're the cause of our problems most times because we know this politicians are evil yet we still go and elect them into office because of the promises they say during campaigning which we all know won't be fulfilled.

Money rules the world because it's a means of exchange that the society has adopted for our daily necessities. You need money to survive in the modern world as without it you can't do the basic things that's needed. Money gives power and power commands respect which is what is been used for ruling.

Money is the name of god. The more god essences (money) you collect, the godlier you will become.

Take a look at Elon Musk for example. He is a very godlike being. He has billions, he is making rockets go boom, manufacturing electric cars and solar roofs... He has everything a man would dream.

Donald Trump. The man is so rich, he became the president of the America even though he wasn't originally a politician... Another godlike being.

I can give you many examples. People think religions are a lie, the gods don't exist. They don't realize gods are living among us.

Feeling sorry for you, i hope your problems come to peace. Secondly, money is not ruling the world. Some international trading rules has been forced or agreed upon to keep the pace of economy and development up in the competition. In simple, there were no money (paper or digital money) back in days, people trade goods with goods and services with services. than the reign of coin came up in which equal amount of silver, gold etc. are being used to buy product and services. But then world shifts to paper money for ease in access and in carrying it. And now world i shifting to digital money (cryptocurrency). i am sharing some sources from where you can get broader concept of how things started from stealing to buying and selling.

These compilation will give you some idea why there is a need of money and how it impacted the lives of human beings. If you ask, Can money buy happiness? then yes nothing in the world expect love, that you can not buy with money. But as for you scenario there is no money and government is failing then i must say (i know giving advice is easy and fulfilling it is very hard but) you guys can shift back to same old method of goods for goods and services for services. in this if you have any skill (if you have not then you have no option to learn one) or if you produce any product then you can trade them with your required products and services. Those in the world who says money can't buy happiness is a total lie. Those who can do whatever they can or at least fulfil the needs and wishes of themselves or there loved ones are the ones who understand the importance of money in making you happy. No doubt i have seen many people with lot of money and still living a life full of problems. All in short for you i can say, be strong this time will pass and raise international awareness about  you government. i do not know from which country are you from but i can related your conditions to some extent with me because we are also near to being declared as default ( why same reason, illiterate gov.)

I really sympathize with what you have to say, but the truth is that I see the problem as only personal to you or to me. I think the problem of money is dominating people's lives as much as necessary, creating an invisible barrier that makes it difficult for us to live comfortably. The general situation of the world economy is also very bleak, and there are also positive changes, but for me, one person sees that when we have enough opportunities to create them, knowing enough for ourselves is necessary. Many people are poor, and many are rich, social stratification is different. But there is also one thing that I understand that when we are living, we have accepted everything that happens, so being rich or poor is just another form of life, and if we take things lightly, life will feel less stressful.

You need to be passionate on something and have a satisfied mind. If this is possible with a person, then he/she'll never think about money as power. Will this be reality, this kind of person can be seen one on hundred or thousands. When we're passionate about something we follow it and the same could bring money that is sufficient. At this point greed should not accompany us, and we should have satisfaction with what we've got. This attitude is must for everyone to rule away power of money.

What else do you think should have ruled the world instead of money? Talent? Bravery? Courage to try new things? Innovation? Improvements? New tech? Knowledge? Smart people?

All of that is calculated by something, if you are smart, how smart are you? If you are brave to do something, how brave are you? If you are talented, how much talented are you? All these had to be calculated some way and money was the key to that. Sure when it first started it was more like "this dude is a better farmer than the other one" and that's how you used gold coins at the earliest days, but then we started to grow out of that but the system stayed. Is it sometimes unfair? It is mostly unfair, not just sometimes. But that doesn't mean that we have any alternative, even bitcoin is a type of money, and as long as we need that calculation method, we will always have money.

although money is not the determinant of everything, there are many problems that require money in all its solutions. Money becomes a force to measure the level of success in a developing country where all areas of development must work in unison. because of many incidents, the state gets a large income from the available natural resources but its government does not really care for its people, and finally the country falls, several countries declare collapse because of this, and instead of the people being prosperous but actually miserable

Because everything needs money. I know that money is not the only one that makes people happy and money is not everything. But, honestly, everything will need money. Although some people always say that happiness will not depend on how much money you have, on the other hand, we can see how many people will always still need money to make their life. The exact thing is however the amount of money, people may be happy, not only much money, but small money is also able to make someone to be happy.
But we still cannot be out of money. Whatever we have and want, we will need money to pay for it. Much or the money you have, the much more honor you will get. Sadly, this still happens in many areas in some countries.

Because humans make it to be so. if you look at most of the world's problems they all have some connections with money. So like you said, money rules the world, without it, nothing meaningful can be done.
If you take an undeveloped country for instance, no matter the human resources it may have, without money or a better means of generating revenue, it will struggle to develop. Same applies to businesses. Almost everything (if not everything) revolves around money. Nothing can be done in its adsence.

Money and power are not interchangeable. Money can buy power, but power without money is worthless. There is no powerful being today or in the past who became so powerful without the involvement of money. Money is said to be the root of all evil, but it all depends on how you allow it to control you. Because of the power that money possesses, you will be obsessed with doing both legal and illegal things. To me, being able to control yourself with money is the most powerful tool and power being you’ll ever become.

In today's world that we live in,money rules because money answers all things.the main reason behind this statement is that money makes life very comfortable.a million dollars man is respected and loved because he has such influence and power to control everything.a poor man with no money in his bank account can't affect much that's why money rules the world.without money life seems immobile.without wealth everything becomes futile.money though has its pros and cons.one must be cautious while chasing it as I have come to realize that the crave for money is insatiable.the more you have it the more you want more.money is the wheel that sets our dreams on motion.in all money is good but the love of it is evil

Money as an entity was rethought in Ancient Sumer. 

In the past, money served exclusively for the exchange of some goods (works, services) for other goods (works, services). 

However, some people were financially more successful than others and accumulated large amounts of coins.  The ancient Sumerians realized that excess money is also a commodity.  Money can be loaned at interest.  For example, there is an ancient king.  He plans to go to war with another state, seize new territories and slaves. 

However, to prepare for war, he needs money.  He can borrow them from a moneylender. 

So money became the driving force of all social life in the world.
