it should be, since most states want it to be. on a federal level i dont know, but theres much benefits then getting high.

And a legalization would remove spice which is killing people. Having people die around you is not fun.
I would like to share some experience....
Last month I took a week off and went to Malana. A well known place around the world for producing quality weed in Himachal Pradesh India, It is a totally isolated village where people don't even like to talk to outsiders.. they feel like people from outside are trying to invade their lives and might corrupt them in one sense or other .. the village wasn't discovered till late 20th century and still there is no road leading directly to village although the tracking route now is just 8-10km which was some 70 km just few years ago and few 100kms before that. They still have their own rules and regulation that one enters the village has to follow.
People there are using marijuana from centuries , they use it for all types of things one can imagine. I saw few people wearing sandals made out of weed. You can call them whatever you want but they will never ever touch any outsider and won't let outsiders touch them. But one thing they will provide you is best quality Hash anytime anywhere no restrictions on that . While tracking you can see women rubbing the plants and collecting the resin and keeping the rubbed leave/plant in buckets tied to their back .. People there are living there lives with all joy and happiness and one can sense the peace and positive energy follows around the valley, you will forget about everything that's going in outside world once you'll be there, and that is why I can understand why people there are living happily and don't want to be a part of any society that will tell them " IT's ILLEGAL "

Government should make it legal and tax it like everything else. That way it can be controlled like in Amsterdam.

I think all drugs should be lagal for adults, even the hard ones. Why not? Some people are addicted to energy drinks or coffee and have the right to be, so addiction is not a problem here. What is then?
