I think we are making a scammer who took the hard work of traders feel good and popular with SBF that is everywhere in the forum.
I don't see any problem with people talking about him and him being popular, even as it is not for good reasons, it is important that people get to know that there are individuals like this who are in cryptocurrency and their positions has not exempted them from fraudulent tendencies. The SBF story as it spreads has also helped people to know the importance of not leaving their money on any exchange even in exchanges with good reputation so far. If this situation had not happened, many people will never take the warning to stop keeping money on exchanges as important or serious.
Bad people being popular is actually a bad thing in the long run. This wasn't about scammers, but there was a test done and all the kids who do school shootings in America end up doing it because they all see it from some other person usually.

They are usually mistreated and bullied kids, and they pick up their guns and shoot up the school because everyone "bullied" them, as if that would be a good solution. Overall they see that as giving justice themselves, and they see it on TV and this means if you put bad people on TV, that means there will always be someone who will glorify them and it's a wrong move and you should avoid showing their face or tell their names.

Yes SBF has become very badly famous, this is what we can call negative fame, do you think SBF is happy with this negative fame he got? No one ever likes negative publicity, he will be hated wherever he goes and people will always refer to him as the bad guy who stole investors money.
This is not fame this is smash, in fact SBF will not be able to create any business anymore because his negative fame will prevent anyone from believing or trusting him. This moral destruction is the best punishment he gets.

That is just what is happening, scammers are reputed people now using crypto to scam investors and nothing yet done with Do Kwon and SBF. Some people that are less privileged did not do up to that but saw themselves in prison not long after. I thought that was how my country was that those developed countries bring people to justice very fast, but it is otherwise that I am seeing now.  Some people died because of what happened, some people put their life savings on those scam and ponzi coins, and they lost almost all in just a day.

Do you want a fame like that? His been flagged as worst ceo for what ending up on his exchange FTX. I dont think being popular with this kind of reason would gain him more amusement from the community hence more anger from people who loss their fund out of his irresponsible overleveraging.

Yes he comes out to media and talk about stuff but it doesnt mean that people admire him or proud of what his done.

When scammers are already hype and keep coming up with negative news, then there is no popularity to be gained. There will only be insults when you find out that the scammer is still living peacefully in his house without thinking about the investors who have lost a lot of money. no stage was given to SBF, he became the center of attention due to the bankruptcy of the Exchange he founded and provided no reimbursement for investors. the FTX case SBF built gives a bad image to the current crypto trust.

Bitcoin is GOD
I have seen that Samuel Bankman-Fried is getting the hype for himself after scamming follow bitcoiners, forum members who keep their coins in FTX exchange. His name is abbreviated as SBF with his first initials in many thread here writing about him. At first I can't follow up to the reading because SBF was used and I thought one of the crypto abbreviated words like FUD, FOMO.  In the curiosity I have I decided to search SBF in my browser and I saw different meaning and not Samuel Banksman-Fried. I went back to the thread to do but a careful reading and now understood the full name/meaning as Samuel Bankman-Fried. Now I go back to my browser to type SBF and it now appear as Samuel Bankman-Fried and other meaning of SBF

I think we are making a scammer who took the hard work of traders feel good and popular with SBF that is everywhere in the forum.

But what do you suggest? He scammed billions of dollars, cheated his investors, single-handedly crashed the market and caused many other people to also lose their money, of course we are going to talk about him and what he did.

Also you seem to be confusing someone becoming famous with someone becoming infamous, SBF is not famous but infamous, basically he is a notorious person but instead of being notorious by something positive he is notorious by something negative.

Yeah I typed in SBF while searching in Google and I missed typed it as SMF when posting here, my bad. I believe most readers can understand that I made a typo error in some lines and I whave corrected that anyway. I understand there is no way he can not be discuss online but in the wrong.

Just read your edited post and uh... are you suggesting we should talk about him less? cause that's what the man wants the most right now -- for people to forget his atrocities. Honestly, stuff like this should be talked more for awareness.

Anyway, it's weird that you didn't get anything about the man/the scandal when you looked up SBF even for the first time  Undecided

Op I'm of the opinion that quoting his name is making it to be popular, but it's good for everyone to take notes of his name indecencies that both people that knows him and people that have not come across of him will take adequate precautions about it's scam, so advertising him should be one of the primary function to eliminate or eradicate it's plans.

The reason why he is constantly on the news and everywhere is because this is pretty much the biggest financial fraud of the decade. This wasn't some small exchange like Cryptopia, QuadrigaCX, etc. This was the 2nd largest volume exchange out there.

The guy put himself out to be some "earn to give" philanthropist and tricked many people into believing that all the billions he makes he will donate all of them to charity. Many people including Kevin O'reay fell for his tricks.

If you mean famous by having his name in articles, I think it's natural since the FTX issue had him at the lead so people needed a name, not just the company/exchange name, but rather the lead person for the issue.  I also highly doubt people who didn't know the issue would even know of him, I reckon it's the first time they'd even seen his name in the first place. And in that case, them knowing of his name basically attaches the FTX issue, which is in no way the popularity you'd want imo.
I feel like it is inevitable for him to get more and more famous, it is going to be something that will just naturally happen. What could happen if you just lost 6 billion dollars worth of money of your customers?

In any industry of the world that will become a huge deal, and we are just not going to see it change too much, it will just keep being a big deal and it will have a lot of articles and news about it coming out every single day. That's just the normal way of things, when you lose that much money, it is interesting. All the people who lost money will read it, and even the ones who didn't will read up on it a bit to see what's going on as well.

~In the curiosity I have I decided to search SMF in my browser and I saw different meaning and not Samuel Banksman-Fried.

If you don't know the name of the owner, nor the correct name of the exchange if you have to search who the guy was, then why are you so angry at him being "popular" when he obviously isn't as you don't have a clue about him?

Now I go back to my browser to type SMF and it now appear as Samuel Bankman-Fried and other meaning of SMF

I'm actually not sure this is what's happening there, when I type SBF I get results related to the crypto scandal, when I type SMF I don't get any hit, not even in the news, I get news from French and Indonesian sources but nothing about SBF and FTX.

I think we are making a scammer who took the hard work of traders feel good and popular with SMF that is everywhere in the forum.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that after losing 10 billion, with a high chance of getting in jail SBF must be so damn happy that when people search SMF (how many even do this) they get results on how much of a scammer and incompetent he and his team was. You're putting way too much emphasis on how much people normally care about their social media presence or internet exposure, especially in this case.

Anyhow, quite ironically, while complaining about his popularity you just opened a thread with his name and made a lot of people that are curious about your story search for " SBF", exactly the opposite of what you were angry of.

I am so amused with your post, you literally made me laugh. I mean your post is so accurate. LOL

Did you use google? because google searches could be personalized which is probably why there's a SBF when you looked up SMF. In my case, not a single SBF showed up when I looked up SMF on google.

But whether SBF shows up when people search for SMF, SPF, and whatnot doesn't mean he becomes popular in a good way). Most people will probably ignore it because it's not what they searched for and those who become interested will see the shit show he made. I wouldn't worry about this.

Its SBF  as in Samuel Bankman Friend, I don't know why you are confusing it with SMF. The only relation that we can see is that SMF means Simple Machine Forum is a forum software that this community has been using.

Maybe someone mistype it here and that's what you see, but obviously, very very different.

But there's nothing wrong in asking at least your doubts will be clear.

Until now SBF is still talked about and the others are still being made into content by other influencers on various social media platforms. Here you can see the connection and influence of SBF. I think that he planned this from the beginning, and it cannot be denied that he did it well, although it was not right that he made this scandal in the world of cryptocurrency.

Now he is using the money to clean up his character by participating in various interviews on well-known platforms such as the deal summit New York Times, and even with other YouTube influencers, SBF is interviewing, which is about it obvious that he's enhancing his image that he's not at fault when it comes to the thickness of his face in reality.

It is SBF and FTX, not FTZ and SMF. When I've read about SMF, I'm thinking of the forum.

But just search out the news about him and you'll see why people are made him. Imagine, the money of the people that have trusted him and his management.

And then, he's not able to keep it properly and did something else with it. If that's questionable hate for you made by the people, just keep on digging more news.
