Because the media are controlled by the government or other private investors. I've heard a lot of misinformation in my national television about crypto. And newbie have no idea whether they are told the truth or not.
I think the media is telling the truth to the bitcoin and altcoin, the decline in the price of altcoin and bitcoin is due to the Korean government policy, so the price of crypto currancy weakens. I hope this soon passes, because many of the crypts are experiencing current losses

Traditional mass media sees Bitcoin as a sensational news. But not all are negative news, I always see positive news on Bitcoin. Don't forget that media only report what they see to the naked eye and it is much different if you learn and study it. There is also Black Propaganda on Bitcoin, mass media who align themselves with traditional banking can give you false or lack of truthfulness on their reports.
Media is controlled by governments so it is normal. When bitcoin goes up or down significantly, we see on TV, newspapers and so on. Actually media dont care about what is bitcoin. They just want people to read their news. So negative news are always read by people much more. Thats the main reason.

your opinion right now, there are so many media that give bad news about bitcoin, maybe I think many people do not like bitcoin success, I think bitcoin success is too fast, bitcoin increase fastest in 2017. hopefully bitcoin can survive 
There is always a good and bad news there. Propaganda is run in countries that BTC operation is not comfortable.
You can see some governments who say they will support bitcoin and there are still media criticizing bitcoin. For people who have a particular bank and government who want to have complete control over all its citizens so that their people become enslaved by their system,because they do not see bitcoin as a good thing.

sorry, I do not think it's a strange thing, where the media always plays a role in interfering in personal affairs, companies, governments and surrounding communities. I wondered what the media wanted, with the media a lot of credibility, popularity and wisdom that crashed and ruined its future. as if the media were the break-up of unity, the relationships that had been built. while the positive media can make imagery to make sure the audience.
I think the media today preach negative news about bitcoin not apart from an interest where there are different parties who do not want bitcoin advanced and expanded and accepted in various countries. my advice should not be provoked and affected by the media, because it is just annoying and makes any doubts. we oppose the media with support for the credibility and quality of bitcoin in the real world.
The media is against it because,i think what they do not understand as a media firm finrelating to the public,they do not have a stand on how to explain BTC
The media did not know about it, and they not believe. They try to convince people that it is not real, maybe because earning with Bitcoins is easy.
We all know that medias are controled by government and like governments don t like bitcoin and work on banning it, medias too do the same work by attacking bitcoin and mentionning its bad sides.

Media is not really against bitcoins. Medias are only payed by those other parties or other rich companies to create black propaganda about bitcoins or fake news because there are different businesses in this country who are being affected by bitcoins growth in the community and they are creating a way to reduce investors for their own sake of advantage of getting their own consumers.
While some media may be against Bitcoin, some of the financial media outlets not only support Bitcoin but also have segments dedicated to crypto currencies in particular. CNBC stands out.
Most media arent against bitcoin its just they are panicking when the price is falling or crashes and what the viewers to realise the risks involved. I wouldnt say this means they are against it it just depends on the user weather he trusts the news channel or trusts coin , whatever his opinion is decides what he is going to do media is just a barrier which can easily be overcomed
It's the 1% that are 'against' BTC, because BTC is decentralised and they hate the fact that they can't easily tax it. BTC is freedom from the current monoculture banking system. As someone nicely put it, it is an insurance policy against an orwellian society.
I think they are not against but they have to do nothing as what their government says to do. If the own government introduced bitcoin then the media will introduce it if course. I hope that someday government will allow bitcoin.
Its not the media that is against bitcoin or cryptocurrency its the government haha.. As bitcoin is not like our fiat money that they can control they can taxed. These governments are against it because they can't earn from it nor corrupt any transaction from their community, that's how I see it. And since its untracesable for every transaction being sent and it can only be accessed online. Many are using it and benefiting it as long as you can connect to the internet and some are using it as other illegal transactions which is the bad side.

In fact, you are wrong, most media is now supporting bitcoin (only a few channels of course)
I am a huge FAN of the TV, and i am always seeing good videos about bitcoin - explanations, good talks about it.

Not all media dislike bitcoin. In the Philippines, the media makes the mass aware about bitcoins. They are trying to be neutral about it, and so far, i haven't heard any negative things about btc.
