Both ways have their pros and cons. I believe that cryptocurrency gambling is "easier" as you don't have to visit a physical location to play and make a profit plus you don't carry any cash. Everything is electronic. And I think that I should not forget to mention that people have faith in Bitcoin that its value is going to increase in the future so it is better to fill your bag with crypto rather than with cash.

Obviously OP has never really gambled at enough fiat casinos, or lives in a country like UK where there are plenty of fiat casinos to choose from and all are regulated. To be honest, if my country regulated it I would play at all the fiat place. In my country the government has restricted all major fiat betting like bet365, marathonbet etc and although I can bypass the state limitation by Vpn the problem is when I withdraw funds, the state doesn't allow gambling funds, with crypto is different, the state do not care so far and crypto sportbooks are note blocked because the state doesn't know much about them.
