I kinda noticed that people will just easily call a project scam without even researching about the project, their judgement is solely based on the price and does not consider that most altcoins are affected by the bear market. If they can't change their mentality, this would affect the reputation of the project, this is like destroying a project's reputation in bad times, instead of helping them.
That's right and that was the wrong practices of the people in which they are easily saying that the project is scam or the project is not legit even though without any proper research or any reading on the whitepapers of the projects so it is still bad because they are making a false information to others and may brought negative image to the projects.

It is normal for them to think that way,
Most people become uneasy when they see the price of their investment starts to decline. Maybe they don't actually know how the crypto market works or circulate.

I concur with you, it is not right to say such things about a project during bear market as it does not help the project in anyway but funny enough those who don't understand the crypto space will still be too quick to call the entire space scam, have seen such on twitter. Bear market deals with all coins with no exemption and the best the team can do is to continue working on their project while the community members continue supporting the best way they can.
Also, maybe, the reason why most people call a project scam during bear market is that, the team aren't working neither are they updating the community on what they have achieved so far, which is not good. In the same way, there are projects which can exit scam during bear market, some can even shut down while blaming bear market for it.
In all ramifications, even though some projects can shut down etc, it still doesn't mean all are scam and hence every good project needs a supportive community at all times.

It's funny to think that even old cryptocurrencies become a "scam" when it is the bear market. I remembered it during the 2017 bull run and when Bitcoin suddenly plummeted you'll see a lot of people saying Bitcoin is a bubble and Bitcoin is a "scam" especially in this forum where you will see a lot of newbies throwing tantrums of how they lost their money because of it being a scam. You'll see a lot of this type of person when the market is red as they have nothing left to blame from their own mistakes but the project itself since the only thing they did is believe in it when the prices have already taken off. Hype is basically what killed their money and I really won't worry about the noise they are creating in the market since they have zero experience in it.

It is normal to the people because there are a lot of chances and reasons why the people saying that the projects is a scam maybe to the amount of price that the priject will paid or into the past projects that they have been participated on they have scammed.
If we are a trustworthy and good participants of the projects then probably we don't do this kind of this things because we are helping the projects but when we do this things we are just destroying the reputation of the said projects.

They do so because they don't understand cryptocurrency, or they are new to the system or are just so impatient and want to cash out quick on the project. First thing first is a thorough research on a project before investing... Take your time to understand the platform, the team behind it and so on. Just just read white paper. Let's be more watchful and careful before investing in any project.

We can't blame anyone about this, that's how crypto users mindset. Scam is not listing, that is the simple explanation. Even have small price but have market ( listing ) people will not call it scam. The mindset came from experience but I'm sure they only take wrong project, keep trying is the solutions. The main method is still use popular coin for all activity, no scam just lost value.

Indeed. Such type of thinking or mindset towards a project which is easily judging it without doing prior research and spending false accusations because of its current standing in which the price of the token being promoted by that project is low is somewhat already destructing the reputation of that project which makes it more difficult for them to attract participants that can be a potential investor to make the project become successful. Remember everyone, not all fail projects are all scams because it is not really easy to establish a project because there are still lots of things to do and to consider before making it successful and leading its price to improve into a higher one. If we keep on saying that a low priced project is a scam, then even those good quality projects will be affected leading for people not to trust any projects anymore due to false accusations. Better do researching first before judging a project to be a scam or not because a single word of accusation even without basis can affect a project's reputation and it can destroy and make it fail at all.

Yeah that mindset is not suitable for great and projects that have use-cases. The market drops sometimes really affect everything. Its not always about the development of the project. They always do that, its continuously happening even if the market pumps or completely drops. Thats what they cant understand.

I've seen few projects in the past that people talk bad about them but later the projects prove them all wrong, how about that? What people says won't have impact on a project, the team only need to concentrate on their development and show the world what they are capable of

What wrong is that people always prejudge towards the project even it is under development. Though there are some projects that are basically scam right from the start of their campaings by having team involve in fraudulent activities or having bad reputations. Maybe people are just had enough of seeing projects that would end up as scam and the way the market goes it is har for that project to survive.

Yes it can affect the reputation of the project but for me, if they are not scam at all they will rise high when the market started to pump. We can easily say the project is a scam but as an investor we should also make our own research to confirm it because we all know that fake news are also spreading in cryptomarket.

There are two possible situations the project is a "sh*tcoin project and the other one due to current down trend.
It happens I knew a project it is down more than 200% from its IEO price. Its still exist and the ceo still active on twitter posting stuff about btc like a moonboys I am thinking that project is equivalent to a scam project I am guessing they are the one dumping their coins, No investors will sell at loss at more than 200% loss that is ridiculous right? It does not even hit IEO price on first day of trading, you can't blame those people they have their own reasons in different situations.

Well sometime it will calling it scam if the bounty campaign have no development or in the of the bounty are not totally distributed the bounty rewards. Ill think you know the answer on why one of us are worried about the projects has not active and gone early if they think that project that would not be success.

Yeah, people are thinking with their heart not their mind Smiley
Arrgh, I've lost 50$ of my investments if I sell at the current price, damnit... This is scam, all the devs are bastards! Smiley
I think not all projects and developers scam projects because I see some that are successful but it is undeniable that there are scams and some successful projects like that are few because there are many who are tempted by the money given by investors so many are scam.

Only very few projects have the ability to maintain the price of their tokens. That a particular project could not, does not mean it is a scam project. Although, most crypto projects are a scam, except for very few of them.
The bear market also has its shortcomings and ways in which it affects the marker.
Everything will come back to normalcy and the real projects that could overcome the teat of time would be seen..

It's more of a domino effect because the majority of the projects that showed dump for their price before have been seen to be performing like that, as a scam.

But calling it a scam without strong evidence or hint, I guess it's just part of the frustration.

If there is no trading movement after the dump, then, more than likely the dev exited already. Because if there will be real development, they won't let their coin die in exchanges. They will find ways on how to keep it alive. But if months passed, and no news or updates. They certainly abandoned the project.
It's likely that they've sold their shares and stack of that token that they have which is allocated for the devs and staffs.

The cycle will continue when they create a new token and project and I guess that's the bread and butter that they did for several projects. Until, most of the investors finally understands that it's no longer worth it investing because of the unusual dumping.

That's the typical attitude of people who are into a project for quick gains and not necessarily what the use cases of the project can offer humanity. However, in situations like these when such people decide to sell off their holdings take advantage of it and buy the dip. But do so with projects that you have made the necessary research about and know they have a market once their products are fully developed.

I think projects do not get termed as scam just because it dumped in price.

The most important factor considered is the 24 hr volume of such project, of what value with a coin which crashed with a 24 hr volume of 1000$ be to the crypto space ?
And if we are being frank and honest with one another, 80% of altcoins in this space are all scam with not one use case.

Any project that is not working after ICO or IEO is likely to be called scam project because investors money will not be return to them as the project itself is not working. Project that the team aren't developing the project can be term scam project. Also, many other projects with secret team members can be a potential scam, this has happened many times and will Continue to happen till the investors learn their lesson. Bearish market is not a determinant of scam project, scam project are bad project without anything to gain in return for investment in their platform.

I think it is because people want value out of each project and each of their investment, if someone is investing his basic aim is to profit and that too in the shortest possible time frame as possible so the project teams should always keep this aspect on their mind. Personally i do support projects even if they go ico prices during down trends but if they go beyong 10x below ico prices then there is something wrong and people will raise fingers including me.
