There could be another reason why and its due to regulations and another with the grey area of bitcoin gambling laws.

Remember that large bitcoin mixer website, I think it was called Bitmixer. It was opperational and very profitable for many years. And all of a sudden it just closed down, wasn't it offered up for sale.

Many think its due to the darknet market sites being closed by the FBI.

BTC went up, they made killer profits, why risk it. They just closed the site and are now living on a beach somewhere.

They definitely had other option. One was to gather investors and allow people to take part in the profits. This would increase their bankroll and make everything go smooth. They could also decrease the max bet or max win whatever they preferred. It's so hard to make a casino popular and gather clients. Selling an established one is a waste, especially if it just sits and waits there closed down. If nobody buys it in the next month it's going to be hard to make people come back.

Rollin.io was my first ever casino tryout and I will be really sad if they don't come back, though I haven't player out there in ages, it's one of the most trusted one so ya it feels bad to loose this casino. However I feel it could be due to some upgrades coming, I feel they will come back and stronger, I don't think this site will be dead. Like people have pointed out it used to recieve 100000 - 300000 visitors it's bound to bounce back. I feel it could also be due to change in Bitcoins price, that would have seriously effected them. I hope they make a return.

It is possible they will come back but with new owner as they are selling the site, if they cant find serious buyer then I think they will never come back because they have a plan on a new project IIRC. If they come with new owner = the site will be just another new sites which needs to gain trust starting from 0 even though they were trusted previously.

Do you think a lot of Casino game pages are simply flips until a problem occurs? Do you genuinely believe that more than a few stay true to integrity of having the bank to cover "larger" bets? If so;

Then you must consider, in the crypto-world, what even consitutes a "larger" bet?, few, if any Casino companies provide us with a suggestion, an indication, or a permissible limitation on our betting. We must recognize with the perceived decentralization of software, verifiable with eth-contracts, there comes a trade-off of regulatory measures.

This needs to be solved.

Loyce here, until a few days ago Mod Loyce in Rollin Chatter Box. I haven't heard any official response in a few weeks, but 2 days ago I noticed accounts and stats have been reset. I made a new account Mod Loyce so I can chat again.

I believe there's no official statement from them as to why they decided to stop accepting deposits (correct me if I'm wrong).
There's this:
Our reasons to sell:
We want to give our full dedication (e.g. time & money) to other projects than rollin.io;
Due to the other projects we have, we cannot afford to risk our current bankroll with high rollers;
We are currently limited in our resources such as time, employees and money to make the casino prosper any further than it does right now.
To my knowledge Rollin hasn't been sold yet.

Such a shame, easily one of the best gambling site out there.
It was for sure my favourite.

I also don't think casino profits are always constant and they will be gaining every month because sometimes if any big whales win then their profits will be minus side.
I've seen a few whales win 60 or more Bitcoins during my time at Rollin. The price was much lower back then, at current rate that's $340,000 to risk. Of course, I've also seen whales lose those amounts, but it shows there is a real risk for the house when a single whale drops by once in a while.

Had you known the actual facts why did the website shut down you could have given a less ignorant answer.Rollin.io is in the game since a long time and they definitely didn't shut because automatically everyone started winning big.
Read my quote from Rollin.io above.

They did the business fairly and easily is as good as very few gambling sites in the market which value their players.
True that!

They stated in their selling thread*, that they have other (more profitable I assume?) projects going on
I know of one existing project and one project in the making, but I don't think it's my place to share their projects here.

Shortly before listing their site for sale they reported 2x in a week the cold wallet being drained.
It was the hot wallet, cold wallets are of course safe from online hacks.

Quote
I'm unclear if it was hacks or a big roller getting lucky.
I can confirm this was caused by a hacker.

I doubt this was coincidental, they weren't making money is what it looked like to me. I'm a bit confused why they gave up on selling it so quickly and just decided to shut it down though.
I think their hot wallet was drained twice by hacker! i can't find rollin announcement thread anymore, it was posted there! this wasn't the first time they were compromised/hacked, they were hacked before too.

I'm pretty sure they were making a nice income of 100,000$ / month.  if not more.
why they close ?
Not really for 100,000/month. Remember (sometime casino have a lost).
Why they close? Did you read an information from Rollin.io (BTC casino) is now for sale! ?

Basically, they worried about the high rollers who can eat up their bankroll so they closed the site. I also don't think casino profits are always constant and they will be gaining every month because sometimes if any big whales win then their profits will be minus side. Also, it looks like they failed to sell the site as well because of the high price.

Stop making up bullshit dude ? That's the lamest answer ever.Had you known the actual facts why did the website shut down you could have given a less ignorant answer.Rollin.io is in the game since a long time and they definitely didn't shut because automatically everyone started winning big.

No idea why but guess it is due to maintaining the site vs making profit. Such a shame, easily one of the best gambling site out there.

I have read in the past on a thread that they are actually selling out their site.I didnt further read on whats the reason but im sure they didnt say the actual thing. Gambling site earnings isnt really constant just like been said above we wont know if they are still gaining profits or they are already on negatives.They are here quiet long time which they are definitely one of the reputable sites.Whatever the reason is then let it be.

Beyond that point we can only speculate. You can't really know their income though, it could've been unprofitable. There's too much competition these days and frankly websites like crypto-games and FortuneJack are much better than Rollin.

dude dont be idi
rollin.io had 300,000 visitors per month don't talk trash about competetion calculate yourself.
