It is only natural that a gambler will choose to gamble on the subject he understands best. I understand sports quite well and I grew up watching sports since childhood and I still watch sports regularly so it will be easy for me to make a decision when it comes to gambling on sports that's why I think sports betting is fine for me. People who don't know about sports will not accept such bets because they don't know how to make predictions and how to select teams. There are many reasons why most people prefer sports betting, European football games are now more advanced than before and have become more popular due to which people follow these games regularly. By regularly following these club level games, they have developed enough knowledge about the team and from that idea they feel safe gambling through sports betting.
You made a point here on knowing and watching sports since childhood and that is the point. There is a saying that you don't learn how to use left hand at old age, therefore it is just natural that sports become the more superior and most favoured game. Other gambling games are what people learn or taught as time goes on in their lives but I don't think they teach children how to play football, they know already from young age that what they must do is to use their leg to kick the ball and make the ball move from the position it was to another position. Even the kids who carry the ball in their hand also will drop it and use their leg on it. So also almost all the sports have been part of growing up.
