I would like to provide the meaning of depression, suicide, self steem, problem, and reason.

Depression (major depressive disorder) is a common and serious medical illness that negatively affects how you feel, the way you think and how you act. Fortunately, it is also treatable. Depression causes feelings of sadness and/or a loss of interest in activities once enjoyed.

Suicide is the act of intentionally causing one's own death. Risk factors include mental disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, personality disorders, and substance abuse, including alcoholism and use of benzodiazepines.

Self-esteem
reflects a person's overall subjective emotional evaluation of his or her own worth. It is a judgment of oneself as well as an attitude toward the self.

prob·lem
ˈpräbləm/
noun
1.
a matter or situation regarded as unwelcome or harmful and needing to be dealt with and overcome.
"they have financial problems"
synonyms:   difficulty, trouble, worry, complication, difficult situation

Reason is the capacity for consciously making sense of things, establishing and verifying facts, applying logic, and changing or justifying practices, institutions, and beliefs based on new or existing information.

Difficulties is the major reasons to low self steem of one person that can influence the person to think more complicated situation that can end to depression until to commit suicide.

How to handle depression?

Dealing with depression requires action, but taking action when you’re depressed can be hard. Sometimes, just thinking about the things you should do to feel better, like exercising or spending time with friends, can seem exhausting or impossible to put into action.

Look for support from people who make you feel safe and cared for.

Make face-time a priority.

Try to keep up with social activities even if you don’t feel like it.

Find ways to support others.

Care for a pet.

Join a support group for depression.

The issue of suicide has been with man since the cradle of all things, however, it seems to increase in rate with each generation. The causes or specific reasons why people commit suicide are numerous and come in varying forms. However, all these reasons or causes stem from the "big picture" which is related to mental health issues. Research shows that recorded cases of suicide proves victim to have had an unstable mental or emotional state. To curtail the issue of increased suicide rate, then this part of a person's life needs significant attention.

probably because they feel they have a hard life problem and there is no way out so that the suicide they think is the best way to solve the problem and I do not think they get closer to the god so they do not have inner peace within him. Grin

Depressions caused by poverty, low self confidence caused by numerous failures career-wise and emptiness caused by a number of rejections in matters of the heart. That i think contributes to the rising number of suicide cases.

Those of us who work in pediatric intensive care have frequent encounters with the problem of suicide and attempted suicide. It has seemed to me for some years that the numbers are increasing, and this has been shown to be the case. After years of declining, the suicide rate in our country has been increasing, now at about 125% of the rate of several decades ago.

This increase accelerated after 2006. Although all age groups showed an increase, the rate among women, particularly adolescent girls, took a notable jump. In 2012 suicide was the second leading cause of death in adolescents ages 12 to 19 years, accounting for more deaths in this age group than cancer, heart disease, influenza, pneumonia, diabetes mellitus, human immunodeficiency virus, and stroke combined. Here are some recent statistics of women from the CDC, although they don't quite break out adolescents they way I would like.

Actual suicide is just the tip of the iceberg, since, at least among adolescent girls who attempt it, typically, with a drug overdose, there are as many as 90 attempts for every death. Since a large number of these attempts end up in the PICU, I'm not surprised we are seeing more and more of them come through our doors. A few other points are worth noting here. The success statistics for adolescent boys are unfortunately much higher because boys tend to use more violent means than girls, such as hanging, firearms, or automobiles.

However, although rates for boys are up slightly, they really haven't changed much. It's also important to realize suicide attempts are a spectrum -- some are more serious than others. Many girls take an overdose and then immediately tell somebody about it. These are often called suicide gestures and can be quite impulsive. Some use the term "cry for help" to describe them. More ominous are children who carefully plan, such as by hoarding powerful drugs in secret and taking them in a setting where they won't be found. They may leave a suicide note. I couldn't find any data about whether these different categories are discordant in the rate increase, but I assume the two are tracking together. Finally, a child may not know which drugs are truly dangerous. I have seen very serious suicide attempts by children who take overdoses of what we know to be innocuous medications, but the child does not. Regardless of what category the attempt is, of course, the child needs mental health services subsequently. These days we find a child's text messages to be very helpful. So why the increase in adolescent girls?

Presumably, suicide rates are rough and ready markers for rates of depression. Is teen depression increasing? A 2006 study says no, at least up until then. What about the last decade, since 2006 appears to be the year suicide rates inflected upward in adolescent girls. I did find a snapshot for 2015 from the CDC of the number of adolescents who experienced a major depressive episode during the year -- girls were nearly 20%.

A recent study in Pediatrics, the journal of the American Academy of Pediatrics, found a nearly 50% increase in adolescent depression over the past 11 years. Mental health problems are notoriously difficult to study because, of course, we have no definitive test for them -- no blood test, no fancy brain scans. We mostly rely on surveys. Still, it does seem something changed about a decade ago, and this is probably reflected in the increase in suicide attempts among girls at roughly the same rate as the increase in major depression.

There are a few other things to keep in mind. Prescriptions of antidepressants have increased dramatically, particularly of drugs in the class we call selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitors (SSRIs). Common brand names for these are Prozac, Paxil, Celexa, and Zoloft. There has been concern that in the short term after starting them, SSRIs may actually increase thoughts about suicide in adolescents. Another new development is social media. Teenagers, especially those in difficult home situations or who are socially isolated, are quite susceptible to bullying behavior, and cyberbullying has emerged as a new threat to such children. There have been several dramatic cases in the news about suicides following cyberbullying.

I'm sorry to say I really don't know what explains these increasing rates, except to point out the overall rate of suicide for the whole population has also increased to some extent; it was 10.5 deaths per 100,000 persons in 1999 and is now 13 per 100,000. Middle-aged males have seen a dramatic jump in rates. It appears to me that, for many possible reasons, there is more social anxiety and depression in America, which in turn increases suicide rates. Adolescent girls are feeling this in particular. You might say our entire society is issuing a cry for help.

Depressions and low self-esteems are one of the reasons why there are a lot of suicide cases.

Most suicidal people are suffering from depression. This one of the most common problem that people go through that’s why they tend to take their own lives. The sad part is, most people do not take depression seriously, they do not quickly act until it is too late and they are drowned from it.

In the case of suicide there are many causes, one is depression and confusion, when somebody is confused with a lot of trouble It can lead to suicide, secondly some are forced into it just like in the case of terrorists that will brain wash some people to go into the midst of people to explode themselves, more over some are cause due to a problem above their power which made them to think that death is the only solution

I think the number of suicide increases because most of the people who are experiencing depression isn't that strong to overcome it that leads them to suicide. People are too emotional these days and mostly focus on their problems rather than solving it. They are hopeless and think that they can't do anything about their problems. We should do something about the increasing number of suicide and those people who are experiencing depression needs help.

Each suicide action is a unique case. No one will really know what is the main reason behind it even the experts though. There are so many things that can drive a person to end his own life. Untreated psychiatric illness, such as depression or bipolar disorder, is a major risk factor for suicidal behavior. Some people may be triggered by deep trauma in their life, chronic illness, influenced by alcohol and narcotics, or even due to socioeconomic factors.
We all face problems in life. One difference is the response of each person to stress and problems vary. People who are vulnerable to suicide do not have the healthy mindset needed to think logically and adjust their views to try to solve the problem even when the situation commands them to adapt.

In America, suicide is a public health crisis. In some cases, the offender does not admit to suicide during the last communication with his therapist.

Depressions and low self-esteems are one of the reasons why there are a lot of suicide cases.
Maybe some of the reason why a person committing suicide is because they are very feeling alone at the stage of depression. Being alone in the depression stage is always prone to commit suicide, in psychology a person who has someone to listen his problem can lighten the heavy feeling 'though there is no words from the listener. Sometimes a depress or a problematic person only need someone who is willing to listen his situation, someone that he/she can lean on.

Yes suicide case increase than we can imagine, so scary right, I cannot imagine how they can suicide. But as we know many people cannot accept because of situation economic crisis so because cannot survive of these situation. More country still facing economic crisis too long, maybe almost more than 2 years. But we can try to calm down because these situation will passing away by the times. Try too balancing our routine jobs with vacation with family or friends, so will calm down our stress in job or economic crisis. Beside those we can try keep positive our mind, like find out what is our hobby. Maybe in music, maybe in watching movies, go vacation, etc.

in my opinion because of poverty so I thought that suicide and hunger no good I have seen in the news that many mistakenly suicide because of poverty.
with the poverty that befalls a person and can not get a way out and become a stress and depression that prolonged. this is what makes people commit suicide. people commit suicide because he can not afford to live his life anymore and he feels no one cares for him anymore in this world so he prefers to die from life.

Suicide cases are mostly as a result of peoples' inability to adapt to problems they face in life. Some people can't manage stress well, depression sets in, then the next thing is they commit suicide
.
