Have you ever wondered that trading can be bad for your health?

The first problem you can have is - eyes problems. Spending more time in front of your computer can be harmful to your eyes.
The second - stress. Stress can cause many problems from high blood pressure to depression.

Here is my story...

This summer I went to a doctor with some health problems - I had an awful headache. Just to make picture clear - my headache was with me for 15-20 hours per day. So we did some tests showed that I had extremely high blood pressure.
“That’s odd” - I thought. I eat healthy food and I do sports.

I was confused. But the doctor said that it can happen because of stress. So I went to a psychologist to deal with this issue. We were talking about my life and interests. And I told her I trade… I believe I don’t need to continue this story lol

Since I trade a lot (I do. I could even tell this is an addiction). The doctor suggested me not to trade for about a week. That was impossible for me, but I tried. It was hard. It was more than hard. But in a couple of weeks, my headache disappeared.

I still trade but not as much as I used to. Now I practice blockchain games because it’s less stressful. Do I feel myself better? Yes. In July it was so painful so I thought that I will die. Now I don’t feel pain at all.

Conclusion:

I know it’s all individual. Some people trade days and night and they feel pretty good. I just told you my story with my experience. I don’t pursue anyone to stop trading. It’s just important for me to warn some people who can have the same problems.

First, they don't have enough preparation to face risk, include wise money management and knowledge. Second, never try to fix their mistakes and always repeat again and again. Last thing, always scare to loss. What I mention is depend my experience and I believe that's the main reason why trading become unhealthy. Don't follow my mistakes.

Yes sometimes trading activity make me boring and tired,  i spend all day for trading but sometimes i got loss.  I thinking i just waste many times and money.  But i know this the process that should be i follow it to become trader that more expert and possible to earn profit in consistently. Many trader reached financial freedim from trading and also many of them failed,  this is according to profesional and discipline each trader.

The same thing happened to me too. traded a lot but even when I get to the bed I keep trading in my head :/
it's like drugs
I feel bad to you mate and it really makes you stressful. It could be better to do some stuffs which could leave from your mind thinking about crypto. Cause if it will continue doing like these, it mentally affect your health and you couldn't think good in the future.
But if you are new to these, it definitely happen to you as what I've experience before. Anyways, it is just in the start, you can adjust by then in few months from now and try to control your mind cause it certainly affect your trading decision.

It's from your in perspective. Don't you know that having nothing to eat or nothing to buy the things that satisfy you is what makes people unhealthy? I don't think trading is unhealthy where in fact, when people trade they aim to have gains and psychologically they are happy with it. So where is the unhealthy in it?

I don't believe that it's unhealthy, but for general idea about this statements that unhealthy is for those who haven't grown mature with trading. To become a healthy for trading you must study hard and don't give up. Show what you got and make a stand over decision making.

I cant really deny the fact that trading is indeed a stressful thing yet you would need to control your patience or temper when you do see a particular difficulty situation.
Repeating these experience would really affect you but the thing you should done is not to put or engage too much your feelings on it because once stress will cover you up
then its expected it can really affect your mentality and physical body as well not only on trading even on basic thing we would do we can actually experience it too.

And Paramore says:
That's what you get when you let your heart win.

Emotions. You are stressed because your emotions gets the best of you.
Of course it needs some rest.
I once had an eye problem too from frequent monitoring just one coin.

Binance could also be a bad thing coz you can access it thru your computer and smartphone. Which I did the whole month.
I just cannot sleep for so many times until I get the enough profit for the day.

Don't worry it is not individual because a lot of people maybe already feel this experience. Crypto marker is 24/7 different with stock market that have holiday in weekend. Of course people always not want to miss a chance to get profit from it. Back to the problem, it is depend on ourself how we can control and manage our time.

I empathize with you and I understand perfectly well that I have faced such a problem myself. My problem was solved by a change of strategy-trading for a long time. I tried a trading bot, but it only added to my experiences.

Trading is not unhealthy. Based on your choice,it will become a unhealthy one.Trading is of two types. One is day trading and another is normal trading. In normal trading, people use to buy and hold for certain period .Then ,sell when the price reaches maximum. In day trading, the traders will buy and sell it within short period for the minimum profit. In day trading, your health may affected.

Your topic title is misleading. Based on your story,  I see that you already have a health problem even prior when you entered trading or while on your way, you really not take care of your health that's why you ended up like that.

Like you said, there are people that do trades almost the entire day but still showing a good health. It's about how you disciplined your body or if your body is really like that since then, you have to adjust for it the moment you enter trading.

About stress, why stress? Losses? Regrets? It's part of the trading and you must already know how to handle it since you mentioned that you are addicted to trading meaning you already built a great trading experience by now.

Well then, just take care of your health.

that is why I wrote this thread. I want to warn people like me

When you just work for day and night you will have problems in any kind of work not just in crypto trading.

Do you know why we have only 8 hours work schedule all over the world when we have 24 hours in a day? Because our body needs 8 hours sleep a day and 8 hours to spend the things which we like to do which can make our mental strength much stronger.

Day trading will make a person have extreme fatigue, as you said someone's eyes will hurt and the head will get dizzy if you stay quiet for too long looking at a chart pattern. Actually, I didn't do day trading, I will trade if I'm pretty sure will get money when I start trading, and I won't continue if the profit that I want has reached the target, or I won't continue if I have suffered a loss when trading. After all, everyone has a way to get what he wants, but at least this thread will tell you your experience.

if you generalize the word "trading" then it is completely untrue, try to trade stocks, then most likely you will feel different things. However, if what you mean is trading in cryptocurrency, this is reasonable because here the price is quite volatile, so some people who take steps will be a burden for him

If trading becomes an obstacle, doesn't matter if you make profits or not, stop doing that what is bad for your body. The profits you might be making are never worth the physical damage you inflict on your body as result of your hunger for returns and whatnot.

Another aspect heavily contributing towards stress and physical inconveniences is that people use borrowed money to trade with, or use money (mostly household money) that's not meant to be invested or trade with. If you cut that out, you have already eliminated a major source of stress and you'll see that you'll feel better instantly.

Crypto is a 24/7/365 market, which automatically subjects people to more potential stress, while legacy markets are tied to business hours and closed during the weekend. In crypto you have to take breaks yourself, and actually stick to it, don't ever overestimate yourself in the way that you don't need breaks. We're not robots.

It will always depend on the person behind it. Sometimes trading can be unhealthy if a person is always over trading but always losses.

you're right, trading especially in crypto is making your health disrupted. because emotion always arises when dump or pump prices. but it can be overcome by setting targets and making orders. so that when we buy, we can make a sell order and leave the market. after that we can rilex our minds.
