Observe, year by year bitcoin price are getting much better every year.

As you notice the price at the early of the year is similar to the past years. It's look like they have pattern. But the price of 2018 are much higher than 2017 at early of the year.

We know that Bitcoin with the passage if time improves and same is happening as the Bitcoin will improve its value from value which was in 2017. The 2018 start was a little down for the Bitcoin but we are now observing constant increase trend which indicates a better market in the upcoming days. The increase in demand will encourage the people and hence the market will be better.

Let's really wait for the next pump and see how can if affect the prices of this year

Hm, partially agree, I hold, but honestly lost some hope this year, feels like price is stabilizimg around 7-12k and I see no events that can change that soon. But we have to wait

in my opinion 2018 is better than 2017 in the sense that it was profitable to invest in bitcoin because of the low prices

Everyone is free to speculate but I think anything can happen in the bitcoin market, let alone bitcoin often make a surprises to many people. who would have thought the bitcoin price could reach $19k last year? nobody would have thought it would happen, so did this year. although many people are pessimistic, but bitcoin price changes, may surprise you. lets see what happen...

Let's just wait time will tell, I believe in bitcoin that it will pump the price again like happened in last year, but I don't think it be better this year, I hope so.

I guess last year was just the stepping stone for bitcoin's flight towards the moon. It was during last year since cryptocurrencies are made known to the majority of the people across the globe. So i think, that it's safe to speculate that this year will be a better year than last year.

I think bitcoin by 2018 can still allow a high rise, this is still in mid 2018 and there's still time to increase bitcoin. And I think by the end of 2018 bitcoin will increase by 20k.

Bitcoin has now been trading sideways at 8-10K for nearly 6 months. I believe there will be another bull-market for bitcoin that will take it to new a ATH significantly above the 20K in Dec 17, but the question is will that come in Oct-Dec 18 like it did last year, or happen in 2019? The history of the bitcoin price can give us some prediction of this, although using the past to project what might happen in the future can never be truly predictive of what will happen!

The shorter term growth cycles of bitcoin’s price are also shown as the red dots (growth) and green dots (sideways movement of bitcoin’s price). As you can see there have been 5 consecutive periods of 12-24 months of red dots with upgrowth in bitcoin’s price, followed by a 12-18 month period of green dots showing a sideways movement of bitcoins price before the next upward growth period. We are currently 6 months into an expected 12-18 month period of sideways movement of bitcoins price at ~10K, and history suggests the next upward growth period will start at the end of this year and take bitcoin to 50K in 2019 as per its long term growth line!

And the reasons that I believe bitcoins long term parabolic growth will continue over the next 5-10 years? I believe the later generation blockchains and protocols that are being developed will allow development of dApps that will slowly replace the current massive centralised companies and businesses we all use over the next 10-15 years, in a third technology revolution of the world. And I’m sure that bitcoin will continue to be the most important cryptocurrency in this new world for payments and as an increasingly important store of value, given its effectiveness and security in use so far and the improvements to it being made by its 200 or so dedicated developers and its recognition as a ‘brand’ by >50% of people in the world, and therefore given its limited and fixed supply bitcoins value will continue to increase exponentially as it has for the last 8 years as its ownership and use by people increases from the current <1% of people who own or use it to 10% ownership and use over the next 5-10 years. Great for all the current very early adopters!

if my prediction does it in the year 2018 will be very difficult for bitcoin like in the year 2017 ago. in because in this year bitcoin was experiencing a very drastic decline. so to achieve a value of $ 20,000 it will be very hard for bitcoin

Yes, it is difficult to talk about the road ahead, better or worse than we can hardly comment now. I thought it would be better but this is not a confirmed answer.

there are still many months left, many things are likely to happen that we do not know if it will support Bitcoin this year. So, just invest and hold and be excited. It is very difficult to get rid of the prediction but let's hope that it will do it. But having a bad start this year is something to be seen when making speculation

In December 2017 bitcoin hit its all time high price but in 1st and 2nd quarter of 2018 bitcoin continue to falling down and lots of problem faces in this year its too early to say that 2018 is a badyear for bitcoin, all of us hoping before uear end bitcoin price will pump up again and gain more volume.

surely everyone hopes this year will get better than 2017. but in fact bitcoin to date continues to decline with prices below 10k. but do not worry friends, the journey of 2018 is still running half a year, hopefully left the time in 2018, bitcoin will show improvement as late as 2017 yesterday. I will remain confident that bitcoin will certainly return to its peak again like last year. because only with a strong conviction that can make a person more optimistic to invest. which makes me think that bitcoin will be better in 2018, because I'm sure more and more newcomers want to learn and have bitcoin. when more and more buyers, automatic supply will decrease and will eventually make bitcoin more valuable.

This is what others predicted but the opposite way is happening. We still have half year to go and I think that's enough time for btc to recover. If not maybe next year or a little longer, year of halving. As always prediction during halving is we are having a rise.

Considering the actual size of the market and everything that is going on behind the scenes, i can say only one thing; no.
Maybe the price of everything will recover next year, but i do not think that it will happen this year

The end of this year will prove which one is better because at the moment, we have not even crossed June. Much to go still before making a complete and comprehensive comparison of both years. I am confident that bitcoin will go beyond 20,000 dollars this year and for that we need to support it. Without our iron support, it cannot do anything. I am sure everyone wants to make big money by Christmas.

I still do not see that this year is much better than the previous one. 2018 started with the market fall, and still the coins are in the stage of its recovery.

I agree that year is not over, we can see many great rises again, but from 1k to 20k is 20 times, can you imagine that price go to 150000 dollars until the end of the year? It's a bit too much, I know its possible with bitcoin, but but how big chances are for that?
I doubt that this year can be good like last one, I mean if I'm wrong it's better for my finances, I'm not against that to happen, just I believe that rise will come next year, or maybe even for 2 years, maybe 3. Halving is for 3 years, year after halving will be very good year, like 2017 was a year after halving.
Bitcoin surprised us so many times, that I don't know what to think anymore. I'm optimistic about price, but I'm not sure about timing, it can happen anytime.
