as long as there is still a bitcoin forum there must be altcoin due to something related closely but i do not know this forum lasts how long.
it all depends on altcoin a good project or a bad one.in theory, they do not depend on bitcoin at all

Altcoins surely will survive. In the future there will be more and more altcoins thank to ICO but we still need to do our responsibility by doing more research in order to get the real potential deal.

this will not happen. because when Altcoin begins to decline, the development team will attempt to raise their coins back. besides Bitcoin also they make a benchmark to measure their standards. with the rise of Bitcoin, Altcoin also always tried to catch up with the increase. so the estrangement between Altcoin and Bitcoin is not too great.
They have to stay and I see some very good and promising future for many of them, but you never know what will happen tomorrow, let alone in a month or a year.
I would like to say, increased demand is also possible to increase coins because BTC prices are always high. And despite its many rivals but that is no reason for altcoin to survive. And where market movements in bitcoin will significantly affect the altcoin market. But recently many of these coins have accumulated a larger investor base. Coins such as ETH and LITECOIN etc. so many are campaigning and increasing.
