Well, the BCH is now the 2nd top place in term of market cap. What a crazy world of cryptocurrency.

I do not think Bitcoin Cash can take over Ethereum because Ethereum is more flexible and useful. You have DAPPS and DAO which has revolutionized the blockchain for small business startups so I think ETH can be applied to more things than Bitcoin Cash which is just a fork of Bitcoin.

The pump will be ending sooner or later and I don't think that those volumes are sustainable for bitcoin cash anyway. For BCash to surpass ethereum ETH would need to keep falling for too long so I don't think that this is a viable outcome.

I can't wait until BCH is worth $25 and everyone is confused about what happened.
Ethereum is still good to invest than bitcoin cash. But I dont think bitcoin cash is comparable than ethereum, though we cannot tell its price of bch or until its peak price be reach. It's really volatile but whatever happen Im into eth.

Chances are it will not happen, as eth is better than bcc, and not only that eth is widely used ico project. So I think this is irrelevant if you compare appeal.

I think it's possible in long term.

Is already happening!

Bitcoin Cash has ready surpasses Ether...

Bitcoin cash is currently selling at $894 while Ether at $291

Just because BCH has a higher unit price does not mean it has overtaken ETH. When comparing coins, you should look at the market cap, not unit price. ETH has a $27 billion market cap right now, BCH has a $14 billion market cap.

When BCH crosses $1600 USD it looks like it will overtake ETH. Sooner if ETH drops even more.

in my opinion, maybe this will be temporary if BCH took over ETH because BCH still has weakness in the trade market because a lot of some people using it as an investment in the form of the bitcoin coins, but this may be the development of the bitcoin so BCH can increase the market capitalization in price competition.

it will be very very very unlikely........
Ethereum has the attention, has the industry giants backup (MS, Goldman, MasterCard, and so on), has a very good development team...

I think it's possible in long term.

I think it will not for now, it greatly depends on the community behind it and the community itself. But as the next HARD FORK comes I think this will be history coin.. I mean maybe good for collectors? That way it might get pumped in the future.

Everything is possible, it all depends on how the coin developer attract the investors and how will the investors react, but it is going to take a while to surpassed eth, eth is not just ordinary alt coin, it is the coin that has solid growth and there are a lot people invest on it, it is going to be a long and hard competition to beat down eth

I think it's possible in long term.

In digital currencies all possibilities can happen, there is a chance to get there, and there ETH also can be very expensive, maybe seen from how much supply of BCC coin, if BCC is very difficult to have then the price will rise rapidly like bitcoin.

Bitcoin Cash can be a competitor, if I make develops RSK , then there will be contacts akin to ETH, ETH  their problems and also can new fork on the POS and Work.

I think it's possible in long term.

It is of course possible but it all depends on how they market their own coins. The competition will depend on how the people will react and trust either BCH or ETH. As of now, I don't really have to choose between the two but ETH has been there for a while.

Not to go too far out on a limb, but it is absolutely possible.

Question is: Will we see another fork this year birthing yet another new crypto?

Although I don't support it, BCH seems to be much safer than Ethereum. But that does not mean that BCH will rise in market cap. Maybe Ethereum will drop below it.

Why is bch safer than eth?

Bch is not safer than any coin. It's just a basic clone or split of bitcoin that's all. No need to advertise or promote it here, I think. We now see a synthetic pump taking place right now on exchanges, especially bittrex.
