I think it will not die, it's just starting to get more popular. I can assume that in the near future it will be our new kind of money. And we all know that innovation is coming, this is it, this is our new and innovative kind of money. Less hassle of keeping it  and it's pretty handy. This is the future, and the future starts with this.

If you use blockchain, your transaction may take more times than previous record. I have got confirmed my unconfirmed transaction after 8 days. I don't think Bitcoin will not die soon.
Lol maybe due to the deep disappointment due to the lack of bitcoin as the confirmation time can make the user go and if it keeps on going the user can run out and bitcoin will die?

People who wait 8 days for the first confirmation don't want to pay appropriate fees and it solely depends on them whether to wait so long or not. Just recently I paid $2.5 fee and the transaction was confirmed in 20 minutes. Of course such fee is unacceptable for small transactions under $25 and for those transactions other cryptos will be used in the future most likely.

Bitcoin can never die but unless the scaling issues are solved it will remain a niche product and never go mainstream. We have the chance to revolutionize the world and I hope the miners listen.

If the current situation persists for too long, then I believe yes... Bitcoin will be damaged, and the small Bitcoin holders will get out of the boat first, not before paying a premium for their transaction fee to fiat, of course.
Yes if the problem in the transaction fee would not be fixed or solved soon then there is a possibility that bitcoin will be die. Because it has a big effect to every user. But I believe that they are going to fixed it as soon as possible so that bitcoin will still remain and can be used even in the future.

I used to believe that Bitcoin will die if these issues with high fees and delayed confirmations aren't solved any time sooner but I have a different perception now. With the overwhelming increase in patronage I doubt if Bitcoin will die any Sooner even if the challenges are not resolved because a lot of the new entrants are just interested in investing in Bitcoin so that they sell when the prices goes up; there are just a few that use it on the daily basis for micro payments and they are likely to encounter the delayed confirmations unlike those that have invested and holding.

I have noticed that, though people are aggrieved by the delays in transaction confirmation and high fees, they nevertheless remain stuck with Bitcoin, because on trying elsewhere - the altcoins, reality soon dawn on them that no place is actually like home. For a thousand and one times, doomsayer had foreseen the last days of Bitcoin, but would they ever learn, Bitcoin is answers to many question bothering man, anyone suggesting it is going to die now or in years to come, truly lacks understanding of what Bitcoin really is.

Bitcoin itself as a protocol is essentially un~killable in a way nothing else has been before.

Will it die....well its hard to say who's done more damage

GOX/Karples
Segwit vs BU
PBOC

Amazingly I would have to say the ranking of damage to BTC value by a ranking system
100 Segwit vs BU
10 GOX/Karlples
1 PBOC in fact on reflection they may have helped a lot by shakeing out the market a bit and tightening things up in CNY.

So Segwit vs BU have inmho been by far the most damageing to BTC value, and could yet kill it.

Don't believe me, we ETH has around 1/2 the value of BTC, which must be such an irritant to all the BTCr's and co who were scam coin on eth.

ETH could go another 2~10 times fairly easily, it has dev and will adopt dev to address issues via VB who will Shepard the ETH for long enough to get around the issues.

So many tokens are being releases some will work, big time.

So ETH could become the defacto digital gold. ETH has been smart by publicly down playing that while privately knowing it will be the defacto result or their strategy anyway.

The only thing that could upset eth, is if LISK gets out its SDK, and VM and devs increasingly go to lisk because they know javascript.

Meanwhile Segwit and BU jump up an down on the BTC crown as hard and often as possible.

I have never, ever seen such a clear and clean example of two irrational parties that unfortunately say as a race we suck.

A plague on both their houses.

I think Bitcoin will not die because you are not the only ones using Bitcoin in this world ... bitcon slightly slower payment that is only suitable for small payments should be no more likely to die

Yes, It'll not die because it is increasing everyday. Each day, hundreds of people are getting attracted by Bitcoins and adopting it. More people getting interested in Bitcoin means its value increases. So, If the value of something increases, it doesn't die unless if someone is trying to kill it.

As of now i think bitcoin is so stable and its hard it to die. The main reason why bitcoin die if no one use it and no one adopt bitcoin. But now bitcoin are many investor.

yes bitcoin will not die in future because there are large number of people who are using bitcoin also invest their money in bitcoin and many trader are trading in bitcoin and now bitcoin is more established as compare to past because bitcoin users are increased day by day and many countries will accept .

yes you are right bitcoin will not die in the future because the bitcoin users are increasing at a rapid rate and also the investors are increasing and the most important thing is that bitcoin is accepted by the few countries and i am sure gradually many countries in the future will also accept bitcoin when they know the benefits of bitcoin.

Japan already legalized bitcoin and I guess in the near future, more countries will follow Japan and that's why, in my prediction, bitcoin will stay longer.

I am with you and Yes, bitcoin will stay longer because you and me and the whole community are supporting it. Bitcoin will die if there is no one in this planet supports this crypto. But it is very far to happen, it continue to grow ever and reach even $2800 dollars in some US based exchanges.

As long as the world is not doomed, bitcoin will never die, we can see the development of bitcoin from year to year is increasing from different point of view. This can be a reference and the fact that bitcoin will never die
I agree if people say that bitcoin will not die in the near term. Because currently bitcoin is developing and bitcoin progress is very good. Of course bitcoin will not die anytime soon. But I do not agree if people say bitcoin will never die

Indeed, because of what have done by Japan many countries will be interested to legalize also the bitcoin in their country. We know that that Japan is one of the most successful country in the world  so that when this country accept bitcoin...bitcoins price is became enormous and if all countries will do the same there's no reason for bitcoin to die.

I may be one of those people in the forum that comes out and fights the people who're saying that Bitcoin is going to do a moonshot, takeover the banks, and so on and so forth with that narrative. But never do I think Bitcoin is just going to simply die randomly, there's way too much money involved in trading, exchanges, mining, gambling, and so on and so forth for this entire currency and ECONOMY for that matter to just simply die out and sizzle away.
As long as the world is not doomed, bitcoin will never die, we can see the development of bitcoin from year to year is increasing from different point of view. This can be a reference and the fact that bitcoin will never die

Though I will follow along with this guy, in a doomsday nuclear war type of think Bitcoin isn't going to survive and that's pretty understandable as nothing would survived, TEEHEE. I do feel as if an internet shutdown was to occur on a national scale Bitcoin would take a shit in regard to it's price and reliability for obvious reasons.

Better question.....what if Bitcoin never dies?  Shocked

What would that do to the price...
If Bitcoin never dies then the price of Bitcoin will just go up while people rely on the price of Bitcoin to give them some sort of dividend sort of like stocks that will allow people to purchase things while spending only a small portion of Bitcoin per week/month.
