To be honest I don't think that Bitcoin has any bearing on the fate of Facebook, or visa versa.

Who cares? Facebook is stupid anyway, not to mention a huge time waster.

Almost a billion people care. You might not be one of them. No one cares about you against a billion's opinion.

This statistic shows a timeline with the worldwide number of active Facebook users from 2008 to 2014. As of the third quarter of 2014, Facebook had 1.35 billion monthly active users. In the third quarter of 2012, the number of active Facebook users had surpassed 1 billion. Active users are those which have logged in to Facebook during the last 30 days. Furthermore, as of that quarter the social network had 1.12 billion mobile MAU.

What's up with these stupid questions lately, these two are diametraly different things tho only thing they have common is that they're connected to internet.
You can't compare cryptocurrency and social site, wtf.

Network Effect is a concept everyone in the Bitcoin world needs to read up on (specifically those in the alt coin world).

Nobody is killing Facebook anytime soon.

-B-

Yea, that's what Myspace thought, though I know you're going to say those can't be compared because Myspace wasn't even worth 1billion at the time and it didn't have the same dominance of the industry that FB has now and FB is worth more than a dozen billion, so the chance of another social network taking down FB is extremely slim because of the Network Effects(it's know by a large range of people, they've grown accustomed to using it, it has a large following, large funds, marketing, etc), but my response is: You're right, I just felt like adding in that.

Why do you want Bitcoin to kill social media?

Bitcoin is a separate technology to any of these media. They should coexist and work together to improve both technologies.

ChangeTip is a APP running on ALL of them, and they bringing value to Bitcoin and social media.  Wink

How does Bitcoin relate to Facebook
Facebook is a social commuting network While bitcoin is a cryptocurrency
Why would it affect Facebook, Google or any other sites like these???

Basing on this news: http://bit.ly/1yGPr3H

Synereo will be a lot to handle once it gets going. Do you think, Bitcoin could kill other social media giants like Google plus, Twitter and Facebook?
Or will Facebook finally integrates bitcoin to its platform? Smiley

What do you think?

The concept of synereo looks promising. But, they need to release a whitepaper to clearly describe the technical specification.

Well, its still on its starting phase. Smiley

Lets just wait for more features coming.

Facebook will kill itself with their marketing crap and forced upon promotions meddling with our timelines. The exodus has allready begun. Commerce will destroy social networks, Facebook, twitter, blogs, all the likes are being infested with koolaid and people will stop drinking it and the bubbles will burst once more.

no bitcoin will kill itself with a hardfork before any of that happens

so both will kill itself?
