There is an old saying in English. It goes like this: "too many cooks spoil the broth".

The same has happened with Altcoins. Before 2016, the altcoins numbered a few hundreds and most of them had enough room and space to grow. Now we have thousands of altcoins and for each niche domain we have dozens if not hundreds of altcoins. In the end, there is unhealthy competition between the alts (on top of the competition from BTC) and none of them gets traction.

According to me, BTC will always be the king in this market

Guess 95% chance that bitcoin will stay.

1. first mover advantage
2. everybody knows it -> over a decade old -> high trust
3. very popular
4. many programmers, biggest community

Even if there would be better coins, that doesn`t mean they will outrank bitcoin.
Popular and successful things are often not the best things.

I believe BTC will remain king of crytpo as it's the biggest token and major pair of all other coins which also has the best price on which all other tokens are varied against. I still done see any token coming near to BTC in price, value and trends. BTC has come to stay.

Once again we will win at Coinmarketcap, through increasing interest in Bitcoin, of course the volume of transactions will increase. Increasing demand (demand) is not in accordance with an adequate supply (stock / stock), this clearly makes the price of Bitcoin skyrocket. In addition, the maximum stock for Bitcoin is 21 million pieces, while the supply that is already available is more than 16.6 million. I think bitcoin will still be the king of the current and future electronic money market. In fact, Bitcoin's trading speed is very slow, transaction fees are expensive compared to other electronic money, but bitcoin is still the king, because it represents the blockchain technology and is the pioneer.

Yes of course.Bitcoin still remains the king of cryptocurrency we all know that bitcoin is a strong coin and has the potential to overcome all the transactions even in the bearish market.And bitcoin will reach ATH last 2017 than any other coin and no one can reach that high price and it is very difficult to other coin to dethrone btc in the future.

How many times would this kind of questions be asked on this platform? Sometimes I sit back and ask myself that does all this people asking this questions know what they are talking about? Although there are so many altcoins being created with good potentials but the mother coin is the mother coin. No coin can supercede it in this crypto space so far as BTC is alive.

totally agree, since 2013 the price of Bitcoin has bull and bear consistently but has never lost the price of Altcoin that continues to appear and circulate.

No doubt! Bitcoin will remain on top in crypto market and no other coin or libra can take that place, if we see CMC then we can see BTC dominance is increasing %65.1 even market is going down that means investors moving to bitcoin and I think BTC will reach ATH or higher this year. 

I think that bitcoin will remain in its leading place. Go to the coinmarketcap. Look what happened to the market 3-5-7 years ago. What were then altcoins. And who occupied what place.

I don't know why it's difficult to project when we already have 10 years of history to Bitcoin, and at best 4 years for a non big alt, in this 10 years we saw adoption and use for Bitcoin rise so high. Alts struggle to get that kind of adoption unless they're old or they're so big and can spend a lot of money in marketing.

Long term for sure Bitcoin is still dominant, maybe 50 years is a different picture but 10 years? Same story.

Also, the amount of money generated by a big project tends to be proportional to the quality and quantity of service they offer to the public. In the case of alts, it is not in a much higher way.

The reason why it happens like this is really simple, it is not matching Bitcoin's might in any of those two aspects and for that reason it won't have the same position in comparison with the others.

Absolutely, altcoins can grow and reach to high price but cannot defeat bitcoin in the process. With dominance rate of 60%, bitcoin is tough to beat.

I don't know if it will remain THE king of cryptos. I'm sure there will be other cryptos that may come close to matching it.

Definitely not one cryptocurrency can not achieve the results that Bitcoin has achieved for its existence.  This amount of capitalization and the maximum price level that Bitcoin had would not be available for any coin.  In addition, if BTC will be used for its intended purpose, then the relevance of other cryptocurrencies is lost.

Libra (if it is released someday) will not affect Bitcoin. It is going to be a stable coin, and it will by created not for making profits on it. As for BTC leadership, one day, it can give up, but not in the nearest 5-7 years.

In terms of market capitalisation definitely. However when it comes to the ease of use as a means of daily settlement its highly unlikely. More altcoins with faster speeds and zeros fees have been created. Basically it'll just be more of a store of wealth than a means of transacting.

Thats true.There are no currency that over throne the bitcoin.Not even the governments and companies controlled and supported the currency called "Libra"."LIBRA" the pride of Facebook. Whatever how many currencies came that will never get the place of bitcoin.Limited supply will soon make bitcoin in to the moon.Lets sit back,Lets wait and watch.

Of course Bitcoin will be the king of crypto.No matter what coin comes or goes Bitcoin will always remain number 1.We see dump and bump but we never see btc overthrown by any other coin.

This is the only way that bitcoin can go. This is the first cryptocurrency. With Bitcoin, it all started. The entire market is tied to bitcoin and bitcoin drives the cryptocurrency market. Therefore, bitcoin is the best investment in the future.
