Surely it is! Look from the very long time of dropping were a lot of people are speculating it's death already and with the banning and social media cut off it has proven to stay afloat and has shown a remarkable growth in price now!

People keep asking the same question; 'will bitcoin survive?' It's been almost a decade of the operation of bitcoin blockchain and its decentralized market. It's ridden on tough times and had to face daring bearish weathers. But as long as a decentralized coin like bitcoin stays its course as a digital store of value, the future of internet exploration and value exchange still glimmers.
Yes there is no need to ask this question again and again, I do not think that there is any doubt that bitcoin will very come to an end. I am hopeful that bitcoin will continue to survive for a long long time and not going to die.
The fact is that for example, I do not see any functionality associated with Bitcoin at all. Of course, if we consider the situation when Bitcoin takes the place of Fiat and will be used as a means of payment, then everything is clear. But I do not see other options.

Now there is a real test of loyalty to bitcoin. When the price was constantly growing, I read many reports that the price of bitcoin will be 50 and even 100 thousand dollars. Singing the praises of bitcoin. Now I see panic moods very often. Where are all benefits that you have listed? I feel like everything's gone, but a lot of people sold their beliefs for Fiat.
For those who are still in doubt about bitcoin, I myself was sometimes getting frustrated and disappointed with the price but whenever I am feeling down I am just reading news about Japan about their plans in this bitcoin and that relieved me at all, so just trust with this guys, If Japan can, why can't we.

So much and turn around the "bad" news that hit bitcoin some last time. Will bitcoin survive such a situation?

Or bitcoin just being a 'mtgox' debris a second time?

I am personally still very confident if bitcoin can reach a reasonable price by the end of this year. Even more fantastic in the next year.

You have another opinion, please share your opinion about bitcoin for the end of this year. Will it survive?

this is not the first time for bitcoin is in a bad situation and of course bitcoin will survive not only for the end of year but at least bitcoin will survive for 10 years again. You do not have to doubt bitcoin, this situation just temporary, I sure the market will recover in the mid of year.

Definitely. It happens like this all the time when btc falls. Considering that we're still way up from what the price was just a year ago. No reason why btc won't survive. It's already here and it's here to stay. If you don't want to believe that then sell all your btcs

I do not see why people even question themselves with the question of whether bitcoin is going to survive or not, bitcoin will survive this is
Can you explain why you think it will survive? I think it will not, because: btc failed as a payment system, it doesn't scale, LN is a joke, that will never work, less and less shops are offering it and the transactions are still declining, social media platforms are banning it and quite a few countries banned it already and it's doing a HORRIBLE job as a 'store of value'. I mean what's there to like? Why would anyone want to buy this crap? All those idiots here who are long 'because bitcoin always goes up' are getting KILLED.

The value of Bitcoin and other altcoins cannot  contineous moving on an upward direction as there is time for market correction and that is exactly what we are seeing at the moment and i strongly believe that Bitcoin will surely survive the current downward trend.

That's been already the question of folks since bitcoin started 10 years ago. But instead, it go strong and succeeded against all odds. So there's no question if it will always survive even over a hundred years.

Even if the market cap of bitcoin is getting lower and the price is now below 7000 I do not see why people even question themselves with the question of whether bitcoin is going to survive or not, bitcoin will survive this is just one of those times where bitcoin is going down you can clearly see it if you take the time to study the past trading history of bitcoin so take this time as an opportunity to save money and buy more bitcoin and get ready for the next pump in the market.
The problem is that there are few people who can afford to buy bitcoin now. Rich people do this, but they're probably losing confidence in bitcoin right now. Governments have taken serious steps to regulate the turnover of cryptocurrency. It might push the rich. Everyone who shouts that the legalization of bitcoin by the government is good he digs the grave of bitcoin.

I think you made this thread when bitcoin was just hovering around $7500-$8000 levels, but as you can see we still survived and even get above $8000 for several days and make a good 3 day run. However, we are back to this situation again. The Mt. Gox debris will not happened, not this year because there are really so much at stake as compare as before. Also we have a lot of exchanges today, not just Mt. Gox that's why the hack has put a significant dent on the market and we have witness almost a year of bear market. What's happening is just another series of test, government's relentless offensive, central banks FUD, social media banning ICO and crypto ads. But at the end of the day, bitcoin will overwhelm everything and I still think that we will not end this year without all-time-highs.

Well said.
2014 was a completely different situation. Mt.Gox was the giant where 75% of all trading activity happened. And back then a total collapse and death of Bitcoin was definitely possible. But since then many things have changed and the crypto market have made some big progress.
However I tend to disagree with your opinion of this year's price. Imo we still try find a solid bottom for more consolidation. That's why I believe another ATH, so a price above $20k is not very likely imo. We will see more washouts. And after that it's a game of patience before the big guys will let us moving up again.
The only thing I could imagine to make difference here and end the bear market immediately would a Bitcoin ETF approval or something similar.

Speaking of ETF, we have seen that just last January the idea was immediately shoot down by no less than Dalia Blass, the director of the investment management division at the Securities and Exchange Commission (https://www.sec.gov/divisions/investment/noaction/2018/cryptocurrency-011818.htm). So I don't know if we can still get things done and somewhat push the price to bounce back immediately. But it looks like that we found ally in CBoE, (https://coinjournal.net/cboe-letter-to-sec-argues-industry-can-support-cryptocurrency-etfs/). So the doors in not that totally closed and we may still have some chances to really get the market to at least $20000 or new all-time-high as I'm pointing.

If you wait till the end of year, maybe anything will be happened. But i think the end of year is a much more time for wait. According to that you should think another think that how you increase your profit from anotherway.
It seems to me that today it is better for us to work and not pay too much attention to the pulse of currencies. It is better to collect all the earned coins in your purses, And in case of raising the market from the bottom, We will really see our revenues.

yes, it is better to collect what we earning and prepare for the next things that will happen. I am sure that bitcoin will survive and will come back with the highest price so we need to be ready for selling a lot of bitcoin. we don't need to worry about this and I think that we can use this chance to make the profit like other people because the price still going up and down so there is a gap of the price that we can use to make money.
