So much and turn around the "bad" news that hit bitcoin some last time. Will bitcoin survive such a situation?

Or bitcoin just being a 'mtgox' debris a second time?

I am personally still very confident if bitcoin can reach a reasonable price by the end of this year. Even more fantastic in the next year.

You have another opinion, please share your opinion about bitcoin for the end of this year. Will it survive?

do not you see bitcoin still has a great value even though it has dropped from half its value. this shows bitcoin still survive and try to grow back. although it is currently very difficult to predict the market in addition to some of the prohibitive factors that are becoming increasingly declining market growth. this phenomenon is very familiar in the crypto world, and this has happened for so many times. then rest assured the bitcoin will survive

I think you made this thread when bitcoin was just hovering around $7500-$8000 levels, but as you can see we still survived and even get above $8000 for several days and make a good 3 day run. However, we are back to this situation again. The Mt. Gox debris will not happened, not this year because there are really so much at stake as compare as before. Also we have a lot of exchanges today, not just Mt. Gox that's why the hack has put a significant dent on the market and we have witness almost a year of bear market. What's happening is just another series of test, government's relentless offensive, central banks FUD, social media banning ICO and crypto ads. But at the end of the day, bitcoin will overwhelm everything and I still think that we will not end this year without all-time-highs.

Well said.
2014 was a completely different situation. Mt.Gox was the giant where 75% of all trading activity happened. And back then a total collapse and death of Bitcoin was definitely possible. But since then many things have changed and the crypto market have made some big progress.
However I tend to disagree with your opinion of this year's price. Imo we still try find a solid bottom for more consolidation. That's why I believe another ATH, so a price above $20k is not very likely imo. We will see more washouts. And after that it's a game of patience before the big guys will let us moving up again.
The only thing I could imagine to make difference here and end the bear market immediately would a Bitcoin ETF approval or something similar.

and I'm sure that bitcoin will grow in the future

wow, you are very visible Keep your fingers on the pulse, I also think bitcoin will last long, to become the world currency in the future. much of this negative news is just a small hitch for bitcoin. Let's assume this is a process to success in the future. bitcoin will go Ahead to its safest point.

As we can take a look of bitcoin historical records since from the start, its price today is multiplied so many times and there is much worst happening before than if we experience now a days. Yes,  bitcoin surely survived with these and there will be a good time coming into the entire crypto market.

Yes i believe so., bitcoin is getting stronger and tougher as it holds the market even with all the backlashing it gets from government and the banks. They are intimedating the investors hoping that bitcoin will die soon. But this will only lead to people to think better and understanding that the government are just sucking us up for their personal agendas.

IF the aim of mtgox is to kill bitcoin by dumping their holding then they are on a longthing as no one can kill bitcoin and days are coming when they sell all that they have and from there they will loses the majority of holding that they have been enjoying. Bitcoin has a great potential for survival and we should not lose hope for future that has not come.
who that this man throw a huge amount of Bitcoin into the market and plans to do it further, very badly and very negatively this whole situation affects the entire crypto-currency market. But nevertheless, there is no demand for Bitcoin, and only real demand can correct the situation with Bitcoin pricing.

Users themselves can make bitcoin last until now, maybe for the future there are more users using bitcoin and get a profit, yes it will happen. where much news is now a country that wants to adopt bitcoin because it has a lot of good potential in the future, looks good and this is what bitcoin is expecting. Take with a grain of salt.

The truth is that bitcoin is not moving much as it did before, i do not know why this is really happening, but in my opinion, bitcoin will always survive, at least, for now..

But it is very sad to see that the price is always going  down.
One sentence I always use for stuffs like this; 'EVERYDAY IS NOT CHRISTMAS'… We have had occasions like this before where bitcoin did not really have any much movement for months and even years, so the fact that we had a bull run most of last year does not mean we will end up having the same thing this year. It is what it is, and anything can still happen as no one knows, so it is not like I am discarding any possibilities, but we should accept whatever comes, rather than thinking it is a problem. It is market and that is how it is.

Of course, it will definitely survive this dump is just temporarily perhpas it is because of the correction that is why it has a cheap price. But don't be bothered, bitcoin will rise up again not for now but soon. Bitcoin was unpredictable yet, powerful as long as we are here to support it will definitely rise up again. Every day passes bitcoin becoming more popular and the demand is going high so there's no doubt it will come back just be patient.

It is currently not the question of whether Bitcoin will survive or not for is already a surviver of all attacks both from government and private institutions all over the world  and so shall it  continue to survive all the negative comments about its existence.
People will always have something to say when the market is down like it is the end of the world already and would rather just stick with the opinion of some bears who are always trying to spread FUD in the market to make their decisions. Bears are always looking for the best price to buy, but they know for sure in their own mind that, they would not want a situation where the market would get drained so badly.

I remember so many things were said last year, but here we are, not even close to the middle of last year's value. Like you said, bitcoin is already a survivor and nothing can change that.

I truly believe on bitcoin potential, i don't think that it will end with in this year. As long as there are still using bitcoin as a method of payment or an investment plan, there's no reason to stop bitcoin from surviving. And i truly believe that bitcoin can recovers of its market value before this year ends.

Bitcoin has survived last ~9 years then why not for another 10 years. Fundamentals are stronger and need of such an innovation is very high then obviously bitcoin will survive regardless of whatever extreme fluctuations bitcoin may have.

I don't think anyone is going to challenge that point, that Bitcoin will go on. Still, we should remember about two things. First, despite what many people would love to think and see, Bitcoin's price won't rise indefinitely and infinitely since there is a limit to its growth, even a speculative one. And, second, many won't quite like what they are going to see. If we strip Bitcoin of speculation, I'm afraid, there will be nothing much left, in terms of price as well. Right now, we are probably moving to its fair price determined by its real life utility.

Define 'will bitcoin survive'. Does that mean will miners still be hashing blocks? Does it mean a certain price? Whats a "reasonable price"? I think a reasonable price would be around $1,000 and would be fantastic considering it just spent a few years around $300

Instead I would argue that bitcoin will persist and will find a bright spot, which is now a lot of positive news that I think is very plausible and there will be countries considering bitcoin progress now, it will look good where all state officials will set the bitcoin and apply rules that do not contrary to our rights, will automatically strengthen the bitcoin in terms of investment and economic aspects for the country.
Yes, we have been here before and against all odds, it usually ends up coming back very strong and even stronger than before. Bitcoin has really shown great strength and most especially some pretty good level of persistence and with that, I want to believe there is really nothing much to worry about. We just have to be patient, wait for the market to get back on its feet and see where we go.

The truth is that bitcoin is not moving much as it did before, i do not know why this is really happening, but in my opinion, bitcoin will always survive, at least, for now..

It is a survivor from zero value in the market 9 years ago when generally l people are scared and skiptical about it up to now that it rich to it's value at the present times. It will fall and rise it is always like that before but it will definitely be sustainable by it's own because people are getting to understand how effective and useful it is to our daily living.
