I think there is a big chance for that considering that the previous ATH was reached after btc quite literally lost more than 80% of its value,
learning from that btc definitely have the chance of reaching new level of ATH since the current correction of btc isn't as significant as it was before btc reaches $60k, though at the end of the day, all these are just speculation until it truly happened.

I'm sure everyone believes that the price of bitcoin will reach $100k, the problem is when that price will occur, many people believe that 2022 will experience a trend every 4 years i.e. the market will be red and we can say that the prediction is correct, and I sure the price of $100k can be reached a maximum of 2 years from now.
This is already within our reach considering the ATH of Bitcoin, the real question here is when.
Many are still bullish and believes that Bitcoin can survive this bear market, that includes me though I can’t wait for that price to happen because if I see opportunity to sell, I’ll take the profit. This may take time, so if you are not a long term hodler, better to sell on your target price and commit with that.

Arguably, the most significant driver of Bitcoin value is its future price speculation. There have been several speculations of BTC price by top crypto influencers, while some have come to pass but it appears that the 100k price milestone appears elusive.

The $60k prediction came to pass but BTC has since lost more than 65% of its ATH price.

Do you think that BTC will ever rise to and above 100k in the near future? Wil it be before or after the next Bitcoin halving or this price would never come?

What's your opinion?
I totally agree on that but first this has to be on focused specific Bitcoin board and not on the altcoin discussion board. Will the hope might have been shattered by this bear market but overall the sentiment may change when get back to the bullishness once again and 100k is possible.

Probably should post this in bitcoin and not altcoin speculation but in general yeah.  I don't think anyone doesn't see 100k in bitcoins future.  So it lost a significant value.  Go look at all past rises and falls.  It always comes out significantly higher than the last time.  My guess is next run floats bitcoin up to 200-300k.

I do agree that we will see 100k, its not going to be a shock. But we are all disagreeing on the time, its going to be different times for sure. I think its obvious that we are seeing it as "next halving" by most people, but I do not think that its going to be that clear cut, maybe it could be lower, maybe it will be later? Who knows? At the end of the day we have seen it reach to a level where its 100k even before the year ends, who knows? I hope that we will see this happen and it will be quick, but that doesn't mean that we shouldn't be shocked about it but this doesn't mean that we shouldn't be shocked if it doesn't happen neither.

Time will tell it's $100k, but BTC has some hurdles to work through before we get there. Support infrastructure has a long way to go before it can support such mainstream use. Is it possible? Yes. Will it happen? This is anyone's guess at this point. Are other alt-coins more likely to serve as better speculative items in the near future? Maybe, but BTC is still king of kings for now, so consider diversifying your holdings if you're looking for long-term growth potential.

It won't come until the halving happens, we just hit ATH in Nov 2021 so don't expect another bull season to happen this year or 2023. Historically, down cycles have typically lasted 3 to 4 years, $100k goal isn't too hard with bitcoin but everything takes time. along with that we are entering a recession so it is very likely that bitcoin will fall very deeply before rising again. The market will recover based on the bitcoin halving and the world economic situation.

Any types of speculation would be nothing if not because of the people that make an action of buying and selling. That was the one that drives the price. The main reason why 100k is so elusive is because it wasn't a small amount.

You can't just expect that btc will continue to rise on that amount once it start moving upwards but there is a process here that needs to be followed and that is once we reached every new ath, the price will go down for a while before it will move up again hitting another ath. If 100k won't be achieved before halving then after halving we can easily get it, since halving is said to bring a positive impact to the price of btc.

I'm sure btc will reach $100k soon, maybe it will take at least a year from the current price, if you look at the trend in the market maybe the highest price that will occur in 2022 is around $55k, this is because there are many speculators who immediately sell when the price rises making prices difficult to skyrocket.

I don't think it's coming anytime soon, but as you're talking about it, the future could be If someone has combed through BTC from $1000 to now, it is only a matter of time before it sets the bar higher. I'm not a person who likes to go too deep into what people think is important to BTC, but in my experience, the opportunity it brings to things that someone already believes in and wants will definitely be done. My expectation is not what the price will be in the future when I realize that it will go up long term, and so I will hold more instead of thinking about selling for a higher price Smiley

Of course. I am very positive we will experience that but for me, it will take a lot of time to get there. No one can tell when. I am just positive for the long term of Bitcoin. Especially the Bitcoin block halving event of Bitcoin which really important event to the Bitcoin market.
With the past years passed by, the percentage of how Bitcoin pumped, it's really huge and just a proof we will get to that numbers in the future.

Considering the percentage of global adoption so far, there is a huge tendency that the price of Bitcoin will reach $100k or go beyond that.  We have also seen the effect of Bitcoin halving and when a FOMO takes place in the market.  Aside from that, institution keeps on flocking into the Bitcoin industry thus, creating a much larger range of demand.

What's your opinion?

I do think Bitcoin at $100k is feasible but we have to wait some years for that to happen.

Nothing impossible with bitcoin. Any time people have questioned about whether bitcoin can reach even the higher all time high from time to the time but bitcoin is always answering such question by reaching the higher rate than the previous ATH. BTC will even surpass 100k if the market will be starting to bullish and block production will become even smaller due to the halving. This will be happening in the next decade. Im sure that bitcoin can reach such target.
Bitcoin is not an inflation hedge. Even bitcoin was loosing due to the various reasons can make the total supply of bitcoin will be decreasing as well. No doubt 100k may possible in the future.

~snip~

and also we have already reached almost 70k last year so what could be the hindrance breaking 100k in the coming years?

or maybe in the next year it will happen? so what could be the situation that bitcoin will never reach?
I don't know, but several cycles have proven that BTC price movements are unpredictable. But reaching $100K is possible. But when, you will never know. So far the decline in the price of BTC is still reasonable. This is similar to 2018 after the halving. This year is also similar, but there are slight differences due to poor macro-financial conditions. I still believe that BTC still has confidence and is capable of returning to ATH.

Time can tell, and it’s really hard to predict but if you really believe in the technology if cryptocurrency and with Bitcoin, then better to invest now. $100k seems the next goal for the peak, and I’m confident that in the next 5 years, we can achieve that price maybe we just need to be more patient for now as we are still facing a lot of problem. Once the market started to become ok, then BTC will surely have that peak again.

BTC was once below $1 and during that period many thought it will never reach $10 but see what btc is trading at today, btc went through a lot of price volatility to get to its previous ath so yes it will get to $100 but don't expect it to have overnight or in the next bull run.
Your role here is to buy what btc you can afford and hold, it is the best way to earn good returns,

This can be hit in due time just like a question below if we can still go beyond $50k.
I’m very optimistic with BTC, I know once the recovery started BTC will become more unstoppable and maybe that $100k will become the support level in the future. We believe in cryptocurrency, and everything here is possible to happen so stay focus with your goal, set up your target price now.

A long time ago, people are questioned.

Can we hit more than 20,000$ (From our last all-time high) and the reality after the halving bitcoin we can reached 60,000$. IMO, there always has some chance we can reach the number. Crypto market is still small comparing to wall-streat maybe only around 1%

There a lot potential.
This didn't happened a long back. During the previous bull market this was the discussion. The price of bitcoin was around $3000. By the time speculations were to reach $5000. Even the prediction of $8000 - $10k were criticised. This is the reality of people's mind, and the market outlawed reaching close to $20k which is the ath by that time.
