Well prediction is a hit or miss, we really don't know what is going to happen until we reaches that point.  One famous speculation is that the price of bitcoin is projected to hit $100k in December last year, unfortunately, after hitting the $69k mark, everyone thought that we can still go up. But there is a huge sell-off and then we enter the dreaded bear market. So maybe in the next bull run we will try and attempt to hit $100k, and chances are we might do it this time.
Judging from the current bitcoin price movement which is experiencing a bit of pressure to move up after experiencing a very deep correction then I would not say that the bitcoin price could reach $100k in a short time, although I believe bitcoin can reach that high but in the current state I think it will take a bit longer for bitcoin and hopefully after the halving day happens it can have an impact on bitcoin price going up and touching $100k.

I've got a feeling that BTC is going to pump soon. Some facts back that up, like the fact that on the carts we bottomed and the US will pump the market before mid-term elections, which will also pump BTC. They have an anti-inflation inflationary bill of half a trillion dollars about to be released. There may even be more stimulus checks. Some altcoins have already started pumping. ICP is already up 25% over the last week for example. Most other major alts are up at least 10%.
I hope August is the beginning of a good month for price pumps in the market because last July, bitcoin went up by 17% even though this still can't be said to be something positive because we are still careful whether it will be bullish or bearish? pumps or dumps?

agree with you, August-September is something I prepared to buy some coins before November in my opinion is a good time. throughout history november has been the forthcoming recovery of the altcoins market, it's not a full recovery but a good month in my opinion is early november. This is just research that was done independently

In theory, that's true of what the past has shown us. But this year, September is the time when the Fed raises interest rates for the 3rd time of the year, many people expect the USD to have a sudden spike in the near future. USD continues to rise will be detrimental to bitcoin and other asset classes. Therefore, we should be very cautious with unexpected developments this year, not rush to speculate like every year.

I have never been pessimistic about the price of bitcoin, if there is a prediction that maybe now we say impossible but it has often happened, when the 2018 price was below $5k from the 2017 ATH position of $19k many were pessimistic but many were optimistic that the price would skyrocketed again, and I don't think $100k is a hard thing to achieve.

your job is if you also believe in bitcoin like us, then focus on collecting a lot of bitcoin when bitcoin is being heavily discounted, when the bitcoin price reaches 100k $ you will regret it if you don't buy from now
Thats true. It is uncertain on when will the price might start to consistently increase. Thus instead of asking questions that anyone cant accurately answer, much better to focus on buying Bitcoin, but that is if you believe the price can go higher in the future. Buy then hold, forget for a while the market, come back after few months and see if there's a changes.
Regarding the price of Bitcoin I personally believe in the future it will skyrocket,
indeed it all takes time and patience so not everyone can survive with it,
invest Bitcoin for the long term it will be profitable

not only does this apply to bitcoin, but to be honest, there will never be an investment that can provide a quick profit, if it is just gambling, in which you can win fast and lose fast

when you decide to invest in a project if it is not bitcoin, you need to do thorough research first so that you do not have to make a wrong decision, then you should also know that
to succeed or create real value, real profit, you need time
therefore, patience is an important key in investing

Arguably, the most significant driver of Bitcoin value is its future price speculation. There have been several speculations of BTC price by top crypto influencers, while some have come to pass but it appears that the 100k price milestone appears elusive.

The $60k prediction came to pass but BTC has since lost more than 65% of its ATH price.

Do you think that BTC will ever rise to and above 100k in the near future? Wil it be before or after the next Bitcoin halving or this price would never come?

What's your opinion?
Initially I predicted the same thing at yesterday's Bitcoin Halving, Bitcoin will reach $100 thousand USD, This prediction is based on the historical increase in Bitcoin prices in the previous Halving period. It turns out that this prediction is wrong because Bitcoin has not reached $100 thousand USD so far.
But I'm still Optimistic that Bitcoin will reach $100,000 USD after the next Halving, Or maybe it will be faster because the majority of people's predictions have been the same, When the majority of people have the same predictions, then usually the situation will be different.
So while there is an opportunity to buy at a low price, there is no need to wait for the price to be cheaper.

all of us here are very optimistic that bitcoin will hit $100k in the future, but obviously not this year
only time will tell you exactly when bitcoin will hit $100k,

We do have some topics on this forum or in overall market sayings that month of August is a ghost month
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ghost-month-4906970

Therefore, i dont really believe that much that there would be some good pumps or increase for this month, although it doesnt really assure
that these kind of sentiments do really affect crypto market but it would be better if you dont make yourself expect these things to be that accurate most of the time.
if we look at the history of August in previous years we deserve to say this month is a ghost month because from 2009 to 2020 more markets are decorated with red and it is too early if bitcoin wants to recover but we must be able to take the opportunity to increase our assets if there is a decline again

I think Bitcoin can still experience another dump, because the war continues, this time between China and Taiwan,
of course we can see how the market will react in the future, learning from yesterday when Bitcoin also experienced a severe dump when Russia and Ukraine went to war,
better wait only in 2023, there is a possibility that 2023 will be the peak of the bear market

As price is low, I am also trying to fill my portfolio. It is good time to fill our portfolio at lower price and I hope we can get good amount of return in the november. It is a chance that we should not miss out.

The $100k target is possible with bitcoin, but we cannot expect that to happen in the near future. I also agree with many people's predictions that it will only happen after the halving.

We hit ATH in november 2021, so this year is a bearish year not too surprising, given bitcoin's bear cycle, it will take us 4 years to return to another bull season.

We have gone wild this whole year , so I  dont think August will be different from the previous months , or maybe we will be seeing some good move in the late months , at least November to December?
usually those months is what makes market climb before dumping again the early next year?
Almost gone more than one year with bitcoin price still drop, drastically when we got bitcoin under $20,000 last several weeks ago. I think keep not really any different situation and price of bitcoin on August, although still have hope bitcoin can reach above $40,000 but looks little possibility. Every time when bitcoin get reaching to higher price show with bad news suddenly and make bitcoin get back drop and down to lower price. Will need long time get recovery and back to higher price again after going dump and slowly bitcoin price reach up.

Bitcoin is still a favorite investment instrument for institutions, especially with the switch from ETH PoW to PoS,
of course Bitcoin will be even more attractive to miners, I am sure many Ethereum miners will also switch to Bitcoin,
and this will make Bitcoin better and demand will also increase. more and more, $100k? still very achievable, just wait and HOLD

Roll Eyes

Does it really matter?

When I look at BTC in my wallet I see something special. I get a fuzzy feeling inside that I have possession of something great, and that will hopefully be worth holding on to in the long run.

Hope it does though, haha!
Yeah good point mate , What matters is how long we wanna hold and how much we wanted to reach ,

it is all that matters because if is proven to grow over the years but of course there is no specification to when this to happen.

just let the coin sits in your wallet and let time tells you when to withdraw.

The best choice when a bearish is Hold and buying more, when filling the wallet is now because if the market rising then we will get a big profit, do not be pessimistic about the performance of cryptocurrencies because it has proven to be the most promising investment choice in the current century.
