Because most of my friends believe that BTC reached 100,000 US dollars in December, so I want to discuss whether this is true Grin
You already has your answer mate , we are more than a week before December ends and yet what we have now?

For me i will answer you frankly , NO WE WILL NOT MAKE IT TO 100k this year.

and even if next year i doubt this will happen that is also why i will keep my holdings for more years and will never expect high this year and the next.
that's pretty self explanatory. the current state of which retaliated directly. I think, the current price of $100k is still unattainable. in fact, if the end of the year ends up being over $55k or $60k, that's already very good. what's more, if we start 2022 at that price, chances are, we can go back to discussing, and speculating that bitcoin price could possibly reach $100k or not.
Yet even what we said here or there the problem is the possibilities of bitcoin reaching that high is likely not going to happen this year , we have 2021
that made it really high but what about 2022?
when there are lot of negative things happening specially now that there are a crisis because of the War in which brings the OIL price really that high.
Because most of my friends believe that BTC reached 100,000 US dollars in December, so I want to discuss whether this is true Grin
December 2021 has passed, the predicted $100k bitcoin price at the end of December did not happen. Entering the beginning of 2022 until now the price of bitcoin is still experiencing a decline in price to the level of $ 40k in the last few weeks. In my opinion, bitcoin has to hit $55k price first to create positive sentiment to confirm that bitcoin is back on a bullish trend to hit its $100k price target in Q2 this year.
2021 or 2022, this will never happen that is the reality of market now.

December's performance was still in the price consolidation phase, therefore the price of bitcoin could not break through the $100,000 price level at the end of this year. even though the rest of the year is only a few days away the bitcoin price is still struggling to get back to the $60k level.
That's what I thought too, it may not have reached what many expected, it's still higher than the last year so it's not that bad plus the 100k by the end of the year was a prediction that just got a great hype around it that they were able to circulate among the people. Maybe next year we might reach that and if not then we just have to wait I guess.

True. Everyboy was expecting ( including PlanB who is a prominent analyst and his most of predictions came true in the  past)   Bitcoin to reach 100K by the end of 2021 but unfortunately it didn't happen. We are in 2022 now and January was also not good but now in February, the Bitcoin is showing god upward momentum and hopefully, Bitcoin will break 50K by the month end.

And now it's 2022 the bitcoin price is still struggling in the 60-50k range. It's been a disappointing year end for me. I hope by the end of the year it will break through 100k like the rumors circulating. I hope 2022 will be a better year than 2021 although 2021 can't be a bad year because we reached Ath twice.
the end of the year has passed and it is now the beginning of 2022, and right now bitcoin is in a bearish phase and bitcoin is struggling not to fall below $40k. in early 2021 bitcoin entered a bullish phase and in early 2022 bitcoin entered a bearish phase. it is most likely that bitcoin price movements in 2022 are the opposite of 2021, if towards the end of 2021 bitcoin enters a bear phase it is most likely that towards the end of 2022 bitcoin will enter a bullish phase.

Looks like you have to update the topic December 2021, your friend failed to predict the price of Bitcoin at the level of $100k, you have to ask your friend again in December 2022 what is the price of Bitcoin $100k, $150k or $200k.

obviously not going to happen and currently the price is at $47,062.55 of course what must be maintained is not to let bitcoin fall below $40K because it will obviously make it difficult to increase again and it will take quite a long time. currently the price of bitcoin is quite stable and we hope that what is done is to be able to do the latest ATH to at least break $70K first. if indeed the events in 2021 will be the same as this year, then at the beginning of the next month there will be an increase, we are waiting for it.

The timeline that OP have had set is already passed, and we are now on the second day of 2022, and thus, it may disappointments us but bitcoin didn't make it and failed to reach another ATH of $100,000, so yeah obviously this not happened. We may not sure when will bitcoin going to break it's previous record but I am very optimistic that this year will be a great year for bitcoin and crypto platform like it was happened last year.

A good way to attract newcomers to invest, it's just prediction and not a fact that it will break that value, if not this year maybe the following or the next one, as long as there are people who continue supporting this industry, that amount is very possible to achieved. We should move forward and keep holding. If you can't do it with bulk, little by little will do.

December was ended. Now, it's safe to say or to answer this OP's question with a big "NO"

With Hours before the end of 2021 happens , i think the answer is enough to make this thread closed by Moderators as it clearly says "NO Bitcoin will Never Reach 100$k thi December"
I hate to disappoint all of the Bullish but this is what it is.

Actually will be reporting this thread tomorrow to be closed as this only brings frustrations to those who had been trapped waiting for that 6 digits figures to be reached.
sorry guys but this is not enough time for the great hype.
maybe in the following years? but 1 thing is certain that bitcoin will reach that high in right time.

Now we are staying at the last stage only one week left. So I think it is very difficult to reach bitcoin price at $100000. But now we will see the upward trend mood of Bitcoin regularly. Hopefully next year we will see expected bull market.
now no one expects the bitcoin price to reach $100k by the end of the year because everyone knows that is impossible, moreover the bitcoin price is currently trending down. I think the bull market that many people expect is still very possible in 2022 if prices are able to recover quickly like in the middle of 2021.

Expect the unexpected because its always been like this one where prices couldnt really predicted on what would happen even though last months of the year does impose those kind of impression on where the price could shoot up into those high levels of prices which had been always a presumption whenever we do hit these final months of the year because this is on where
the times where bull run do usually happens but its not always an assurance because look at on where we now on which the price hadnt really make out
some significant move.

You think that Bitcoin will surpass $50,000 by January 1 2022? Hard to believe that Bitcoin wont bounce immediately back as soon its price will near $50,000. I would be happy if Bitcoin passes that. Maybe I am a pessimist, but I am preparing for either another big price drop, either for ball bouncing effect, when all gains during one day, will be lost next day. Maybe this is due to not having a Christmas mood. I am just worried about the rising amount of covid cases and the whole situation with it. We are about to enter a third year of pandemic and solution from it is not even close. Dont know how much resources are left in people and economics, and when another crisis starts.
As for now, there's a bigger chance for bitcoin to hit $50k than $100k.

Prior to the huge dump, we were so optimistic that bitcoin will hit $100k before the year will end and looks like it's not even realistic now. What I'm saying is bitcoin will undergo some correction because starting the last quarter of last year it's already been pumping and bull run will eventually be over to give way to the long correction and it looks like it's happening now already.

apart from the world crisis we didn't predict it I think it's not that difficult for Bitcoin to reach 50k price in early january, bitcoin price is currently 48k and big movements always occur every day reaching 1-2k, isn't that very close to 50k.
this thread was created last month and discusses the speculation that bitcoin prices in december will be able to reach 100k, of course that won't be possible because we are currently at the end of the month with only a few days left.

as the End year coming fast , today we will mark a 8 days journey for Bitcoin to reach this target but having said that the market shows resistance even in the Middle of the desire amount?

now  even 50k is unattainable so why would we expect the 100k  when even the half of it is impossible to reach now?

Let us accept this reality that 2022 will be the year and not this 2021.
This thread was created on October 11th where most people still have hope of seeing $100k by the end of the year. But now we are in the last 10 days of 2021 where we are increasingly convinced that $100K will be very difficult to achieve after the correction over the past month.

I don't think $50K is that hard even if it's in the countdown to the end of the year. It just takes a little extra patience for anyone who still believes in the potential price of bitcoin, but if it's ATH then I think it's still too difficult. We still have hope in early 2022, so be a little patient now.

Only a few more days and by assessment the value are not moving that hard to bounce back stronger, this current market still unpredictable if in anyhow it turned and bring back the barrier to $55K-$60K and yes that's the good time again to open this up in the next following quarter of 2022.

Unless there's a group of big whales who will push the price high before the end of this year  Roll Eyes Grin

We really can't conclude as crypto always has a big surprise!
