A cryptocurrency is a digital currency that is created and managed through the use of advanced encryption techniques known as cryptography. Cryptocurrency made the leap from being an academic concept to (virtual) reality with the creation of Bitcoin in 2009.1 While Bitcoin attracted a growing following in subsequent years, it captured significant investor and media attention in April 2013 when it peaked at a record $266 per bitcoin after surging 10-fold in the preceding two months.

Though Some economic analysts predict a big change in crypto in forthcoming as institutional money.

Bitcoin will never be zero. There will come a time when Bitcoin will be the main currency of the world. One day the world will be ruled by Bitcoin. So there is no reason to worry. You can freely invest in Bitcoin. Just  My Opinion .
It won't go to zero but, it's good to be considered as the main currency but there are doubts that it will happen. Bitcoin is used as an alternative payment and if the time comes that dollars are actually not being used by the world anymore then bitcoin can be the substitute.
But it's going to be a long way to go for bitcoin to be like that.

I think at this moment this is not possible. The total marketcap of crypto is very big at this moment. And now many government bodies now approved crypto. Many ofnthem working on it. Many big tech giants are entering this field. So it's kind of impossible now to break the market. I think many of the individual altcoins could go to zero. But the whole market, no it's not possible in any way.

I personally don't see crytocurrency going to zero in the near future. Crytocurrency has withstood the test of time and despite the fact that there has been several challenges, the industry has been Striving and getting larger. The government has never supported cryptocurrency and its been said to be a harbour for miscreants, this hasn't changed the fact that cryptocurrency is still Striving.

Precisely because crypto will go to zero, Vitalik implements Ethereum 2.0 now) It may ever happen, everything ends one day, but hopefully not in our lives.
Does that mean you believe that Crypto will be Zero? So, if crypto really becomes zero, why is Vitalik implementing Ethereum 2.0 now? Because Ethereum 2.0 is also part of Crypto, you should think more logically about this.  Grin

It becomes apparent speculation to suggest bitcoin or "crypto" will hit zero, as much as suggesting it will be $55,000 this year. We are seeing the birth of a technological revolution and speculation is all we have, for certainty is a fools game. Coins like Dash, Monero, Zcash, Ethereum, Bitcoin and many more are all real use case coins with well respected development teams.

It is also foolish to believe Bitcoin as the one true currency, competition is healthy in the crypto space and breeds future innovation, we need multiple platforms for choice on the open market. If we happened to be a single currency world, then it would be worthless as a commodity. So one possible way for crypto to hit zero, would be for everyone to just adopt Bitcoin.

now may be time to spread those assets to help catapult crypto as a mainstay.

We cannot deny that the crypto space is truly driven by speculation these days. Anything could happen in the future whenever prices go all the way to the moon or all the other way around. For crypto to reach $0 in price, something terrible needs to happen that will lead towards the closure of the crypto market and the decline of usage from people in the mainstream world. As long as Bitcoin lives, there's hope that the Blockchain industry will keep moving forward. The naysayers (like Warren Buffet) will always say that crypto will go to zero because they don't understand how it truly works. Crypto is both a technological and financial revolution that gives people power over their own money. The fact that there's no central authority behind it, makes crypto a truly indispensable tool for mainstream payments.

Nonetheless, there are so many good coins out there (like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and DASH) which have provided real use cases to everyday people. As long as there are developers working hard on these cryptocurrencies (and people use them for mainstream payments), they won't be going anywhere. For now, prices will continue to rise to "infinity and beyond". In the worse case scenario, prices could go all the way down the drain in a blink of an eye. But the crypto market will not go to zero as long as there are people buying cryptocurrencies worldwide. It'll be here to stay for a very long time. Just my thoughts Grin

I think cryptocurrency as a whole would not be going to zero in the future. The possible is some of cryptos would definitely be zero or no more value in the future because of their dead project's development. That is what the possible is, and i think some investors would be also fail in the future that invested on the crypto that got zero value in the future.
It all depends on the Developer of a project, if he is able to develop projects and products according to investor interest, then I'm sure their project will survive and of course their coins will not be zero because investors or traders always make sell / buy transactions using their coins.

If it was possible or there was even a bit of chance / reality in it, than it would have already be gone zero . Actually, they became more famous  during the time phase and the number of investors has also increased Regardlessly . I THINK crypto will be here to stay for a long time with high value . Those which have value will never be gone zero , besides  i think in the near future bitcoin will be legalized everywhere in the world because of its Unique / innovating Blockchain technology .

At the moment crypto market is going down. Main reason is low level of trust to ICO, there is a lot of scammers. But if this problem is resolved, the situation will improve, money growth in this area will increase and payments to campaign participants will increase too.

It's never possible. As long as the Internet is there. As long as the Crypto is zero or die. And in my opinion, as long as the world is not destroyed, the Internet will not end. So there is no chance that Crypto will be zero or will be destroyed.
All things can still happen and all possibilities are possible in the future, because the World of Cryptocurrency is formed by smart people, and they can destroy it again in various ways, so don't say it is impossible for anything in this world.

crypto will really go to zero if there is no more crypto exchanges which traded any cryptocurrency, and the second condition if token or coin delisted from exchange. both condition fullfilled and really be zero, but it will not happen to all cryptocurrency only on shit project that have no developtment at al in their project.
That that the result of crypto price is still increasing a lot and it may go back again above 10k as soon as possible. There will be no chance for crypto price to go to the zero. It's an impossible thing if there will be no more crypto exchange sites. The fact that anytime more and more exchange sites appear.

Back in the day, Vitalik once said that crypto will be going to zero. There has been many concerns about the longevity of cryptocurrency as a serious form of money, given that it's relatively unstable within the mainstream world. It's been 10 years since Bitcoin was created where crypto has had its ups and downs. However, many are afraid that crypto will be going to zero as the blockchain hype ends and governments start rolling their own digital currencies. When we take a look at most cryptocurrencies on the market, most of them aren't even useful at all. Perhaps, the only one is Bitcoin but it's terrible as a currency for daily transactions.

Which is why, I'm starting to wonder if crypto will really go to zero in the future? If this happens, then most of us will lose our hard-earned money as crypto becomes worthless. What are your thoughts? Huh
I think that there's nothing can be exist for such longtime without get through up and down.  Because bitcoin still depend on people work and trust.  People can be change easily and it is affect bitcoin.  If bitcoin become to zero it means we are the cause of it.  So,  just depend on this.  We can do other things too.

Those alts with strong foundation have good fight to stay in the market, whereas those substandard projects will die easily. The coins that you mentioned have a very strong resistance to go down. And I don't think they will ever see them zero value in the next coming years. Crypto has been thru a lot so I don't think they will go back to zero without any valid reason. And at the moment, I don't see a good reason why they will go back to the bottom.

Cryptocurrency can never go zero and looking at the market condition you will understand things are going back good I think BTC will really go a bit better during it's halving. I am just overwhelmed with its growth and I think many are too. Things are coming back normal.
why do you say you can never go back to zero? Can anyone provide a guarantee about what you say? because all cryptocurrency price movements have many possibilities, when digital currencies do not get permission to use, including cryptocurrency from all countries, there will certainly be many cryptocurrency that will collapse and certainly could potentially lead to zero prices.

if there will be no exchange then you will not know what price we have. prices simply will not be understandable. it’s bad when we have an exchange but no trading volumes. in this case, the price maybe 0 and this is worse than the lack of exchanges. the exchange may be added and in the absence of volumes they most likely will not appear
