You aren't sure but you have given a very solid reason for that. Bitcoin has shown that despite the good or bad market, it is still number one and can not be replaced.

I am not sure if ETH prices exceed BTC, for one obvious reason BTC is the first and most authentic coin, while ETH is more developing smart contract

It won't happen unless all the bitcoin people are going to throw their money to Ethereum. I'm holding ethereum but I'm not going to be against the king. That's an unending debate but at the very end of the discussion its very unlikely that ETH will have btc's throne. Its possible that ethereum would hit all time high's same as bitcoin but will never surpass it.

I never thought that one day Ethereum's price would cross the price of Bitcoin, although for now ethereum is one of the most popular alcoins but to surpass the current Bitcoin price requires a big effort, and don't forget Bitcoin is the mother of all Alcoin ,, I don't think that far

At first I am confident that ethereum can surpass bitcoin in the #1 cryptocurrency. But that was the time Ethereum is very popular and their platform and application are popular around the cryptoworld. But this is not the case now , because as you see ethereum value is slowly going down while bitcoin is now making movement upward.

well, for now, it becomes vague. currently the price of ETH is really far from the price of bitcoin, and bitcoin is also becoming unstable. well, for now, it's still very difficult to see that happen. maybe in the near future, we can see that whether ETH can exceed bitcoin or not.

Personally I think it is reasonably likely that ETH will pass BTC in market cap, but this is likely to happen only once smart contracts become more established in everyday life. I think that will lead to an ETH surge. As for ETH overtaking BTC in individual coin price, that's obviously less likely... but again in crypto nothing is certain.

In IT and Tech industry there is always a possibility of one giant engulfing another if they are not futuristic ready.

BTC is not adapting new BIPs but ethereum is regularly enhancing on EIP.

With this current Ethereum performance in which it was much affected by the bearish market too therefore we could see that it is impossible for Ethereum to supersede Bitcoin. Unlike Bitcoin that even in this market difficulties still it is the no.1 crypto investment because it already build a deep foundation of trust among the crypto users.

I know bitcoin is a crypto king but I have more hope with ethereum that has a better network than bitcoin, even more ethereum transactions than bitcoin. so I think ethereum can overtake bitcoin only takes a long time

It could happen but the chances are very low. Just going by the huge difference in coin supply of both these coins, it wll be a market anomaly. Bitcoin is likely to remain the leader for a long time.

It is possible given that ethereum is also a good crypto like Bitcoin. But if this thing would happen , I bet it there would be years to come due to the huge gap on their market value and as well as the negative market situation at this moment. Also, there is a possibility for ripple to be on the line since it have made history recently

Let's be realistic, we all know how huge the gap is between their market value and if we would say that ethereum is currently having a chance of overtaking Bitcoin, it would clearly be an absurd conclusion to make and is a bit risky given that market is showing no recovery at all which should be given more attentiom that choosing which one may be possibly on top someday.

i think it is possible. i dont mean that 1 ethereum will be more expensive than 1 bitcoin but i think marketcap of ethereum can reach to bitcoin in the future. so dominances may change.

You really are the truth, because if you look at the results of a coinmarket, then send Bitcoin ethereum is really very large and you need a lot of time, effort and investment to bring etifium forward.

i think its possible, but Ethereum and Bitcoin want eachother for grow, for me bitcoin is king, but ethereum have best blockchain, with hige pottential with erc20 platform.
