I am a newbie at investing but I think that if you want to invest in crypto it would be better to invest in top-10 of coinmarketcap, BTC, NEO and ETH.
I really wanted this to happen, because I have some of my coins in ETH, but in fact it is probably hardly possible, since bitkoyn has been in the lead for quite some time.
I think this will never happen in the coinmarketcap, because the price of Ethereum is so far away from bitcoin. Ehtereum is also good coin and second largest coin in the coinmarketcap. Ethereum is familiarfor its blockchain technology. So the price of ethereum will grow but it will not overtake the bitcoin price. Because bitcoin is the most valuable coin in the crypto world. Ehtereum will have price growth in future but ot will take time not immediately happens.
It is not likely that ETH will sell higher than btc someday.the total supply for each of them vary by very wide margin and they serve separate niches in the crypto ecosystem
Honestly, It's too hard for ethereum to cross BTC one day, because bitcoin is more popular and trusted, In addition to that, I know a lot of people that they didn't know about crypto and know about bitcoin, I mean the first image for them is bitcoin and by searching about bitcoin they know about other crypto and ethereum, etc.., I know that ethereum have a very high potential but bitcoin is more better in a lot of sides, maybe I am wrong, but I don't think that bitcoin will be surpassed by any crypto in the future.
I always see BTC as the Mother of all the altcoins. They really depend on the movement of BTC. But we can't deny that we want ETH to be Bitcoin's successor. But in terms of ETH to cross the price of BTC is impossible.

The day ETH crosses BTC crypto will have a blood bath and probably die.
That is my opinion of course if you ask why it is because without discussion Bitcoin is and will always be crypto legend, Vitalik also accepts that eth cannot compete with btc which leads that if this happens the only explanation will be "price manipulations" probably from banks or governmental agencies just to kill crypto.

What do you mean mate, if you want to check the technical aspects of bitcoin and ethereum. Please go ahead to check the value on the marketplace and invest the favorite coin in the market at the present time.
In sometime we will find some ICO tokens suddendly goes to moon so check those kind of ICO project's potential for sure.

The market has never been on one side for a long time so you cannot predict the future. Ethereum is progressing day by day and both bitcoin and ethereum have been running side by side. As of the current scenario, it's a very low par than bitcoins. Ethereum is down to 500$ where bitcoin is $7000, the huge difference can be seen from here and we can predict that for now sure eth will be under the bitcoin for a couple of years.
I think that it is quite possible for Ethereum to become valuable as btc, more important is that both Ethereum and Bitcoin will exist together, Ethereum as smart contract platform for decentralization aplication and Bitcoin as a first coin and base value as gold have!
Yes I think it will be done one day. Because many project run on eth smart contract. For now btc is the mother coin and eth depends on btc .But in future I assume that eth will cross that

It's too difficult for the ethereum to get beyond the bitcoin price because however bitcoin is the best.

I think that is too far to happen, because ETH was only depends on bitcoin price based on my observation when btc was in price increase the price of ETH was in nice price also but when into price dump it will follow also.
I think NO, bitcoin will always be a King.

If for one to two years into the future I think it is impossible, and if we talk the price then it is impossible to get past Bitcoin
